  • I want to be able to play Diddy Kong Racing on something other than N64. It needs to be included in Nintendo Switch Online when N64 games are added.
Rex should be about as tall as Young Link if he joins because that's how tall he is compared to Shulk.

Well Smash is never accurate with size or height because K. Rool is around the same size as DK in Smash while he is like 4 or 5 times bigger than DK in the DKC games. Same with Ridley compared to Samus. In fact, I would say their giant sizes after taking a mushroom would be their accurate sizes or close to it.
    Inkling Man

How tall should Rex be in Smash then?
Should Xenoblade Chronicles 1 have been E10+ instead of T? The game is incredibly tame other than mild language and some blood. E10+ could have worked but not E.
How were good boys and girls supposed to know who Joker was? GOOD boys and girls don't play games that they're too young to play unless their parents let them play games like Persona 5.
Don't you hate it when TV shows and movies portray Star Wars fans as losers and nerds?
I wish Banjo could do the Pack Whack for at least one of his moves. Kazooie can do the Wing Whack.

DUDE!!! Imagine if Banjo had Taxi Pack in Smash and it worked similar to Isabelle and Villager's Pocket. That would be so broken and awesome. But I imagine the other player captured in Banjo's backpack would be able to escape especially at a low damage ratio.
Rate this moveset for the ARMS character.

Neutral B: Dragon glove. It fires a long laser that can be reflected even though it can't be reflected in ARMS. Also the ARMS character has a Rush Gauge next to their percentage and when it fills up, the neutral B will become doing a Rush Attack for one use only.

Side B: Chilla glove. Press and hold B charge up the glove and when it's done charging, do the side B again to throw a long ranged punch that freezes opponents. If you let go of B before the glove is done charging, a ring will appear around you that deflects attacks and projectiles but the ring will dissapear after one second also you won't be able to throw the freezing punch unless you fully charge the Chilla glove.

Up B: ARMS character punches the ground and recoils himself into the air. This leaves him in a helpless state but press A or B just before landing to bounce back into the air. This also works on opponents but it won't send them downward unlike footstooling.

Down B: Clapback glove. It's a shield that reflects projectiles and also repells opponents like a pinball. So it functions like a Bumper that reflects projectiles.

Final Smash: Hedlok. ARMS character wears Hedlok's mask which gives him 4 extra ARMS and the character does a flurry of long ranged punches using all 6 arms and then uses Hedlok's mask to fire a ball of energy that explodes when it hits something.
Since Banjo joined, one of four things need to happen.

    - Rare Replay Switch port.
    - Banjo-Kazooie, Tooie and Diddy Kong Racing for Switch Online when N64 games are added to Switch Online.
    - Banjo-Kazooie remake for both Switch and XBOX One.
    - New Banjo game for both Switch and XBOX One.
The term kids game means kids are the only primary target. All Smash Bros. fans including the ones that are kids should all be equally important regardless of age.
This "new life" of social distancing and staying apart from others is all just temporary until the vaccine is ready. Once enough people get the vaccine, life will return to how it's supposed to be.

I wouldn't mind this temporary "new life" if our president was actually trying to stop the virus and continuing lockdown. He's pretty much completely reopened the country, and everyone threw their common sense and safety standards out the window. He's also refused to put the country under lockdown once the second wave hits. It's gotten to the point where I want to move to New Zealand because their president actually gives a **** and almost completely destroyed the virus there at this point (usually 0-2 new cases every two days) I've had enough.

Companies could go out of business if the lockdown goes on any longer. Plus people have cabin fever from having to stay home all the time.
Rare pretty much invented anything you normally think of when you think of the Donkey Kong franchise. Without them, DK wouldn't have the design he has now, Diddy Kong and King K. Rool wouldn't exist and Tropical Freeze and other more recent DK games wouldn't exist because they took the Rare games's influence.
Banjo-Threeie should be a prequel to Nuts and Bolts where we learn how Gruntilda's head got buried in the rocks.

