-Why do you play Sonic?

I prefer to have a plethora of options at my disposal to abuse at any time, no matter how efficient they are. When I started playing Brawl, I mained Falco and Olimar, but I felt like they were so limited in the sense that they could just use 2 or 3 moves to win, at least with my friends I used to play with. Over time, I grew to hate it. When challenged by my friends to pick up Sonic and get as good with him as Falco and Oli, I found myself enjoying how he moved, his versatility, and how picking an option was just as challenging as winning the match. When I win a match, it makes me feel like I really deserved that win, instead of thanking the A button or the Cstick for being used 200 times. I've kept that mentality ever since, and have my favorite video game character to thank for that.

-What was your first reaction when Sonic was first announced in Brawl?

"Oh, that's really cool." Really, that was it, and then I started jamming to the Live and Learn piece that was in that video. XD It wasn't until later that I really soaked it in.

-If you were part of the Brawl team, what modifications would you do to Brawl?

Give Ganondorf his sword and fast moves, make Bowser's Dsmash unDIable and make his Fair stronger and make his Bthrow a kill move, give Falco his Arwing, give Meta Knight that Tornado projectile attack from Kirby Super Star as his B move and give 150 frames of startup to it, as well as give MK's Dsmash the same startup animation as his Fsmash and his Shuttle Loop the same startup animation as his Drill Rush, have an option in the game to alter the game's physics to the Melee engine or the 64 engine as one so wishes, get rid of Peach's float just because I can, make Wolf not broken, make Snake's utilt slightly weaker, bring Jigglypuff's Rest back to its former glory, bring back Pichu and Mewtwo, give Sonic (oh look, a Sonic modification) his axe kick as his Dair and his breakdance attack as his Fsmash, and make his Bthrow a "Soniccide," make Tails playable, make Knuckles playable, make Eggman playable for the LOL, and make Shadow playable.

2D Mario, Kirby, and Pokemon fill the bulk of my VG collection alongside Sonic games. So platformers, platformer/puzzle, and RPG, I suppose.

Behold my profiles from the other 2 forums I go to. When I decided to make an account here, I wanted to keep the name for consistency and for familiarity, if one were to recognize me from one of the other forums. Unfortunately, some ******* already took Sonic Boom, so I had to settle with a name that looked similar. But I'm thinking of getting a premium and changing my name to Joshua soon enough.

Which reminds me, could all of you start calling me Josh or Joshua like Wedge and Quest do? It just feels strange to me, being called "Sonic Storm," "Mr. Storm," or "SS" now. Thanks!

Any tournies coming up, especially majors?

Oh Snap in 3 days! I'm getting ready to take on some of the Texas players and Kansas players, and I'm ready to show them that OK has what it takes!

No Koast is also an option, but I'm making plans to go to Phase X over that, and then there's WHOBO in March. Though that last one might be hard to make, since I have Vegas that week. Have a tourney in Vegas with Kinzer and STL, take the plane back to OKC on the 17th, and buckle down for Houston within that 24 hours. Maybe I'll manage.

How are things going?

Things are going well! I'm back at OU and have everything unpacked, so all I'm waiting for is for classes to start Tuesday. I have three things on my mind that are top priority at the moment: get through my classes and see if I can get through them easily enough, get back to working at my job and get some money in so I can go to tournaments and get Pokemon Black and White when they come out, and mostly work up the courage to ask this girl I know out to dinner or a movie next week. Never had a relationship before, so it's pretty nerve-wracking to try and take step one.

Do you have any Sonic gear? (plushes or anything)

I have a Sonic doll.....somewhere. Haven't seen it in 5 years, but I know I still have it! I also had a "Fast, Faster, Fastest" Sonic shirt in my junior year, and I have a Sonic shirt now.

How do you feel about Sonic as a whole character and how his games are going/have been?

Sonic fills nicely as the "Good is not Nice" archetype to me. He means well and has good pure intentions, but is a smartass through and through. He's also fine with playing the villain, as Sonic and the Black Knight shows; he's aware of the greater "evils" in life, and that too much of a good thing can be bad. As for his games....I'm an optimist. I see the brighter things and tend to focus on them, and Sonic games are no exception. Hell, Shadow the Hedgehog is among my top 5 games because I really like the "choose-a-path" storyline it had. I do recognize that the games have faults - every game does - but I feel they are being exaggerated by everyone to the point that Sonic has become a source for everyone to poke and laugh at.

Favorite Color? Brawl Sonic color?

Blue (lol). Specifically, Cerulean Blue. I like silver and white as well. Black too, but as long as it's combined with another dark color, like Blue.

Blue Sonic is my favorite, but my go-to texture for Sonic in tournaments is Red Suit Sonic, the texture Sonic gets in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle when all of his missions are A-ranked.

But yesterday, I found these three pictures for a hack on Kittycorp. Holy ****. I may use that instead.

I have, years ago. The last time I played it was at a hotel around 4 years ago. It was kind of fun, I'm thinking of getting it off Nintendo's VC.

Yep. Swimming. I wasn't an all-star, but I made it to District Meets, one Regional Meet, and the State Meet in Oklahoma in breastroke and the IM. It's been a long time since I've swam though, but I'm thinking of joining the USA Swim Program and get back into meets. I still have my goal of "break a minute in the 100 Yard Breastroke" that I have yet to meet (my best time was a low 1:03)

Sports titles and first person shooters. Also fighting games where I haven't got a ****ing clue who the characters are, like Blazblue and "Soul Calibur 4567 squared to the 1/3 power."

It was stupid and decided to climb into the open space above my tire during the night. It didn't get away in time when I started the car and went in reverse.

Not really a farm, per se, but I have a lot of acres of land to accomodate the cattle and the horse. I live 3 minutes away from town.

Sleep: 1:30 am. 3:30 if I was playing Smash with friends.

Wake: depends on the day. Weekdays I get up around 9. Weekends, you're not getting me out of my bed until 2 in the afternoon.

I updated two answers with stuff that's been on my mind for a while, that I just forgot to include. "Sonicciding" would be incredibly awesome to make up for Sonic's lack of kill power, and I've been wanting to remix music since late '08, but just haven't had the money to purchase software to get started. all I have is Audacity, but I'm looking at the options, and they don't seem to be too stellar.
