Wherever good books are sold.
A series of stage reskinnings - mainly to represent more stage aesthetics and such. Minor stage hazard alterations are allowed, but the stage should generally maintain its current layout. Unlisted stages go unchanged.
  • Big Battlefield -> World of Light and Dark (based on WoL's final boss stage)
  • Small Battlefield -> Bonus Battlefield (based on Classic Mode's bonus stage)
  • N64 Peach's Castle -> Waluigi Pinball (Mario Kart DS)
  • Melee Rainbow Cruise -> Mario's Rainbow Castle (Mario Party)
  • Melee Mushroom Kingdom 2 -> Subcon (Only the name changes)
  • Brawl Mario Bros. (No name change. An HD take based on its incarnation in the Super Mario Advance games
  • 3DS 3D Land -> Cookie Cogworks (based on 3D Land/World's cookie-themed levels)
  • 3DS Golden Plains -> Golden Caves (underground level with NSMB's aesthetic)
  • Wii U Mushroom Kingdom U -> Koopa Kingdom (based on Peach's Castle as it appears in NSMBU under Bowser's control. First and third areas on the outside of the castle, second and fourth on the inside with a general Bowser's Castle aesthetic)
  • Wii U Mario Circuit -> Rainbow Road (based on MK8)
  • 3DS/Wii U Super Mario Maker (No name change, but game style is locked to SMB3. In exchange, the level's theme now changes between all those present in SMM2)
  • 64 Kongo Jungle -> Krow's Nest (DKC2)

I wanted to make something inspired by the createaroster subreddit’s Nintendo All-Star roster. I’ll do this more in the vein of a reboot than a direct sequel to Ultimate. While it’s technically 50 fighters, it’ll appear as 47 slots.

:ultmario::ultluigi::ultbowser::ultbowserjr::ultpeach::ultyoshi::ultrosalina::ultdaisy::ultwario::ultlittlemac:
:ultdk::ultdiddy::ultlink:(Toy Link):ultzelda::ultganondorf::ultsamus::ultmarth::ultlucina::ultbyleth:
:ultkirby:(Bandana Waddle Dee):ultkingdedede::ultmetaknight::ultpit::ultfox::ultness::ultvillager::ultisabelle:(Tom Nook)(Isaac)
:ultpikachu::ultpokemontrainer:(:134::135::136:):ultcharizard::ultmewtwo::ultlucario::ultolimar::ultshulk::ultmythra:(Noah)
:ultinkling:(Octoling)(Off the Hook):ultminmin(Ring Fit Trainee):ultgnw::ultmiifighters:
I started off with the most relevant Nintendo franchises in the 2020s: Super Mario, Donkey Kong, Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Fire Emblem, Kirby, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Xenoblade, and Splatoon, and I’ll provide some supplemental additions before going into
less relevant series. Fire Emblem and Xenoblade are a little more complex given the nature of their series, but I think Marth, Lucina, and Byleth are a good compromise for the Fire Emblem series at the moment as Marth is more or less the honorary mascot, Lucina is incredibly popular and from the series renaissance, and Byleth is from the series peak and is from a contemporary game. From Xenoblade’s end, I went with Shulk, Aegis, and Noah for the moment as Shulk is feels like the most recurring choice among the protagonists, Aegis is popular, and it probably would be a situation similar to Fighter Pass 2, and Noah keeps things contemporary. My initial pokemon picks are really just what I’d expect that the Pokemon Company would want.
Once I got my initial picks, I decided to add a few choices from more contemporary titles, with ARMS and Ring Fit Adventure being the highlights. Min Min was chosen for being one of the more popular characters and the ARMS creator’s favorite.
Next, I added a few fighters from less prominent franchises, with Fox McCloud, Ness, and Isaac being the highlights for me. I also tacked on the Mii as they’re in Mario Kart 8 DX, and an avatar fighter seems like a logical addition in this scenario, but they would only have one moveset instead of three.
Before adding more new franchises, I’ll add a few more supplemental characters from franchises with fighters, where Rosalina, Diddy Kong, Meta Knight, Tom Nook, and Off the Hook were my priorities.
I decided to add a couple more throwbacks in the form of Mr. Game & Watch, Little Mac, and Pit.
Princess Daisy is an easy add on, and Bowser Jr. and Bandana Waddle Dee seem like easy choices for me to come up with.
A Pokemon Trainer feels too important to leave out, and this trainer would use the eeveelutions.
Toy Link is admittedly a throwaway choice, but the multiple reincarnations of Link is an interesting thing to have.

