  • I hate it when the political side you're on keeps making ridiculous claims you don't agree with. For example, there's that tweet that says a list of fast food chains all support Trump's reelection and backed him financially. I honestly have nothing... Look that up for literally two minutes and you'll be disproven
Fans: Can we have more popular first party titles on the SNES Online like Super Mario RPG, Donkey Kong Country or Earthbound?

Nintendo: Nope. We can only add obscure hidden gems.

Fans: Oh, so can you add cult classics like Uniracers, Plok or ClayFighter?

    Nintendo: Nope
Since Cody is a Spirit in Smash, does that mean Final Fight is in the game as a "dependant series" or is it just in the game? He is counted in game as from the Street Fighter series, which does complicate things
July 21, Waluigi will officially be 20. Go ahead and celebrate that like a national holiday, because it is
The most disappointing thing about lego Mario is how Lego Dinensions absolutely nailed Sonic
To this day it’s still super impressive Super Mario Bros. 3 managed to run on an NES

Technically SMB1 was already pushing the hardware to the limit. Pretty much all NES games after 1985 started using special chips to beef the system up starting with Ghosts N Goblins. Check out Metal Slader Glory to have your mind blown, it's the largest NES game and it's development costs were so high HAL Labs almost went bankrupt if not for Nintendo buying them out. lol

I just looked up Metal Slader Glory and how the hell did they fit that on the NES hardware? It almost looks like a 16-bit game.

They couldn't. lol The game got a directors cut for the SNES. Was the last official game released for the system in 2000. Other NES titles I'd check out are Batman Revenge of the Joker (large graphics), Gimmick! (Music/physics engine), Lagrange Point (Music is almost 16bit), Moon Crystal (animations), Recca (speed no slowdown/3DS eShop), and Pokemon Yellow (pirate).
Zelda Dungeon maker DLC for Super Mario Maker 2 sounds possible, until you realize a proper Zelda dungeon maker wouldn’t work unless you had the option to switch game styles (hopefully between LoZ, AlttP, AlbW and LA) which would warrant a whole other game
It’s interesting when games take inspiration from their spinoffs. Like when New Horizons got a new design system from Happy Home Designer, or how Sonic Mania has Mean Bean Machine as a boss
It's ridiculously difficult to describe the political spectrum without being super biased to one side. For instance, a conservative would describe a liberal as "someone who has issues with other people's opinions and wants to change them" where a liberal (like myself) would describe a conservative as "Someone scared of change who doesn't care about oppression." Both are very harmful, inaccurate ways to describe each side
I just played Samurai Shodown II on Nintendo Switch. It has amazing gameplay and lore, but now I never wanna touch a Samurai Shodown game again because I can't stare at gameplay for one second without getting a headache from all the flashing lights. Like seriously, it's ridiculous
I legitimately thought Little Town Hero was a Nintendo title before I saw it's being released on PS4

It's by Game Freak, I believe, and they've released games on other consoles before. (though I'm not sure what aside from one game about an elephant)

Megadoomer Megadoomer They did Pulseman on the Sega Genesis, back in the day. In fact, the villain group in that inspired the name for Team Galaxy in Diamond/Pearl.
I have a dumb yet smart idea: Smash competitions at a public swimming pool. Hear me out: (Obviously once the whole pandemic is over) There will be Smash competitions at swimming pools. The spectators will be in the pool, able to swim at their leisure and the contestants will be out of the pool, playing Smash hooked up to a projector, projecting it onto a big screen. The reason I want this is so we can have MANDATORY SHOWERS FOR EVERYONE! And unlike most pools, I do mean mandatory. Put a guard there and everything, Participants will of course dry off after.

What if Smash players fell in the pool after losing a match? *It'll be a good motivation*

Why the hell is Smash players not showering a problem? Different noses have different tastes, I personally prefer BO over deodorant any day and there's many others who would feel the same. Don't try to enforce your ideal smell on others. Remember what you posted just a few minutes before this? "you should have learned that “you don’t always get what you want” in kindergarten"? frankly, if your nose is so easily offended you just shouldn't go out in public at all - strange that the guy who said "people should have the right to post edgy memes" is getting offended over a scent of all things.
If Ultimate online is an actually an unplayable mess like people say it is, why do people play it so often? IT AINT THAT BAD

Tekken 7 and Soul Calibur 6 have laggy online too, and I don't see people talk about that, just whether their characters even show up in Smash at all.