We already kind of find that out in Banjo-Tooie. After the Hag 1 explodes her whole body is destroyed aside from her head and everyone is playing catch with her head at the end. They probably throwed her head off of the tower afterwards and she landed in those pile of rocks untl she got out in Nuts & Bolts.
    Megadoomer

I figured she had spent eight years getting from Cauldron Keep to Spiral Mountain while stuck as a head, and getting through the rocks was the last step. Being buried under a rock for two years and dying just made her angrier.
Some may think Wolf deserved to be Smash 4 DLC more than Lucas did. Here's the thing though, Lucas is more unique and fun to use than Wolf is so Lucas was higher priority.
    L

lucas is more unique than wolf?
    How?

Lucas still feels way closer to ness than wolf does to fox, and while both still play way differently compared to who they were based off of, lucas has always felt "closer" to ness.

Lucas has a tether grab and he can use PSI Magnet to heal himself.

Who could possibly be the villian in Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition: Future Connected? All of the main story's villians were killed so they may or may not invent a new villian.

What else is new, us Streets of Rage fans had to wait until 4's release to find out if anyone would replace Mr. X.
Prediction, this is when each Vol. 2 character will release:

    FP6: June 2020.
    FP7: August 2020.
    FP8: October 2020.
    FP9: December 2020.
    FP10: Feburary 2021.
    FP11: April 2021.

December 2021 is a placeholder end date, so we don't know when we'll get any of the other characters, so it's best not to predict anything. It rarely works anyway.

The N64 version of Conker's Bad Fur Day didn't release in Japan but Japan would still recognize Conker from Diddy Kong Racing and Rare Replay. Conker needs to join.
If Banjo gets a new game it should be called Banjo-Rebootie because it would be a reboot.
Why do people still think relevance matters when deciding the roster? Banjo shows that discontinued franchises can still be part of Smash.
    R
    RetrogamerMax
Because most people think Nintendo wants Sakurai to choose entirely new characters for promotional reasons for the majority of the roster. Though that isn't entirely the case. We get a good chunk of popular, unrelevant, and legacy characters in each Smash game. There is enough diversity in each Smash's newcomer section to go around. Though, Fire Emblem got 3 newcomers and a cut Melee veteran back in Smash 4 which I would say is why too many characters to add for one franchise in one Smash game.
    KirbyWorshipper2465

Because people refuse to study history. It's been that way since Melee.

America's own government is heavily to blame for why it took off so much here. An idiot president who constantly claims it's a "hoax" by his political rivals until it becomes too late is a huge part of the reason we're in this mess. Add in how he lies through his teeth all the time making bogus claims on treatments, including telling people that injecting/drinking a disinfectant cleaner will help, and you not only have to worry about people dying from the virus, but by doing something stupid all because they hang on to every word their "leader" tells them as if it's true, while ignoring all professionals who are telling them point blank to not listen to ANY "medical" advice coming from Chester Cheetoh's lips.

Our country right now doesn't have a leader, and in fact has a dangerous compulsive liar who doesn't care what damage he may cause to others.
Remember, Banjo has four mainline games, not three. Grunty's Revenge counts even though it's a GBA game.

I never played Grunty's Revenge myself, but I'm pretty sure it's kind of acknowledge as filler of certs since Nuts & Bolts didn't bring it up. I know it sounds stupid, but honestly I think Rare kind of pretends the GBA games never happened for some reason. Though I would love to check Grunty's Revenge out sometime as it looks underrated.

Working at Microsoft made it risky to reference Nintendo products, at least when Phil Spencer wasn't running things.
    R
    RetrogamerMax
Plus Grunty's Revenge was a GBA game and Microsoft has never released a portable Xbox console before so there was no way of putting it on XBLA or Rare Replay because of that I guess.
I wonder why Origami King wasn't revealed in the March direct. They could have saved it for the end of the direct and it would be the "there's one more thing to show you" kind of reveal.
Gruntilda is to Banjo what Dr. Robotnik is to Sonic.
Why was "SSBU is for good boys and girls" the highlight of the Terry direct? We already had a feeling it was for good boys and girls.

So...I see you're quite aware of BK, eh...

You're kinda acting concerned as if BK's getting cut from the roster. What do you think are the odds of him NOT getting in the next Smash game? If you were to ask me however, I'd say Nintendo bigwigs are gonna keep him in to keep fans like ya happy.