AND IF INSTEAD OF GRANBLUE, ARCSYS MADE A FIGHTING GAME WITH FATE/GRAND ORDER?
A Fate fighting game but the rule here is that completely replaces GBVS from existence, that including the date it is released so all changes should fit such timeframe.

EMIYA
ARTORIA
MASH
ARJUNA
ANASTASIA
TEACH
QUETZALCOATL
JEKYLL/HYDE
KARNA
HERACLES
GOETIA
First for all, considering this is going to be a global release, at the start of 2020, Lostbelt's barely started to get track (and even so, the development of this game would have been at least 2 years before it), so the roster is mostly biased towards the first arc of the game with the singularities, with the story mode being basically a supersingularity itself as some sort of "FGO Gaiden". Anastasia is the only Lostbelt character due her popularity, function and as a way to "give publicity" to the newest storylines.

The roster tries to represent all classes, however its more focused in having all the required archetypes.
  • Mash: The protagonist of the game, she practically plays the same way she would do irl in Type Lumina turning into a rushdown.
  • Artoria: Artoria would be the shoto, as the actual cover face. The easy to play character, the Gran.
  • EMIYA: EMIYA is quite a complex character, he is quite a tricky character who uses stacks to power himself. He is probably the most out of left field selection considering his importance in FGO isn't that high and isn't the face of the app icon like Artoria, he instead is here pretty much just for appeal to those that still only know Fate for UBW.
  • Arjuna: A textbook zoner, he is particularly technically the defacto Archer of FGO since he was in the original opening and promo art as such.
  • Karna: More of a physical poke-type character, its also the one who brings a rivalry in the game with Arjuna.
  • Teach: Basically, the game's Lowain, the buttjoke of the group. He is a trapper using his mischiefs for attacking as well to calling his subbordinates to some attacks.
  • Quetzacoatl: The selected grappler of the game, she is quite a complex grappler since she has "grab rekkas", meaning that for you to exploit all her potential you must perform multiple grabs in chain, tought considering we are running in GBVS logic, the inputs are a lot more lenient.
  • Anastasia: A puppet fighter, Anastasia uses Viy to fight while herself makes use of her mystic eyes to stun the opponent and give her a chance against her opponent.
  • Jekyll/Hyde: A stance character, Jekyll is like a shoto while Hyde is an unhinged rushdown. Much like Arjuna he is technically the main Assassin of the game since he was in the first opening.
  • Heracles: The big guy, would be pretty similar to Vaseraga with the armored movement and massive smashing damage.
  • Goetia: The unlockable boss character, using his appearence in his second form, he is a zoner type but he also packs quite a punch when needing.