Well right now they don't have a choice due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the only alternative is to not play Smash at all. And it's not like there's some wildly popular crossover platform fighting game with 75 characters in it and good online to give players an alternative, for most of these folks it's Smash or nothing. It is demonstrably way worse than even poor netcode among fighting games, which is absurd given the amount of resources at the Smash devs disposal to improve it.

I used to meet up every Saturday with some friends and play ultimate. Can't do that anymore.
It annoys me when people talk about people's mental health when discussing why we should reopen. Sure, mental health is a big problem but a virus won't stop to let people recover. Besides, you can still take walks outside, zoom with people you know or even do online therapy. And people's mental health would be a lot worse when their relatives are dying. Not to mention the fact that there are thousands of overworked corporate slaves that would love nothing more than to spend time with their family.

As someone with his own mental baggage, I have genuine empathy for people suffering from mental health issues. But if we open too recklessly, Covid-19 will see a sudden spike and we'll be forced to lock down again, putting us back at square one.

It seems counterintuitive, but I think if we want things to go back to normal in the long term, we have to be more patient right now.
Is it true that StarTropics and Dragalia Lost are the only first party game franchises not represented in Smash Ultimate?
    Wario Wario Wario

Gumshoe, Doshin the Giant, English Training, Aura Aura Climber, Tingle, Tin Star, Monkey Magic, Sky Skipper, Short Order + Eggsplode, Vegas Stakes, Unirally, multiple Game and Watch sub-franchises, The Stretchers, Good Job!, Clubhouse Games, 100 Classic Books Collection

multiple of these are Western-exclusive or hard to make Spirits of. The biggest omission would probably be Tingle, as that series was released in Japan, did get one localised release, sold REALLY well in Japan and is referenced heavily in Hyrule Warriors.
It's perfectly fine for Nintendo to not translate puzzle games on SNES Online, but imagine if they didn't translate an SNES Fire Emblem game and put it on the service? That would be inconvenient.
What's with that one picture IGN uses here https://www.ign.com/lists/top-100-games/1 for Super Mario World at #1? It's not even a screenshot from the game, you can tell because it uses a goomba model from Super Mario Bros. 3 Advance
The fact that #breakfreepersona is a thing is ridiculous. Sure, Persona 5 Royal on Switch would be amazing and I would love it, but demanding it like a spoiled child isn't going to get you anywhere. Porting takes way more time and effort than people realize and developers won't put that amount of time into a game that's already been completed and wrapped up just to satisfy people like that. Besides, the Persona Q and most of the Shin Megami Tensei series is Nintendo exclusive
Should I get Xenoblade Definitive Edition or Xenoblade 2? Not gonna lie, i'm probably gonna go with Xenoblade 2 just for the waifus...

Allow me to clear up a misconception about Xenoblade 2 that may impact your decision. People were initially under the impression that it was a separate continuity that had nothing to do with the story and events of Xenoblade 1.

Without going into details, this impression ended up being wrong. How much of the events of XBC1 are spoiled by XBC2? Honestly for each individual person it's dependent on how they react to it.

If you just go by what's in the game itself of Xenoblade 2 you'll mostly be ok. At worst you'd just be curious about how some of the connections work. If you try to look up a few more details on like a wiki or something, you may be spoiled about things involving Xenoblade 1 that you didn't intend to find out before playing. I would know, that happened to me -_-

Long story short there's not really much issue with starting with 2 instead of 1. But starting with 1 is TECHNICALLY the safer route in terms of spoilers.

I didn't know that, that's interesting. I'll probably go with Xenoblade 1 then. It'll also give me that satisfying feeling of realizing what a Smash fighter's moveset means after I play them. I have a feeling that for a Xenoblade fan, Shulk isn't as forgettable in Smash as he seems to be for people who haven't played the game. As a side note, is Xenoblade Chronicles X connected to the first one in a similar way?

"Is Xenoblade Chronicles X connected to the first one in a similar way?"

Officially, no. But fans have thought of theories and evidence that it could become so later on.
Sometimes when fanmade movesets are so ridiculously gimmicky, they hurt to look at.

That was actually the video I was referring to. Taking away one of the most basic movement options for a character would just make them way too gimmicky. Little Mac is controversial as is with his bad air-game so I can't even imagine having a character where getting on top of a Battlefield platform is a hassle.

Also that neutral special where the opponent can't grab onto the ledge thanks to a tall pillar seems broken as hell.

There's a Youtuber I like named BrawlFan1 who makes movesets for characters and one he made for Steve seemed promising until he said something like "You'll start off with nothing and have to craft steve's moveset!" I immediately had to click off the video after that...
Why are there so little spirits of human pokemon characters? I'm not even kidding there are only TWO... And that's because they're fighter spirits.
