Neutral special: Dragon glove. It fires a long laser that hurts the first thing it hits.

Side special: Chilla glove. Press and hold B to charge this move and when it's done charging, press B again to throw a long ranged punch using the Chilla glove which freezes the opponent who gets hit by it.

Up special: Spring Man punches the ground which reoils himself into the air.

Down special: Clapback glove. It's a shield that reflects projectiles also any opponents who run into the Clapback glove will automatically be bounced back like a pinball.

Final Smash: Hedlok. Spring Man wears him which gives him 4 extra arms and throws a flurry of punches using all 6 arms and then Hedlok fires a giant ball of energy that explodes when it hits something.
Rare Replay not coming to Switch doesn't make any sense at all. Banjo came to Smash so his games should be on Switch.
When a 1st party game becomes successful, that means Sakurai has to give it a rep in Smash hence to why Inkling, Incineroar, Byleth and ARMS character got in.
Let's think of all the good things that happened because of the Coronavirus.

    - Frozen II and Onward wouldn't be on Disney+ if not for the virus.
    - Because of the virus, we don't have to go to work or school.

    What other good things happened?
Are Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing and Splatoon Nintendo's four largest 1st party IPs?

Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, and Donkey Kong if you ignore Wii as an IP (which it technically is). If you consider Pokemon a 2nd party, then Kirby.
    Inkling Man

Nintendo gets help from other companies while making Pokemon, Kirby and DK. They make Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing and Splatoon all by themselves.

That's a reasonable distinction to make but it wasn't your initial question. You asked which were their largest IPs, and your original list was inaccurate under those conditions so you got some replies.
Sakurai said Ultimate was for good boys and girls but that doesn't mean good boys and girls are Ultimate's only primary target demographic. If so there wouldn't be any point of including characters good boys and girls don't recognize. What good boy or girl knew who Joker was when he was announced? They didn't recognize him but teens and adults did so Ultimate's primary target demographic must be good boys, good girls, teens and adults all together.
Banjo is basically Nintendo's prodigal son who finally came home after nearly 15 years.

Unless they're even planning to make a new game with them.

Also, I do hope everyone stops calling the duo just by the bear. It's a microaggression. Though I do agree that BK's comeback was the most hype thing they sought after for many years.

Teeeeeeeeeechnically in this case it’s just Banjo because banjo debuted in Diddy Kong Racing without Kazooie, but who really cares about that

Being a speculator yourself, what can you say about the possibility of female fighters this pass? Considering that most of the names tossed are male..
    Inkling Man
    Inkling Man
There's the chance Rex & Pyra will be in Vol. 2. Pyra is female.

That is good and all, but what about solo female fighters (not including alts). I'm talking like, Bayonetta.
    Inkling Man

There's the chance Dixie Kong will be DLC but 2B can't join unless she's been in at least one game on a Nintendo console before joining. Cloud was in Kingdom Hearts on Nintendo consoles and Persona Q2 was on 3DS before Joker was announced so they were eligible.
It doesn't take two years to make 6 characters unless an outbreak is slowing down the development on the 6 characters.

I'll thank you not to delve into conspiracy theories. Let's keep in mind that they meant December of 2021 at the latest. "The Latest" for the first fighters pass was February 2020 and it was finished before then. Also, "It doesn't take two years to make 6 characters"? How do you know?
    Inkling Man
    Inkling Man
Because Ultimate began development in early 2016 and it released in late 2018 and Ultimate had 74 characters (76 counting Pokemon Trainer's 3). They made 74-76 characters in under 3 years.

Yeah and a lot of them were characters they made before and didn't have to do from scratch. Not to mention Echo fighters. Please don't talk like you know how the process of developing characters goes. You don't. I don't either. No fan does.
Some people actually think FP6 was meant to be 3rd party but they made it 1st party because of the Coronavirus. FP6 was always meant to be an ARMS character.
Many of the ARMS gloves would play too similarly in Smash so the Toaster, Boomerang, Tribolt, Dragon, Clapback, Megaton, Kablammer, Blorb, Parasol and Popper gloves are the only gloves that need to be used in Spring Man's moveset.

I mean Simon and Richter and Samus and Dark Samus exist. There could also easily be a Pikachu clone that does fire damage instead of electric damage. Sure it doesn't make much of a difference but different elements would be super easy to implement.
If Joker wasn't put in Smash, Switch owners wouldn't care about Persona 5 and they wouldn't be asking for a Switch port of it.

Not true. Would there be less people asking for it? More than likely. But there would still be Switch Owners who would care about Persona 5 and would like to see a port. Don’t group everyone into one generalization.

