There is one bug that Freezes the game and I don't know how, On the Z alt of Delfino Plaza, If you press the Snapshot Button, the game freezes. I don't know if this is a normal thing or not, maybe I had bad luck. I haven't touched this since then so maybe it was a one time thing

A few months back, I played a LOT of Project M, not only because the gameplay was significantly better than Brawl, but also because it was simply a fan-made game that answered what fans wanted in their games. And who knows what fans want better than fans? I lost my disc awhile back, as well as my SD card, which saddened me deeply, and hearing the the Project M team stopped production of it didn't help one bit. After experiencing Project M, I didn't even WANT to get a new Brawl disc. However, seeing this, combined with it having the exact gameplay as Project M, makes me want to waste, no, USE 40$ to get myself a new Brawl disc and an SD card SPECIFICALLY for this mod. Thank you for this game, no. That's not strong enough. Thank you for this BLESSING!
Now, if you wanted this to top any game I've ever played (and trust me, it nearly does), what you could do is put in a few more returning stages from previous Smash games, and alternative costumes for the original 12 in their 64-bit models. I for one am really into that stuff, so this would pretty much make my life living heaven. It'd also be good if more trophies were added and the return of Melee's Adventure Mode (if that's even possible).
Unless you can't get it on an American Wii U. If so,
you're likely going to become my new go to build ever since XP shut down. You have some really cool stuff in yours... also really like the splatoon stage.
So glad you're a fan of this project! Welp you'll be glad to know that tentatively TODAY is when I'll be releasing my 1.1 update. Stay tuned! Talk about great timing. Can it be set up on Wii U?
That's correct. I don't have Dolphin
Great! XP was an amazing build as well. I believe they just released 1.5.Haven't heard of that build yet, might check it out.
For now, we plan on keeping the 3.6 balances. Tbh, you really don't NEED anymore balancing than there is in 3.6.
Also, consider having the scraped characters from Project M; they were Lyn, Knuckles, Issac, Sami, and I think Daisy. Oh, and Pichu, the most OP fighter in Melee XD
It was one of my favorite pm mods because it added a ton of stages legal and not legal to bad they shut it down. I was actually wondering if I could give you the build and you can add some of the stages that xp had. I have to move on to another build and I really like this one.

They recently closed there download page but I still have the homebrew build. Also glad to hear that you could do it in a future update you could also use there codes.

So unless God decides to resurrect my Wii from the dead, I'm screwed? Or are there buttons on the Wii Remote (with or without Nunchuck) that work as alternatives?
Not sure if you guys are still accepting music suggestions but there's a song I'd really like to see make it's way into the mod. Megalo Strike Back by Toby Fox.
It would go quite well on Fourside and some other songs on the same album might be good for onett too.
This has to be one of my favorite packs for Project M, nice work! Would it be possible to get Legacy to work along side http://smashboards.com/threads/project-ganondorf.417563/? I've attempted, but it crashes with certain costumes after the stage select which is very unfortunate.