Now for our DLCs of the first game:
DLC SEASON 1
JEANNE
MORIARTY
USHIWAKAMARU
ABIGAIL
DLC SEASON 2
SCATHACH
ISHTAR
CIRCE
KING HASSAN
NAPOLEON
KINTOKI
STANDALONE DLC
ODA NOBUNAGA
JEANNE ALTER
Much like with GBVS again, this list mostly aims to try to bring fan favorites, thought due the nature of FGO this is very hard considering the barebones base roster, so it all boiled to the essentials, trying to bring characters that felt "left behind" or that can bring something interesing or necessary.
  • Jeanne: If the original GBVS roster had one more slot, it would have been for her for sure, the Extra class was surely missing in the base game and she is the focus character for the first singularity of the game but I just didn't had any opportunity to add her without leaving behind another importan character. She is basically what if Sin wasn't a child and instead of thunder it used holy light.
  • Moriarty: The original roster had Anastasia but it didn't had any sort of representation of the Pseudo Singularities, it also lacked more evil alignment characters and Moriarty is THE evil grandpa so he is a very interesing pick, he is like Goldlewis but without an alien in his coffin gun.
  • Ushiwakamaru: If the original GBVS roster had a SECOND more slot, it would be for Ushi. She is not only the main Rider in the same way Jekyll and Arjuna used to be the representatives of their respective classes at the start of the game, but she has a massive amount of popularity. She would be basically her same as in MBTL irl so a big rushdown.
  • Abigail: Another Pseudo Singularity representative as well to a Extra Class representative. Abigail is very popular and her attacks would be extremely unique to see in action. She would be like a mix of Hilda from UNIB and Nrvsqr Chaos from Melty Blood and that's truly a fearsome combo.
  • Scathach: A massive popular character and the Lancer of the opening I don't think I need to repeat what I was meaning for. A rushdown with some quite big normals or in other words Mai Natsume on stereoids.
  • Ishtar: Another huge character that will sell like hotcakes. She is like what if Strive Ramlethal was a zoner, setting Maana (the giant bow thing flying with her) to attack, huge zoner.
  • Circe: A more unexpected pick since Circe is a lot more niche, but at the same time she does have enough following of her own to be even considered for Samurai Remnant in the future. Also she makes a fun character attacking with cartoonish pigs.
  • King Hassan: As you can notice, this DLC is all about bringing the big guns. King Hassan is very iconic and has a design completely different to any other character; he would be a powerhouse that will show you the true meaning ofdeath.
  • Napoleon: Talking about literal big guns, Napoleon is quite a fan favorite but he is also the main Archer of the new Lostbelt storyline that will be further pushed in the future, Napoleon is a mix of a zoner and a powerhouse, a mighty glacier that will open your walls with a cannon blast.
  • Kintoki: And when referring about powerhouses, one of the biggest male characters in general, Kintoki is a very specific choice since not so long ago the most recent storyline in the gacha game Heian-Kyo starred him as a protagonic force, so his appearence here is both due his popularity and as a way to handwave the current lostbelt. Kintoki is fast but also very strong and he can revv his chainsaw axe to deal even more damage.
  • Oda Nobunaga: A very overlooked element in this roster has been the event-only characters, and while there are reasons why we can't add much of them, GUDAGUDA might be the biggest event in all the game so it required to be represented and who else than the antagonist of two of the stories and face of the entire event alongside her still missing companion? Nobunaga will be an interesing case however, since her appearence is the one of her Archer self and she is listed as an Archer, but she drags a lot of elements of her Avenger counterpart; other characters also have elements of their secondary class variants btw she is not the only one, but the interesing thing is that due GUDAGUDA's more comedic and self aware approach, this element would be lampshaded. Long story short, she is a zoner that for some reason plays more like a rushdown.
  • Jeanne Alter: Like Belial we needed that easy model reutilization but that somehow its popular enough to people not mind about it and Jeanne Alter was for a long time the most popular character ever. While she looks like emo Jeanne she doesn't play anything like her, starting with the fact that even if she also carries a flag, she is also dual wielding her sword to scorch everyone in her path. She is like a glass cannon.

With all say and done now it's time for erm... Fate/Grand Versus Rising? This time I'll directly show all characters instead of dividing them between base roster and DLC so there is a single explanation.

BASE ROSTER
OKITA SOUJI
MELTRYLLIS
NERO CLAUDIUS
EDMOND DANTES
DLC SEASON 1
ASHIYA DOUMAN
ARCUEID BRUNESTUD
DA VINCI
SAKAMOTO RYOUMA
MUSASHI MIYAMOTO
SUSANOO
DLC SEASON 2
ERESHKIGAL
GILGAMESH
MORGAN
SETANTA
OBERON