PS. Try and say BK next time? Leaving Kazooie out is a microaggression for discrediting women.
After Rare and Microsoft see how positively received the Banjo DLC was, hopefully they'll change their minds about Banjo-Threeie and decide to make it. But it should be for both XBOX One and Switch. If Minecraft can be on other companies' platforms then why can't a new Banjo game be?

    1. Minecraft is a multiplayer game, presumably Banjo wouldn't be. Multiplayer games benefit a lot more from cross-platform releases, eating into the value of exclusivity for a major platform owner.
    2. Minecraft had already been ported to numerous consoles by Mojang before Microsoft acquired it. It was never funded by Microsoft in order to entice people to buy their hardware, so exclusivity was never part of why they got it.
    3. Releasing on both Switch and Xbox One would require Banjo-Threeie's graphical fidelity to be significantly worse to match the Switch's specs.
    4. Why wouldn't Banjo-Threeie be an Xbox Series X title in the first place?
    Inkling Man
    Inkling Man
So why can Super Lucky's Tale be on Switch but not a Banjo game?
Why do people say Banjo is a non Japanese character? He originated in a DK game and that makes him a Donkey Kong character. Banjo-Kazooie is a Donkey Kong spin off game because a Donkey Kong character is the main character of it. It doesn't matter who owns the rights to Banjo, he's still part of the DK series.

Diddy Kong and King K. Rool were made in England too and they're also Donkey Kong characters.
    ZephyrZ
    ZephyrZ
^Yeah, and some people consider them western Donkey Kong characters.

If anything though, these discussions can show how arbitrary the distinction between "western" and "Japanese" characters can be. I don't think it's something we should get too hung up on.
    R
    RetrogamerMax
In origin, Diddy and K. Rool are British characters because of being created by Rare but by ownership they're Japanese characters because of being owned by Nintendo. So in that regard, currently and forever they're Japanese characters.
    D
What type of characters would you prefer: Western characters in Smash or Japanese characters in Smash? Prefer the latter tho.
What if Baldi (Baldi's Basics) was a Mii costume for Swordfighters? He can use his ruler as a sword.
If Sakurai said Buzzy Beetle got the most votes among negotiable and realizable characters, would you believe him? The ballot was mainly used to decide the Ultimate newcomers. Smash 4 Bayonetta was probably just an ad for Bayonetta 2.

Megadoomer Megadoomer Exactly! I voted for K. Rool in the Smash Ballot and I was disappointed to hear that Bayonetta won or supposedly was the most easily negotiated popular character to put in from the Ballot into Smash 4. I stop thinking about it because it was over afterwards and I had no control over the matter. Plus I had low to mid hopes K. Rool was going to make it as DLC at the time and I really wasn't sure if he would be popular enough in the Smash Ballot or not to make it in. I'm thankful I got K. Rool, Ridley, and Banjo & Kazooie in Ultimate and I don't care if Bayonetta beat them in the Ballot or not. Besides, the Smash Ballot was a suggestion box not an election as almost everyone saw it as.
We need more non iconic 3rd parties besides Bayonetta and Joker. Banjo and Terry don't count because they USED to be icons. I'm counting characters who were never iconic.
Banjo wouldn't have lost his icon status if Microsoft used him correctly. Why don't they use Banjo very often?

Like Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario Wario said, a majority of the original staff that made the N64 Banjo-Kazooie games and Rare games in general in the 90s all left the company right when the buyout was going on. A lot of Rare employees wanted to stay with Nintendo while the higher ups at Rare and the Stamper brothers the founders were the ones that were "O'key dokey!" With Microsoft purchasing their company since that would get them a lot of money out of it.

I believe Rare and Microsoft either didn't care or just didn't know what to do with all the old Rare IPs after so much of the original staff left. Same thing with Nintendo and DKC since Rare and the staff working on those games left Nintendo completely after the Microsoft purchase and Nintendo didn't know what to properly do with the franchise until they gave it to Retro to work on it in 2010. It's why DKC was in spin off hell in the 2000s.

Imagine where Banjo would be today if Rare used him correctly. He would be at least as famous as Crash Bandicoot.
    R
    RetrogamerMax
Banjo & Kazooie could have been Microsoft's platforming mascot in general had they used them more properly over the years. It's sad really because I wouldn't be complaining about the buyout if Microsoft had Rare pumping out quality games like in the 90s every so often.
