I sometimes like to read reviews for movies on parent sites and laugh at some of the irrational ones - one bizarre trend I've noticed is parents calling their own children spoiled - I don't think they understand the meaning of that word, like at all - and even if they did it's a pretty trashy thing to shame a child, theirs or otherwise.

the next Smash game should reject CGI trailers in favour of bringing back blog posts - it'd make spoilers easier to avoid, allow obscure characters to join the battle without wasting anyone's time with a long wait, surprise character drops would be hype as all hell and players would get a decent idea of how a character plays before they release

one thing I love about Wallace and Gromit is how the first movie is about going to the moon to eat cheese, and the most recent is about foiling a serial killer's revenge plot, yet they still feel like part of the same series and timeline with the same characters.

I'd say the only "locks" in Smash history (outside of the OG 8) were Bowser in Melee and Inkling in Ultimate. pretty much every character other than them had something or other going against their Smash inclusion - heck, at least half of the OG 8 had things going against them: Fox had never fought on foot at the time, people thought Pokemon was a fad, Samus hadn't had a new game in a whole generation and Donkey Kong had only been playable in his own series once!

It must be hard to have a Mortal Kombat character as your most wanted Smash character, since the MK series as a whole is basically in the highest caliber of the "literally literally literally x10 impossible" camp of Smash newcomers given that the series as a whole is banned in Japan.
