Kurri ★ Kurri ★ i haven't pestered you about your workouts in a little while. how's it going?

and in general, how's it going?
It's going.

Right now mom and I are just looking for a nutritionist to help build a diet, which is cool I guess. My biggest issue is that we're paying money for diets we can probably find online, but if it keeps my mom off my back when I tell her cheese is okay, I'm for it.

People moved to discord and FB chat for most stuff. Smashboards is now simply a grand collection of nerds, showing off post counts and bad theorycraft.
Truth actually A lot of boards for games are doing this. Almost all the character boards for smash 4 have a Skype or discord or both. I'm mainly on here for information gathering and discussion on stuff.

Bring back the Attitude MLG Era.
Which one the melee one or the brawl one?

Melee MLG era was pretty god, aside from 144p potato phone recording being the standard and 0 streams unless it was MLG

Genie, I thought hearing me rant at G3, you would understand my disapproval of anything Melee. I was wrong.

Topic attempt #1! D:

So how well did JoJo Part 4 start out, guys? I should've watched through Part 3 by now, but I'm actually going through 1 and 2 again because my mom got curious about JoJo, watched the first episode on her own and then immediately woke me out of my sleep just to tell me how much of a prick Dio is and that she wanted to watch more.

Since I'm her main anime buddy due to Bobby (my dad) hardly wanting to watch anything that doesn't involve either (awesome) giant robots, lots and lots of cute girls in middle/high school doing nothing or singing through whatever ongoing crisis instead of focusing on said crisis/robots, or a bunch of guys stripping themselves dramatically while crying and bonding together in nearest body of water they can find, we started watching JoJo Part 1 & 2 together. Oddly, it kinda takes me back to when I was a little kid and she first showed me Fist of the North Star and Berserk. Fun times~ o o

On that note, anything at least somewhat interesting happening this season aside from JoJo that might be worth looking at? I saw My Hero Academia recently and I'm not sold on it, but I almost wanna stick around to see what the hell is up with this strange frog girl that everyone seems to be getting hard over. - -

Zero complaints here. David Productions continues to impress me with their adaptation of the JoJo manga. I'll admit that I wasn't sold on the weird, often minimalist style that the studio was employing for this arc at first, but after seeing the first two episodes in motion, I'm a huge fan. It's sleek, colorful, and has this bent of surrealism about it (which makes perfect aesthetic sense, given the kinda vibes and motifs Araki was aiming for in this part's story). The characters are highly stylized, almost like they were lifted from linework and artbooks, but they're recognizeable right away and retain the overall 'look'. The presentation is top notch, too. To give you an idea, there's this hilarious gif rolling around where Jotaro puts down a phone and everything seamlessly melds into him getting into a taxi. It's flawless, comicbook-to-movie like; they even USE the actual panel outlines to highlight key segments from the manga!

And finally, they obviously haven't cut out a damn thing concerning the story so far. It's faithful to a tee, and probably will be til the end.

So yeah, watch it when you can.

he likes free but not jojo's?
Less of "not like" and more of "won't try".

Bobby is the kinda guy who'll stay pretty close-minded about a legitimately good show and just won't watch it until he peeks around the corner while you're watching it, suddenly get interested, and then all of a sudden you have to start all over from the beginning just to catch him up and continue. And then when you finish the darn show, you find out he's constantly re-watching to whole thing over and over and over again every night at random starting points talking about how amazing it was and that he's glad he found it and watched it.

I love him and all, but watching stuff with him can be very tiring. ¦D;

It's fun when he feels like joking around, though.

If that's true then you can start having dank fun and getting super good. Come to stuff so we can do dank teams. The next one is May 7th if you're home.

I can link the tutorial if anyone wants to also do it. The tutorial isn't exactly a build tutorial, it's one for someone just starting and explains HUD and settings and stuff.

Also the Overwatch shorts are pretty sick. Their movie (I assume it's going to happen in a couple years or something) is going to be sick.

**** my luck. Driving to my first tourney in like 6 weeks and my ****ing tire blows due to some piece of suspension falling down and tearing a hole. Something something balljoint something something car repairs. Instead of profiting from the $100 dollar first place prize instead I'll be down probably 300+$ from wasted gas, towing, and however much the repairs plus replacement tire together are. But I can afford that. Worst part is my brother was super psyched to go to a tourney for the first time in 2 months because he's been improving drastically in our practice but now we don't know when the next event he'll be free for will be.

tbh mlg era melee was pretty much the best time for the smash community to actually be and play in, and i think not having streams made the tournaments better because they werent so obviously bent around the viewer base and esports

tbh, wait
they said they would issue out an update that would remove s.m2's infinite and adjust the reshiram support, but that doesn't mean they wouldn't adjust the other broken things about him too.
Edit: Nevermind, my bad. Apparently not. >>

CORY CORY Yes Season 2 is in the works, also Mob Psycho 100 (another work by same original artist) is getting picked up for an Anime and that will be awesome.

OPM has the original webcomic that One self-publishes on a site, and the redrawn version. Most people are familiar with the redrawn version, but along with the Anime it's a bit behind the original drawings. If you want all of the plot so far or if you're curious about his own style, you'll have to check out OPM (One) instead of OPM (Murata)

The difference in quality may seem stark, but you have to remember the guy does it on his own time without a professional studio or set of digital tools. Especially for big fights, I find it impressive.

how far behind is the murata manga vs the one webcomic? and, i guess, is one still updating the webcomic?

Ya One publishes the webcomic on his own site iirc. People translate that pretty quickly. Murata gets input and talks to One for the Redrawn version. He has slowed down on the Webcomic, since he is also working on Mob Psycho, and he has a decent buffer of chapters until redrawn or Anime catches up to him currently.

Original is at like 107 chapters or something, Murata version is at around 60. It's not a totally clean comparison though, cause there's some filler in redrawn and chapter length doesn't always match up 1:1 with original. At the current rate, it's probably less than 60% caught up but kinda off in some filler/sideline stuff atm. All of it has been good though, it's not like the garbage Naruto anime filler where you skip 30 episodes at a time. The sideline stuff going on in Murata's version is either humorous, or not entirely off plot and just developing other chars more than original did.

Lucha Underground is about to go up a layer of hype with 3 debuts for season 3. Seriously, japanese women's wrestling looks really really strong.

True i remember that. Should just play more brawl get some HNK going.
I'm trying man. Still waiting for my local scene's next event to push Brawl on.

now that we finished opm, it's the waifu's turn to pick a show to watch. she picks madoka.

it's been out for, like, 25 years, so we know the basic gist of it, but just two episodes in and it's already getting pretty heavy.
