I joked the boards nearly 7 years ago, back in the waning months of my junior year at high school. This was after Ultimate was teased in the March 2018 Mini-Direct, so I was pretty hyped for it.

The username “Perkilator” is derived from a nickname that my science teacher gave me back in middle school. And it’s a nickname that’s stuck with me since then, hence it’s my username on most websites.

No joke, KingofPhantoms (as well as the 47 that it used to have) was a username I originally came up with for Minecraft.

This was one of the first Social Media sites and forums I joined, and I liked the username enough to carry it over to here. My opinions on Steve joining Smash changed a lot over the years (admittedly mostly because I found a good chunk of the playerbase toxic or immature back then), but in the end I was ecstatic when Steve, Alex and tons of Minecraft content got into Smash Ultimate lmao.

I've been on SmashBoards since mid-to-late-2018, and I haven't even joined this thread until about a year or two ago, because admittedly, I was too shy to share my ideas and opinions here. As time went on, I've become somewhat more confident in talking about Smash and other games with you guys, and honestly, sometimes it's even more fun than Smash itself.

Been here for 10 years and I'm pretty sure I've kept this name for all of them. It's just been my usual online name for accounts, custom characters and whatnot.
I can confirm with @Swamp Sensei I tried to rationalize Pico over F-Zero 99 while drunk once. :V
To be fair, it probably is easier for Pico to get in compared to F-Zero 99.

It is all friendship here.
Smash-Invitation (1).jpg

Until the invitation drops from the next smash reveal and ends in either:
1. Your favorite character gets in or was given a runner up prize midway. (Better to know results early rather than at the end.)
2. Sad that your character didn't make it at the end of the game's DLC cycle.

All in all, Smash Bros is meant to be a fun game for all ages to play.

Can you only change user names if you’re a premium member? I’ve never really tried. It would be weird to change it at this point anyways since I’ve had this user name for 16 years.
Yes, it has always been a Premium exclusive feature (in the 10+ years I've been here, at least).

Though the admins aren't monsters so if you notice you misspelled your username when making your account, talking to one usually gets things done.

I’m not really expecting many of my favorites to have much a chance anyways. I’d say only a couple have a solid chance and even they’re 50/50 at best. Even if I don’t get anyone on my top 10 list, hopefully I can at least get a couple characters I can be excited about.

I honestly kinda feel like my first speculation being Smash 4 set me up pretty well to handle disappointment about characters I like being long shots or just generally not happening for one reason or another lol

You just don't forget your most wanted character getting deconfirmed on Christmas morning lmao

That's the magic of Smash reveals. Bringing in characters known to an audience small or big and show their glory to the entire world.
Either something great
Or average that comes with controversy and complaints.

Not that I'm complaining, but that's one of the many reasons why the world is excited when a smash reveal is coming.

I'm a latecomer but the name was admittedly for the amusement of being able to state that Smash theories and Smash arguments have, in fact, happened in before a LiveStudioAudience.
That's amazing lmao

Have you ever committed by sharing laugh tracks?

Snake Man's stage from Metal Blade Solid
Territorial Rotbart. Basically, a really high-level Red/Orange-furred Monkey-like monster that appears and wonders around in a map early in the games. I don't know about Xenoblade 3, but it appears in both Xenoblade 1 and 2 and in Xenoblade X, there is a similarly named monster named Hayreddin the Territorial that appears in Primodia, the first area you start in and surrounds the main hub, New Los Angeles.
Not only is there a Rotbart in Future Redeemed, they're named Bombastic Rotbart Jr. so they're presumably Territorial Rotbart's kid.

If you're gonna pick an iconic monster from Xenoblade, Rotbart is about the only way to go unless you're using like random Bunnits or Tirkins or something.
This, but there's also a Rotbart stand-in in the base game called Jingoistic Gigantus.

Oh we're doing username origins?

Well, mine has some insane lore behind it. You'll never believe the epic journey I went through in order to acquire this honorable alias.

... I just ****ing typed out the pronunciation of my initials and then slapped a random number on it. Yeah I wasn't exactly imaginative back then lmao.

And by since, you mean "after" Shining Force 3? Cause in Japan, Shining Force 3 actually did finish it's story, although it did have a post-credits scene that never got followed up on.
The story that started in Holy Ark was never finished. Galm and Elise are just as mysterious as they were as their first appearance in Holy Ark.
There was likley more stories meant to be told in SF3 arc that discontinued after infightings with Sega. SF1 has a ton lore and story material (spin-offs, mainline, mangas, light novels, etc), SF3 didnt even come close to it. SoA horrible localization of Shining Force proabably didnt help in that regard.

I’m not sure Xenoblade really has any iconic monsters anyone who hasn’t played the games would recognize. The games are great but they don’t really have anything on the level of a Slime or Cactuar.
Well they ain't gonna become iconic monsters to anyone who hasn’t played the games if they don't show up outside the games.

Now, speaking of ATs... which characters do you think would be cool for the next game?
King Hippo [Punch-Out] (if not getting in as Fighter)
Eggplant Wizard [Kid Icarus]
Protoman [Mega Man]
Majima [Like a Dragon]
Pyramid Head [Silent Hill]
Cactuar or Tomberry [Final Fantasy]
Slimes/King Slime [Dragon Quest]
Rygar [Rygar]
Abobo [Double Dragon]
Vic Viper [Gradius]
Mike Jones [Star Tropics]
Sophia 3rd [Blaster Master]
Purple Tentacle[Maniac Mansion]

Have Sena as an Assist Trophy so we can have moments of a petite girl hitting people with a giant hammer in Smash.

My username is incredibly basic. Peridot was my favorite Steven Universe character, GX cards were the big thing in the Pokemon TCG at the time, it's as simple as that. I have no intention of changing it though. It's my iconic brand.