Rising is all about adding the fan favorites...thought still with its weirdness and dealing with the fact that the game has still being pushing a lot of characters and a huge amount of them have turn into fan favorites, not counting those fan favorites from before. So I tried my best to bring a somewhat credible lineup based on the decisions made with GBVR so far.
  • Okita Souji: Easy decision, the original game ended with Nobunaga so now the next fighter is her rival/friend whatever Okita. Okita is the glassest cannon to ever glassed since she has a decease that she migh trigger if she spams her flash steps combos too much, but she is still extremely strong and if you are able to play around her illness she will obliterate her opponent's HP to dust.
  • Meltryllis: Not having any of the Sakura Five was a sin and even something that I doubt it would happen IRL; something you might have actually noticed is that Granblue Fantasy and FGO are very different games and that would have affected in the roster selection, not that FGO would have been bigger (that, tbh, it might had be) but that particularly the post base game content will be distributed in a different way, but since I'm sticking to what they did in GBVS you will deal with it for now. Anyway Meltryllis is a graceful rushdown character who fights excuslively with her razor edge legs, she fights with rekkas that moves like a dance.
  • Nero Claudius: An extremely overlooked character in the original roster and another character I doubt IRL would have waited that long. Nero is basically Wagner, she can turn her blade into fire and with that deal chip damage, after that she is very straightforward.
  • Edmond Dantes: This even more edgy Nagito Komaeda is a fan favorite, he was in Melty Blood so it's not that difficult to explain how we will play.
  • Ashiya Douman: The new villain, it might be a bit of a bummer that this game doesn't had an unplayable character as a now playable character like the first one, but Douman has a huge fanbase due his excentric behaviour, people loves this unhinged snake and he is technically a main villain in the Lostbelt storyline so it makes sense to have him around.
  • Arcueid Brunestud: Remember 2B? Well Fate is too much of a hermetic franchise to have a guest so unhinged as that one, so instead our play will be Arcueid. Thought the twist here is that is Arcueid, not Archetype: Earth like in FGO, it's the actual character from A Piece of Glass Moon. She plays the same as Melty Blood I'm not sure what were you expecting.
  • Da Vinci: If FGO required to have a mascot that wasn't Artoria or Mash...it would probably be Fou but as a fourth option it might be Da Vinci, specially now that she now has a child look (something very hard to explain and quite eyebrowing to say without context), the point is that Da Vinci is a very important character in the game, and her Rider self has a lot of gadgets that can create an unique fighter, maybe something on the line of Kokonoe in BlazBlue.
  • Sakamoto Ryouma: Our third GUDAGUDA character, Ryouma is quite popular and he is a duo fighter with his wife Oryou who is a snake god that fights like his stand and I love them both to dead. His design is his iconic Rider appearence but they shows abilities from their Lancer selfs including their Noble Phantasm.
  • Musashi Miyamoto: A HUGE, HUGEEE character in terms of popularity, it even reaches spotlight stealing squad sometimes, she fights with dual swords and is a quite technical fighter due that.
  • Susanoo: Okay remember what I said with Douman? Well there is also another thing that GBVR did and it was make an OC, now our OC will be Susanoo who would be the "Lostbelt King" of the storyline. Susanoo would be a Berserker class servant who fights with a giant katana named Kusanagi, his deal is deleting you faster than you can hit him since for someone of his size he is impressively quite weak in terms of defense.
  • Ereshkigal: Probably the character with the most dedicated fanbase to have ever existed, and due that the perfect equivalent to Sandalphon. She fights like Hades=Izanami in a quite impressively acurrate degree.
  • Gilgamesh: Another big guy with no reason to be ignored for so long, a fan favorite and with huge popularity outside FGO thanks to UBW and mostly Fate Zero.
  • Morgan: Another heavy hitter, in particular it should be noted that the Lostbelt 5 has turned into the most popular Lostbelt and due that is quite likely they woudl push a lot of characters from there to be playable here. Here she fights with her giant staff axe and dark magic.
  • Setanta: The complete oddball of the group, Cú is notoriously missing in the game but with Scathach using Gae Bolg and she can doa lot of things he would do it was quite hard to think in giving him a spot where his technically best version is already here, so instead let's bring his child self who doesn't even use Gae Bolg so it's the most interesing version of himself outside Cú Caster. There is also quite a notorious lack of the "cute boy" archetype even if there is already a girl child around.
  • Oberon: Oberon would use his Vortigern look so he is an edgy mfer, he is also the most popular male character and the character with the highest grossing banner ever (I'm not sure if such record has been beated yet, it might be considering the huge hitters of last year but it can also not be the case) so he is a huge cashgrab. Imagine Arakune but with a more readable movement.