I care about the SMT-verse even before that happened, and I think asking for it is a waste of time, since Persona fans barely get to see their stuff ported onto anything that's not a Sony system. Phantom Strikers was a lucky accident simply since Omega-Force aren't being difficult about ports.

There'd still be people begging for SMTV to finally reveal something else.
If hot weather doesn't kill the Coronavirus, pools and amusement parks may not get to open this summer and FP6 will be the only good thing about summer 2020 and if that gets delayed, this will be the worst summer ever.

The Mega Man fan game community is looking strong, so their projects should possibly be done by the end of the year, at least (except for Mega Man X Corrupted, I'm convinced that's their Duke Nukem Forever at this point).
Xenoblade, Fire Emblem, Kid Icarus and the Mother series wouldn't be where they are today if not for Smash Bros..
Did people really think FF7 was coming to the Wii U when Cloud joined Smash 4? No other PS1 games were put on the console and FF7 is an old game. Cloud was actually meant to be an ad for FF7 Remake. Sakurai chose Cloud because he wanted to promote it.

How did Sakurai benefit from promoting Cloud?

I think he just picked Cloud because he thought he'd be a cool and popular character.

Sakurai has no problem promoting a game on another company's console. Remember in the Banjo direct when he encouraged us to play Banjo-Kazooie on XBOX?
    ZephyrZ

^He did, but it'd be a stretch to say that he added Banjo just to promote a two decade old game.

I think we have a tendency to overthink what makes a character "worthy" to be in Smash when Sakurai is just trying to make a fun game.
Let's be real, the ARMS character joining is Spring Man. Nintendo just wasn't ready to show his reveal trailer because the coronavirus slowed down his development time.

If it is Spring Man. They should then have Springtron take his place as an assist.

Something kinda tells me too he'll come with Ribbon Girl as an echo. The fact both his and her screens were shown being the biggest in the Direct makes me feel that tbh.
What if we find all bats and keep them in cages to help make sure a pandemic never happens again?

So we keep the bats in cages, the basketballs in baskets, the footballs in...feet maybe, and the boxing gloves in boxes. Got it

Simpler solution: don't have a "random animal that has no business being eaten by anyone" market ever again.
I'm very glad Nintendo still cares about ARMS even though it didn't become Splatoon's level of popular and successful.

You're right! Even if Nintendo are about three years too late with the timing of it, it'll be interesting to see a representative from a franchise when they're not even the main character. It kind of emphasizes how we all play different characters in different kinds of games, so somebody unexpected coming out of left field (rather than someone you'd expect), kinda reflects the nature of a game like that. Y'know?

I'm probably not the right guy to analyze this, but I think by the time the fighter's put in the game, I won't be so unsure about them. (Y'know, given they still could've just put an ARMS fighter in at launch. Right now it's like putting Shovel Knight as an Assist Trophy, but then making Plague Knight a playable character. It's just not the most logical kind of representation, but I'm sure you'll reply with a counterpoint.)
Ultimate has way too many old stages and not enough brand new stages. There should have been at least 50 brand new stages and only 50 old stages.

If they did that, the game wouldn't have even been released until 2019. Guarantee it.
    E, E10+, T and M are the equivalents of G, PG, PG-13 and R.
It's the 26th and a Nintendo Direct wasn't announced 1 or 2 days ago but the leakers said the Indie Direct would be on the 17th when it was on the 18th so a Nintendo Direct could still happen but in a couple days more or less.

It's announcement tomorrow or bust, more or less, since tomorrow is Thursday, meaning they'd air it on a Friday.

Otherwise, we're probably pushing April unless it's on the 30th/31st.
What will Nintendo do to celebrate Splatoon's 5th anniversary this year?

I am not staying in my house for 12-18 months if that's how long it will be until the Coronavirus vaccine is ready. I'll repeatedly wash my hands and stay far away from elders if I go outside.
If ARMS has to be a niche franchise, that's OK as long as they keep making more ARMS games. EarthBound, Xenoblade and Fire Emblem are niche but they kept getting new installments anyway.

ARMS is not structured like those examples, the only way to resell it is by going to a different genre or console. Otherwise, it'll just be the same thing(something Nintendo likes doing anyway)
    Inkling Man
    Inkling Man
ARMS doesn't need a genre change. Every character just needs a lot more attacks and they shouldn't play so similarly. 15-20 attacks per character should do it.

Fire Emblem isn't really niche anymore. As big as games like Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon? Not really. But Fire Emblem is one of Nintendo's big series now.

And Xenoblade seems to at least be on the way to that as well. Not quite there yet, but it's getting there.
