For the longest time I thought Boogie2988 was a satire channel. I'm not trying to fat shame but his physical appearance lines up with the "slobby middle-aged gamer" stereotype so well I genuinely thought he was in a fat suit, which wasn't made any better by his extremely ridiculous actions and bad takes. It was when he released his genuine Iwata tribute that made me realise... oh god, this guy's serious.

I don't get why Melee fans find it so hard to admit wavedashing is a glitch. It is undeniably a glitch, that doesn't make it any more or less of a valid competitive technique. If Mario 64 fans can own the fact BLJ is a glitch, why can't Melee fans say the same for wavedashing?

When I make descriptions for Global Smash Roster, usually characters with long histories, developed personalities or generally something interesting to say about them tend to get super short descriptions, while characters nobody cares about tend to have extremely long descriptions. I had to half my description for Rilla Roo because it was too long, while my Jill (Drill Dozer) description is just 38 or so words long.

Someone just told me I was being offensive for making a joke about non-verbal autism (that wasn't even intended to be offensive, basically just pointing out how unusual the videos non-verbal autistic people post to YouTube are) and then circumvented the swear filter to refer to them as the R-word, before trying to tell me that "unsupervised" is a slur.

As a huge fan of the 90s aesthetic, I really hate when modern productions or products try to recreate the aesthetic but literally only go off "colourful triangles and squiggles" and nothing else.

It's not as bad as trying to replicate the 80s aesthetic and just using that "neon sunset" design type which has literally nothing to do with the 80s though

There's probably a few people out there who know Ashley by name but don't know she has anything to do with Wario. Most people would call this a bad thing but I'd consider it a testament to how memorable and varied the WW character designs are.

I think if Nintendo were to experiment with breaking the "Mario Mandate" a little, Ashley would be the perfect character to use - she's unlike anyone else in the regular Mario roster, but also doesn't have a confusing backstory or strange design - you can see her with the skull jewel; crown-like headband and little devil friend on her shoulder, and instantly know what she's all about, she wouldn't bat more eyes on a Mario Kart roster than Daisy when Mario Tennis 64 came out. Die-hard fans get a character they know well; while casual fans just see a moody little witch.

He's the sort to sit in a crowd of kids talking about the latest Amphibia episode or whatever and ask "hey, you ever heard of Robot Jones? it's really cool, you should watch it." or recoil with genuine horror when his closest friend (who was born in 2009) tells him he's never heard of Freakazoid, or spend 15 minutes explaining to his family what the "Kimba, I mean Simba" joke in The Simpsons means.