Alright so that's it....however before posting this just a quick list of some servants that might be chosed either at the expense of someone else or if there it would be more DLC, I was thinking to just speculate for my own but I was bored so yeah, take the list.
  1. Siegfried a base roster candidate.
  2. Atalanta another base roster candidate but it lost to Arjuna.
  3. Tamamo crazy popular and could be a rival of Nero, if Susanoo was the boss of Rising she would must be there.
  4. Muramasa crazy popular.
  5. Artoria Caster even more crazy popular and an interesing choice for a character who is best known as a support type.
  6. Medusa crazy popular.
  7. Elizabeth Bathory not as huge as others but its like a personal pet for the devs cuz there is no other explanation why she has so many alternative versions. The pretender kid might be the most interesing of the bunch.
  8. Robin Hood a personal pick I just think he is neat.
  9. Martha an iconic FGO original, it nearly made the cut but Quetzacoatl had a similar vibe in terms of moveset while also being more popular
  10. Lancelot iconic Fate Zero character.
  11. Mordred very popular character and also an Apocrypha rep.
  12. Tesla I just think he could be neat.
  13. Brynhildr a personal favorite of mine, not much else to say.
  14. Shiki Ryougi the first collab character (iirc), also crazy popular.
  15. Medb popular character thought quite more niche, also the dom playstyle.
  16. Li Shuwen IMO a crazy oversight of mine just because I recognize there are more popular characters but he is badass, imagine Soriz mixed with Zeku swapping between his older and younger self.
  17. Iskandar iconic Fate Zero character.
  18. Ozymandias an iconic FGO original who is voiced by Dio Brando.
  19. Artoria Lancer it would make sense to be added but she is also another Artoria and it might feel too much.
  20. Artoria Alter same as above.
  21. Cleopatra a personal choice that can make a good puppet fighter.
  22. BB another crazy character to be left behind she is just that iconic and her nature would make a extremely fun moveset.
  23. Housaki a popular FGO character who would give some extremely pretty VFXs.
  24. Avicebron I just think he is neat.
  25. Sigurd a personal favorite of mine too.
  26. MHXX I just like her.
  27. Sitonai, maybe Pryllia is more likely to be but I think Sitonai is more interesing cuz she fights with a bear.
  28. Shuten Douji huge character.
  29. Raikou another huge character in more that two ways.
  30. Shi Huang Di I think it would be cool from a gameplay perspective.
  31. Kama very popular girl.
  32. Arjuna Alter almost made the cut but Douman is a more natural choice.
  33. Quirinus he is cool.
  34. Super Orion he is cool.
  35. Voyager I just love him.
  36. Erice I just love her.
  37. Sieg I also love him.
  38. Himiko I love her too.
  39. Hajime an impressively popular 4* male character and the amount of Vergil memes would be over the top.
  40. Nemo important character lorewise and would be fun to see all the Nemos fighting together.
  41. Basically all the fairy knights but mostly Melusine. I think Morgan could summon them tho.
  42. Koyanskaya huge popularity and very important lorewise.
  43. Bazett has a lot of potential as a counter character.
  44. Charlemagne a personal favorite of mine but a popular character overall for sure he would made in to S3.
  45. Rasputin it just has meme potential.
  46. Tenochtitlan is very popular.
  47. Kukulcan is also quite popular.
  48. Draco is quite popular.
  49. Aoko Aozaki another crossover character that I personally love.
  50. Hakuno another potential crossover character.
  51. Yamato same as above.
  52. Olga Marie if I decided to go to the non playable now playable route I would go for her, I decided to not do it cuz I'm sure the actual game would prefer to reveal her lore instead of an spin off.

