I've been thinking about how a new Smash game would affect Ultimate. It's biggest claim to fame is that it has all the characters, so what will it be when there are characters it doesn't have? Some people already see Wii U/3DS as "pointless" games as they see Ultimate as being just that game but "better". I feel like recent Smash games aren't really trying to "be" anything beyond "the latest Smash game", it all just feels default.

Game idea: A chatroom where occasionally one member will be replaced by an AI that tries to act like them. The players's goal is to find out who has been replaced. There are probably some big problems with it (what do you do if you're the first one to be replaced?) but I think it could be neat with some fine tuning

I always hated that gag in cartoons whenever they'd have a super cute creature but then some big scary creature comes in then the super cute creature just murders the big scary creature showing it's actually super dangerous because they'd always give the cute creature giant spiky teeth or whatever right before murdering the big scary creature and that always annoyed me because they'd never commit to having an actually purely cute creature being super dangerous. Moopsy from Star Trek comes close at least.