As for what other suggestions I have, use Masked Dedede's theme from Kirby: Triple Deluxe on one of your Kirby stages (preferably a Dedede-themed stage if there is one). You have to admit, that would be PERFECT for a fighting game.
What is Smash Bros. Legacy M? Primary Goal: bring the finest Nintendo-related mods and music to one finely-crafted build without compromising a competitive Project M 3.6 experience. This means all gameplay mechanics and tournament-legal stages are untouched, while additional content has been added. We think you'll love it.
So what's in it? So far, we've gathered a whopping 100+ new stages (including secret stages), 100+ new character skins, and have put together over 100+ music tracks. Alternate costumes are chosen conservatively - we only included skins that we really loved, and weren't completely untrue to the character. Every character on the roster at least has one special costume.
Is this build competitively sound? Yes. Both the physics engine and tournament-legal stages are untouched. To be "tournament-friendly," it is recommended you do not choose a special costume (vanilla skins only).
Any "outside" material? The 3rd party content we included we chose carefully and still consider their inclusion to fit the mood of Super Smash Bros. The stages from Bayonetta and Kingdom Hearts remain in this build, as well as a classic Banjo-Kazooie stage.
Will this build freeze on the My Music menu like some of the other mods? Only if you select an expansion stage slot. But don't worry - we've made it very clear in the UI and on the menu which stage not to choose. No need to fret!
Is this build done? With it being a 1.1 version and all, how could it be? I plan on releasing more updates to this build down the road. A few goals: continue to improve the UI by adding high quality and standardized character portraits. Every single skin has a CSS portrait, a battle portrait, a stock icon, and a result portrait. Remove anything that significantly detracts from keeping this build competitively viable. Essentially, the ongoing aim with every update will be to deliver consistency and stability (tweaking UI, bug fixes, other improvements).
Are you open to suggestions? Most certainly. I'm all ears!
Standardize portraits and stock icons (same pose, or at least as few different poses as possible)
Recreate stage selection HUD to be even clearer
Create addons to this build in "DLC" packs (new music packs, themed costume packs, etc.)
Find creative ways to add secrets like Easter eggs (makes it more fun!)
Some game series icons don't match the corresponding stagesFIXED in Build 1.0.
Some of the stage titles don't match up with the stage on Random Stage Selection ScreenFIXED in Build 1.0.
Some music tracks are a either too quiet or too loud.FIXEDin Build 1.0.
A few BPs aren't matched correctly to their corresponding skins.FIXEDin Build 1.0.
Game will freeze if you choose "DON'T PRESS A" stages in the My Music menu.
Player 1's spawn point is off on the alt stage of Inferno.
Player 3's spawn point is off onalt stage of Dive to the Heart.
Phantom Ganon, Shadow Mewtwo, and Mega Mewtwo do not have correct stock icons.
"Extra Stages" button doesn't work in random stage select screen.
Stock icons are wrong for the result screen.
Some music titles are blank.
Kirby only has 8 costumes instead of 10.
Snapshots, replays, etc. break the game.
Materials needed:
2GB non-SDHC SD card
Nintendo Wii (or Wii U) and one Wii Remote
A copy of Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Instructions (hackless):
Run Brawl and be sure that you have deleted any and all custom stages.
Format your SD card and be sure it's formatted to FAT32.
Simply extract the folders from the zip file provided in the download, and place them in the root of your SD card (in other words copy and paste the files from your PC to the card).
After inserting your SD card into your Wii, launch Brawl, and go to Stage Builder. If done correctly, the screen should freak out for a second, and then you should get to a screen that looks like this:
From here select play, wait for a bit, and Smash Bros. Legacy Project M should launch from there.
[Update:] Some users are reported that it says the SD card doesn't have enough room. If this is the case, try reformatting in FAT32 and trying again. If that still doesn't work, refer to project/pf/sound/strm/_COMPLETE SONG LIST.txt and delete some brstm files.
If the game's audio sounds strange, try reformatting your SD card.
If the game freezes, make sure your SD card is unlocked, and double-check to make sure it is a 2GB non-SDHC card.
Also, make sure before you attempt to launch PM that every single custom stage is deleted from Brawl and your SD card.

Did you happen to fix the USB Loader problem with Alternate Stage loading in this build!? A Changelog would be cool to have to see if I should redownload this.

There is no problem, the ASL code has always been set up so alternate stages can only be loaded from an SD card, and there is as of right now no way around this. It's the same in Project M 3.6.

I wasn't able to switch out the codes folder without Brawl being loaded instead of Project M, and nothing I did would fix it. As a result of that, only the L-stages work, and only the ones present in the original build. Previously reported here:
I'm having a problem with the pack. I'm not sure what the deal is, but I'll explain what I think as best I can.
btw, I'm using the HB version.
(1) I downloaded the pack, deleted my old PM 3.6 files, and copy-pasta'd the new files onto my SD card (a Lexar 4GB SDHC card)
(2) Since my disk drive is broken, I USB Loaded Brawl w/ CFG Loader and disabled IOS reloading and enabled Gecko (Ocarina) cheats.
(3) Started the game, which loaded as (vanilla? not not really) SSBB.

The only difference in my situation is that I use USBLoader GX.

Do you have problems with Saffron City and PS2's ASL? Because I do, in my own build they're switched because of the code when the stages traded places after 3.6B.
Next I'm planning on updating a few of the screenshots, put some sort of music preview, etc.
For funsies, thinking about making a few videos on how to install Smash Bros. Legacy M, as well as a few tips on what to set Dolphin for to make trailers (like how to remove the HUD and stuff). If there's enough interest, that is.