Disney platform fighter - ranked stage list - aesthetics only
Not the entire stagelist, just the stages that would be designed with ranked play in mind. Even balance between brightly-lit stages (bottom row on image) and darkly-lit (top row on image) (though you could argue ballroom and Muppets to be swappable by section depending on how they're artistically executed), tried to limit to stages that made sense as flat plateaus.
Screenshot 2025-02-25 184035.png

Monster Mayhem
A fighting game based on classic literary monsters, particularly those who have films in the universal monsters canon. Sort of a spiritual successor to Darkstalkers but with the actual monsters. Is an idea I've had for some time but got re-inspired by the public domain hero shooter from this thread. Probably stretches the definition of a crossover but eh.

  1. Dracula - Lord of the vampires. Seeks to plunge the world into eternal night.
  2. Alexandra Van Helsing - A young woman who is the latest in line to the vampire hunting lineage. Mixes modern technology with classic vampire slaying weapons.
  3. Carmilla - Dracula's daughter. Is trying to control her vampiric urges and fight against her father. Has a crush on Alex.
  4. Adam Frankenstein - Doctor Frankenstein's creation. Has spent decades traveling the world, and has now dedicated himself to fighting monsters.
  5. Eve Frankenstein - The 'Bride' of Frankenstein's Monster. Has been ordered by Igor to hunt down and "terminate" Adam.
  6. Lawrence Talbot, the Wolfman - A native American man who was transformed into a werewolf after his reservation was attacked by a werewolf. He now uses his abilities to protect small communities.
  7. Rilou - A creature originating from the underwater city of R'lyeh. Appears from the mysterious Black Lagoon to spread it's masters influence.
  8. Kharis - A high priest of Egypt who was killed by his enemies and who cut a deal with the god Set to become an immortal mummy. Joins up with Dracula to try and reclaim his kingdom.
  9. Detective Henry Jekyll - A gruff detective who is trailing a mysterious killer known as the Gemini killer. Is secretly the killer himself, as at night he turns into the violent criminal known as Mister Hyde, unknown even to himself.
  10. Jack Griffin, the Invisible Man - A master thief who stole a formula that allows him to turn invisible. Joins with Dracula out of greed.
  11. Erica, the Phantom - A mysterious vigilante who prowls the streets of Paris, she uses a mask to hide her scarred face.
  12. The Raven - A mysterious bird-like woman who seems to appear to the dead, forwarning them of their fate. Joins the battle against Dracula as his plans will upset the balance between life and death.
  13. Irena - A Russian actress who has a family curse that transforms her into a panther woman when threatened or excited.
  14. Igor - The latest in the family line of assistants to Doctor Frankenstein. Joins with Dracula in order to make new Monsters.

DLC
  1. Zxino - a classic grey alien with a 50s Raygun. Is using the chaos of the war to try and prepare earth for invasion. Summons a War of the Worlds tripod in its supers.
  2. Agent Cold - A secret Agent in a black suit who works for a secretive organization. Is on the trail of Zxino. Based on the urban legends of Men in Black.
  3. Mr. Twisty - A clown who is secretly an eldetich demon. Inspired by Pennywise, Joker, etc. Has a crazy moveset.
  4. Hecate - A witch. Switches between a more Hollywood beautiful woman witch and her true form of a Blair witch like creature.
  5. Paula - An Ape woman. Based on the obscure universal character of the same name. Is a creation of Doctor Moreau, and escaped his island.
  6. Orlock - Nosferatu. Dracula's teacher, an uglier more monster looking vampire who uses hypnosis.

Feel like doing more ranked stagelists - this time: NASB2. These would be unique aesthetic designs. Light stages outrank dark stages by 1 given this is a kids' cartoon game.

