Anyone else think sonic shouldn't have the strongest upsmash in the game?

@JamietheAuraUser i'd be find with the ungodly lag on back slash if it broke shields, other than that I like everything you just suggested.
Sonic doesn't have the strongest up smash in the game. Not without Rage, anyway. I believe that title goes to Ike.
As for balance patches, make it so that 92% of Ryu's attacks no longer break shields, and maybe make it so that he can't deal 30% in two hits.

Sonic does have the strongest U-Smash as far as I know. But all hits must connect.

Even if he did, it got nerfed in 1.0.8. It now KOs about 10% later. Sonic's up smash KOs at 116%. Ike KOs at 90%. That's without Rage, of course. I'm pretty sure Lucario and Fox have stronger up smashes as well. Sonic does not, nor did he ever, have the strongest up smash in the game.

Just how badly did they **** up to get the impression that SONIC of all people had the strongest up smash? I mean, you'd think someone like Ike or Ganondorf would be the first candidates for strongest attacks, but not Sonic. Like I said, it got nerfed anyway, so it doesn't matter. But yeah, 116%. Not at all the strongest,

They tested it on a raised tilted platform, where they would test each character's u-smash from where the highest point they hit. In other words, the other character was on the platform at the exact spot where the apex of the smash would be. Of course this led to bias where some characters would get their sweetspots, but others would get sourspots. also, they didn't test kill percentages, they tested knockback distance and speed at 0%.

If I recall correctly, that was the same channel that made the best recovery video that was total bull****, Smash Highlights or something like that.

I watch a lot of channels tbh. The only ones that really matter to me are Rush Hour Smash and GRSmash. Just cause GRSmash has the best highlights lol.

True. GRSmash is the ****. Now that you said that, I'm bout to go see if he uploaded a new one. Probably did. He's one of the few YouTubers left who actually stick to their schedule.

My only dream is that they boost Doc's running speed to a 1.42 (AT LEAST) Come on now, he's MUCH slower than Mario but not THAT much stronger, Luigi's stronger and quicker than Doc which is not cool and even King Dedede can outrun Dr.Mario so not cool. Recovery can stay the same, it's not even bad like 99.9% of people describe it, Doc's main problem is he has terrible running speed but isn't that strong, it makes no since.

I want him to be back to his former self, he needs to be able to do double fair out of short hop, and have less landing lag on all of his aerials, that's all I want for Marth.
Samus needs a bunch of buffs, like a jab that connects, her old maid from melee, and more I don't want to list it all

I slow marf does nothing. Even brawl marth was decently fast.

Heck no, that's almost Sonic speed
Idk exact run data but Marth should be about 2.50-2.78. Marth should be running almost as Fox. He already has range, giving him speed would allow him better reaction time and improved punish game. Something people don't seem to realize.

  • Give:4drmario:an actual recovery move. Also his Final Smash now consist of falling giant pills, that stay on the ground and explode in contact with pills of the same color.
  • :4greninja:Revert his changes to original Greninja. All his jokes are now nerfed (oh the irony)
  • :4bowserjr:D-Air is now a spike. Reduced end lag on his dash attack and his Neutral B.
  • :4megaman:Make his F-Air autocancel with mini hop.
  • :4kirby:U-Throw kill at ~105%. He can B reverse now.
  • :4marth::4lucina:N-Air now autocancels with mini hop.
  • :4mario:U-tilt knockback increased a bit (So he can't stupidly "combo" you up to 40%)

  • :4olimar::4alph:Now Purple Pikmin does massive damage to shield when thrown. His f-throw now combos well.
  • :4pacman:Make him give some fuks about ANYTHING, dammit
  • :4rob:B-air now comes out faster.
  • :4villager::4villagerf:Nair comes out slower. Make his D-Throw combo better. Now U/D-Air will always attack with 2 turnips(still can dunk)
  • :4ganondorf:F-Air autocancels with full hop. (NOW USES HIS F****** SWORD) Everytime he kill anyone, he says "Heh".
  • :4palutena:Make his F/U-Tilt multihit. Reduced endlag on Dash Attack.
  • :4charizard:and:4dedede: B-Air reduced endlag.
  • :4dedede:is now voiced by the same guy that voiced him in the anime. He can B reverse.

  • :4dk: Neutral B no longer gets DK into free fall if done in the air. Added 5 frames of super armor at the start of F-Air.

Shield regen slower.
You must wait 0'75 seconds to airdodge again.
Rolls end lag slightly aumented.

Get rid of some of sonic's defensiveness and make him more offensive .
Get rid of the trip feature of Timber counter.
Add customs for DLC characters.
Remove Waluigi AT
Add playable Waluigi.

A patch where Impa gets added. and Sakurai will have buffed all the characters so they would have more of a chance up against characters like Sheik and Rosalina and Luma.

u-air does as well. autocancel after F37.

Bair also autocancels out of a SH. After F31.

Nair and Dair don't though, and I believe that they should.

Wow, I'm really not playing enough Marth :dizzy:, didn't know that. Knowledge is power, thanks bro!

Btw, I understand the D-air doesn't auto cancel, but the N-air really looks like it should auto cancel indeed.

The only "realistic" patch that I want is the shield regeneration, it's just so much, 2 seconds after ALMOST breaking it, they already have a full shield again!

And now, for my dream patches:

-I want more game modes! I want a better classic mode, the wii u classic modes is horrible, I want a classic mode like in smash 64 or melee, with different break the target stages and whatever they want to add.

-Ability to play with different strangers every match without having to going back to the menu

-Let me have a 2 out of 3 or 3 out of 5 matches with strangers, so we can choose other stages that are no omega stages

-Fourside or some other mother stage: Since the fourside music from melee is the only track (I think) that hasn't be used... one can only dream

-I want the multi man melee music!!! It was so awesome!

-I also want the metal mario fight music from 64

I agree with the Sheik nerf, but the Luma nerf is completely unnecessary. If they nerfed Luma's knockback it would defeat the purpose of Luma entirely, and they already nerfed Luma's HP (which I'm still kind of salty about).

-I have been very disappointed in sknic ever since brawl and I don't believe that his playstyle matches him at all. All of his specials are the same and while he has the the fastest dash in the game it is not fast enough to have any noticeable difference from characters like marth, fox, and captain falcon
to provide any benifit. Sonic's speed is mediocre everywhere else. Fox's moveset however suites sonic perfectly. So Sonic will have a new moveset inspired by fox and will now be the uncontested fastest in the game. and a blue fire affect will be added to his moves and specials because it would be really epic. His specials will be:
Z spindash
F boost/air boost
D tornado
U chaos control (can attack after using)
FS:
Sonic becomes super sonic and uses the chaos emeralds to stop time then charges forward through the stage then backward through the stage.Then he teleports back to the centre of the stage and returns to normal as everyone who was hit gets launched. Deals 80 damage, kills at 100. So if he hits both times you will die if you are 20 and if it only gets the last hit then you will die at 60.

To compensate for his speed he will have lower damage and knock back as well as being easier to KO.
I changed his FS because there are too many transformation powers smash in 4 and because it would make more sense as you shouldn't get hit by super sonic like ten times and not die.

Falco, Fox, Pit, and Sonic will have their old voices.

So yah it's basically project B
