also there was this other Zelda main there but hes one of those types that thinks tier list dont matter and he kept going on about how Zelda has one of the best spot dodges in the game
he also said a bunch of other stuff but I kinda tuned him out

eaux

he also was shading Mocha, but I stood up for her.
Really now? Who was he and what was he saying? If it's something you feel like it's personal, can you private message me please? Thanks for standing up for me Fuujin

Lol how could somebody miles from you possibly say ANYTHING of significance about you?

I bet the guy is like... "hey I've watched Mocha on YouTube and I'm probably a way better Zelda than she is (because I'm so pro against CPUs)." But then the guy will end up saying something like "wow Mocha makes everything look SO easy when it's really not, why is she SO much better than I am?"

Double posting in ur threads.
He says he beat her on wifi lmao
srs business apparently

but he was just saying that she wasnt very good and that all she does is spam d tilt.
I told him she was one of the few good people we have using her in the US and she lives in a hard region

this guy had no idea what he was talking about and honestly had no right to talk bad about anyone
None of the stuff he said made sense(Zelda has an amazing spot dodge, amazing approach, tier list doesn't matter, etc.).
He also called Nayru's love the "Crystals" and he was like "DO you know the Crystals tricks???" and I was like

wat?

then he kept challenging me to a ****load of dittos
I was playing pretty terrible all day but I was still able to win like 95% of them :/
He for some reason thought pivot love dropping was some amazing technique...
though I punished this with u air multiple times

Anyways dont worry about anything he said mocha, he was just some random casual and I wouldnt value his opinion
especially if you played on wifi :/

Edit: His name was acid I think

to talk about something else

WTF do I do in the Luigi Match up?!?
This match up is so scary I don't even
YoshiQ is the only match I have saved and it's a 2 stock but I think the other match may have been just as bad, or maybe I got him to his last stock, idk

It's just Zelda has the risk of being killed at like 50 and because she's so slow luigi can just safely throw stuff out and Zelda can't punish it very well without that risk of being killed.
She gets juggled to hell and back.
Then that jab to up b...

Jab doesn't have enough hitstun to lead into up B. Holding shield (unless you have some funky SDI before hand) will powershield the hit.

I haven't heard the term shading before, not that I get out much:c. Good for you standing up for Mocha. Character Mains/seconders have to stand up for each other:bee:.

1 Lol wifi. Sometimes I play terribly on wifi from varying lag, other times I do great. Wifi can have good serious games, not like offline but good enough. It's NOT a good way to judge skill unless the players play several times and have good connections for the games.:ohwell:

2 Scrubs say stuff like that, it can be funny. Dtilt's a good strategy that probably worked. I once had an Olimar player I beat every game with Link say 'you just spam and never fight'. I'm thinking, 'Awww, sorry for being cheap with a lowest tier character; I'll walk into your grab instead (eye roll)'.

3 Seriously. Good Luigis murder my Zelda:c.

Good to know.

Y'know I was at a Smashfest on Saturday and had the same problem >_>

Shield helps, and another thing to keep in mind is that Luigi has an extremely limited approach. Zelda actually doesn't need to approach (Din's is actually... better than his Fireballs (?) but he may approach with Tornado) and as long as you keep Luigi out it should be fine. Probably a case of lack of matchup experience on both our parts :(

Lol wifi. Yeah, as Rizen pointed out, it's not a good way to judge skill unless the players play several times and have good connections for the games. I myself do pretty bad in lag because I feel like I can't apply my offline game play properly due to lag. For example, if I'm trying to aerial cancel, I may end up messing up the timing. If I'm trying to shield or do something oos, I end up air dodging off stage. <.<

Anyway, I played Acid online awhile back, mostly in doubles. I even helped him with a couple of techniques he was having trouble with. Guess that's what happens when you help people out sometimes… they talk about you behind your back.

This Acid guy sounds like he's new to the offline scene. They typically come in two kinds...

One they're very modest and don't expect to do well and are generally well liked. The other kind of newbie is the guy who thinks he's the **** and trashtalks. He then gets destroyed and chances are he'll never come back.

Gotta admit though Zelda's Crystal techs are pretty flashy. :p

or they're jerks who talk down to everyone before playing them, lose pathetically with ICs, and are such scrubs that a Lucario makes a blog about them posting a replay of Link beating them and a PM the Link sent to the Lucario and said to keep private that mentions big talk is the troll compensating for something. then since the troll is not immediately blockable in chats they keep posting how much they hate the Link and inflating their ego but refusing to play a rematch 5 times using 2 accounts until you just wonder if they need psychiatric help.

Oh my... too bad theres people like that :/

lol @ taking wifi that seriously. I also had some wins playing Mocha, but it's not a reason to feel like the best or anything like that, I still believe I got lucky or something... But we all know Mocha is a very good player and a cool person. So it's kind of irrelevant what that guy said xD

And it makes me remember that something similar happened here like 2 years ago, it was this super scrubby TL who said he and Hyuga(Mexico's Best TL) had the same level based on absoultely nothing but watching videos... We made a tourney, invited this guy and Mexico City players(Hyuga included). They played a $50 MXP MM (about 4 USD) and well here are the videos showing how it ended...

They were obviously at the same level. /sarcasm

Eugh drama within your own Smash community is the worst unless it's putting somebody in their place, hehe.

That Twilight Princess panel is so right. Ocarina of Time is hilarious too, although I wonder how they came to the conclusion she'd respond like that.

ALttP makes I suppose after thinking about it a bit

The LoZ and ALttP pictures look wrong. The LoZ Zelda looked like this:

oops! Sorry, my bad. Like this:

I think Zelda in ___ game would say "____":
SS "Oh? You've been hanging around the item check counter a lot..."
ALttP "Then why did you rescue 6 other maidens before me?!"
WW "Your head has gotten too big."
OoT "I know."
LoZ "Thank you for saving me, hero! ...I'm Zelda; I'm a Virgo. What's your sign?" ...
TP "You're sure Ilia's okay with this too?"
good, its full of weeaboo pandering virginbait anyways
I had to look up weeaboo.
Says the guy with the borderline inappropriate avatar.
I think she- I mean it looks good.

Eh? It's MrEh. Hey.

I'm loving that image. MM, LW, and PH (and ST if she's different from PH's) versions are missing though. But the major one's are accounted for so I'm pleased.