  1. Teeth Trouble (The Ren & Stimpy Show)
  2. Pro Bending Arena (The Legend of Korra)
  3. Neon Night Riders (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

  5. Goo Lagoon (SpongeBob SquarePants)
  6. The Aggro Crag (GUTS)

Over there! (Note: Not a 100% guarantee)
ROSTAH.PNG

my friend challenged me to make the equivalent of smash bros. releasing today --
the roster works under a few stipulations - no pokemon are present although i imagine they'd be included by the first wave of DLC; not necessarily an image problem, moreso just finagling the rights. i suppose that'd make KIRBY the premier star of this game, strangely enough
all characters furthest from the centre are unlockables , yk the vibe
marina would be accompanied by the pearl drone w/ bitcrushed pearl voiceclips eppered throughout , an area-control chaarcter where the ink actually improves your mobility. the pearl drone wouldn't be a puppet fighter, more so contextualization for certain moves
zelda, employing concepts courtesy of KneeOfJustice99 KneeOfJustice99 where she uses rods n light magic, making her more of a swordfighter archetype than link himself!
poppi from xeno2 , without pikachu , is the premier small zippy bruiser - although perhaps she could have different augemntation and upgrades throughout the match for more modularity. SHOCK!
anna is an archer , i think having that intrinsic sense of inventory built directly into her design is valuable
cj + flick! a tag-team character representing the competitive aspects of animal crossing - could summon each other for poking moves a la angry beavers
sturm. this would be primarily original stuff, commanding troops that are themselves extensions of his mechanical forme. could also sling meteors around, which could DAGE his own troops. big bulky heavyweight with photon cannons, nebula phasars, all that star trek JARGON i couldn't care to understand
credit to the-chibster for the cj + flick art ,, perhaps i'll make the six character dlc lineup later --

{EDIT - 02/26/2025}
ROSTAHDLC.PNG

SPOKE TOO SOON, can you hear the people cheering {?}
luigi is primarily oriented towards luigi's mansion, although he still recycles mario's moves a fair margin
olivia from awakening may seem like a bizarre pick, but a close-range dancer class - think menat from sf6 - could be magnificent in this setting
sukapon is a similarly fascinating character and i think his heritage lends itself pretty well to this setting!
shulk. ah, ykyk
pokemon trainer red is pretty close to his conceptualization in ultimate, though i cannot decide if pikachu should be part of his team or represented elsewhere such as taunts! (or just his own damn character) but in this continuity i think red being included at all would assuage people
pokemon rival blue's team ideally would draw from ALL AROUND the pokemon series, gen I-IX, prioritizing different body types and forms of locomotion (wings, crawlies, weird floating anomalies, etc.} BECAUSE his moveset would primairly utilize TMs! strong single-use cycles of moves that leave ur team a lil more vulnerable. i think the rival embodies that grindset attitude, but it would work equally as well on a rocket grunt or smth similar

ROSTAHDLC2.PNG

im weak
captain toadette would have a float + cargo grab. imagine. also cudgeling with her braids.
duck hunt would be 6% more trolly. same functions mechanically, but like. faking out a shot on the can for instance. little brat.
kilton is the premier joke character, using monster parts from all around the zelda series, claws and scales and inflatable organs inbound. each of his specials would have him adopt a different monster mask and perform a facsimile of their attack patterns. SHOCK.
dark matter, despite the portrait used, would be an amorphously parasitic character. beam sword only rlly materializes from their eye. grody.
captain olimar NEEDS to be better. like. INFINITELY better - i'd give him the ability to control a swarm of pikmin as crowd/area control. AND GIVE HIM HIS VOICE PLEASE. smash bros. is the world's worst ventriloquy act.
DEMON KING GANON, largest character in the game yet surpisingly agile. mostly hand-to-hand, trident abilities are reserved for specials and has a passive gloom/darkness mechanic that routes platform play. i think its fitting the last(?) character in this hypothetical debut of the platform fighter controls which platform are active - to an extent. idk no bowser but ganon as good a demon king as anybody (!)

I've made this out of boredom. I called this this the Ultmate Smash Clone (aka Multiversus All-Star Time Punch Explosion Battle Royle Brawl XL ULTIMATE) if WB, Nick, and Sony decided to work together and had the Smash Ultmate Budget to include every fighter from their Smash Clone games into one single big platform fighter just like SSBU.

Thanks to the higher budget and the right team for this along with a clear vision, they can expand upon the content from their games and actually take advantage of them to its fullest potential. Like netcode for online matches, you unlock characters rather then mircotransactions, and an actual subspace-like story mode. Of course, there is also DLC or hidden fighters that people actually wanted to see in these games too. Might make a list for that later.
