So like, Pokémon that evolve with objects, like a bowtie or spoons, are they part of the Pokémon or a separate entity? Like, if I took Akakazam's spoons and snapped em in half, would it feel pain on a physical level or would it be whatevs? There's quite a number of Pokémon like that.
I've wondered about that too, because some of the changes have like some kind of canonical explanation, like Slowpoke into Slowbro when he gets that shell thing, I think. But yeah, does Abra just like inevitably find/steal a spoon every time it evolves?

If you want to take the anime as a note. a lot of Pokemon seem to evolve and have those items with them, but if they break, they tend to look for a new one.

From what I've seen they're picky as **** too.

A Pangoro lost his shoot in one of the episodes and went into a depression for the whole episode.
Serena's Braixen's twig broke and wouldn't take any replacement. Took the whole episode to convince it to use a new one and probably because the old one was stated to be "broken beyond repair"

What a coincidence, I wasted at least an hour going through realistic pokemon earlier today. Super cool stuff.

"At the summit of Mt. Coronet there is no Pokemon more imposing than Abomasnow. Though they have enormous claws and impressive stature, they are actually herbivores primarily using their claws to dig up vegetation from under ice sheets. Before the advent of the last century, climbing to the peak of Mt. Coronet was accomplished a mere handful of times. As such reports of a great "abominable snow man" were seen as stories created by exhausted hikers to embellish their travels. Once an Abomasnow was captured and documented it was noted that they often have large build ups of algae in their fur-like feathers. It is thought they they grow the algae during long periods of hibernation through the coldest months of the year. Perhaps most exciting was the discovery that the closest living relative to Abomasnow is Druddigon proving that Abomasnow came from dragon type ancestry.

Snover are a fairly common sight throughout the frigid regions of Sinnoh should one know what to look for. They exhibit distinct plumage on their heads that mimic the look of snow covered shrubs. With this adaptation they nestle into the snow and disguise themselves from travelers and larger Pokemon species. They grow very slowly, taking as much as forty years to reach adult size, this is in part due to their diet of low nutrient, frosty vegetation. Captive Snover are treated to high nutrient foods and reach full size at a far faster rate.

Though Sawsbuck are all together a rather uninteresting Pokemon species, they are known for one unique behavior. Both genders exhibit antlers year round, but during the summer and fall they collect branches from various trees in their antlers. It is highly uncommon to spot an adult Sawsbuck without some form of plant life twisted in their antlers during this time. In the winter however Sawsbuck are primarily seen with bare antlers as they live predominantly in deciduous forests.

Delibird are the much smaller cousins of Empoleon. Unlike Empoleon, Delibird have a wild mass of feathers on their tails creating a sack-like appearance. Within these tails they store the shiny stones and polished pebbles they seek. Male Delibird try to collect as many of these treasures as they can to present them to females. Dominant males often exhibit much larger tails as they can store more presents and get all the ladies.

Froslass live exclusively in the coldest of frozen environments. A result of this means they are incredible rarely seen. With their ghostly translucent wings and massive false eyes on their thorax they have been mistaken by weary travelers for ominous spirits. Scientists are often amused by how many Pokemon common folk believe to be ghosts.

Chingling are the smallest psychic type pokemon that have been discovered. It is really quite remarkable that something so small possesses the brain capacity to perform such mental feats. Charmingly they are capable of producing small jingling noises when threatened.

Mr. Mime developed the ability to create psychic barriers, which they use for both defense from would be predators and as a means of travel as they can create barriers and proceed to climb them. This allows Mr. Mimes to be seen in a wide range of locations. Mr. Mime has long been the butt of many, many jokes within the Pokemon Academic community. Though they enjoy incredible mental acuity, they do not possess the same grasp on speech. When called by name they try to replicate the noise with hilarious failure.

Some find Mr. Mime charming and cute, Mime Jr. on the other hand is a disgusting abomination. The juvenile Mr. Mimes have yet to develop their barrier ability and as such have the most repulsive false head on their tail that they use as a threat display. Its effective in nauseating Pokemon and trainers alike. In fact only the professors with the strongest will and sturdiest stomach can endure their presence for long. Gross."

Hey dude, Sylveon is officially the 5th most popular Pokemon overall in Japan. How do you feel about that? :3

I saw that, but it's also for a distribution event.

The fact that legendaries are up there are probably less for their popularity and more for the fact that people want them. The results are a bit skewered because of that. Those people could of used those votes for their favorite pokemon and might of changed the results quite a bit.

WE TAKE THOSE THOUGH.

This? I don't recall this being for a distribution event. I was under the impression it was simply a poll for the 720 technically currently "released" Pokemon since Volcanion doesn't count. You sure? o^o

And I dunno, the legendaries have always been super popular in Japan over the years, honestly. Still doesn't keep Arceus and Mew from being beaten by Greninja here, though. I really don't think we're ever getting a water starter as cool as that again. XD

so is technical just a cool-sounding synonym for "good"
tech skill is just doing whatever it is that you want to do, in an attempt to isolate it from other skills like decision-making or game knowledge. hungrybox has godly movement and move placement that other players simply can't imitate.

You know, I thought I couldn't possibly love Dirty & Beauty from Kirby: Triple Deluxe more than I already did.

to my wit, the object/location triggers the evolution but then thats it. alakazam is just a pokemon that happens to routinely have two spoons, with nothing special about the spoons themselves.

After work last night I came back to see my computer had a license agreement up for some reason. I click accept and am greeted with "Welcome to Cortana". Thankfully, I was able to back out of it and decline the agreement. System restore started at this point.

It basically already installed windows 10 without my knowledge and was just asking me to accept it so it could move on. I can't believe a "system update" from Microsoft would do something like this. They're getting really aggressive on getting people to upgrade to windows 10.

its definitely a buzzword thrown around, you can't be good at all without being technically sound. but you can be a technically sound player and also suck. it's a square/rectangle thing

Bayonetta nerfs for smash 4 confirmed.
...Greaaaat. The one character that actually got me back into playing Sm4sh gets nerfed to **** because a bunch of whiny children don't want to adapt to anything new brought on the table for Smash Bros and just want anything they can't deal with banned, nerfed or restricted.

The fact that I'm a Mii Brawler main is bad enough since I'd never be able to play with my preferred specials in a tourney if I wanted to and I can never play on For Glory (Though that ain't much of a loss since I prefer playing in private with friends, in person or alone.) I don't like Falcon or Marth as much as I used to and I absolutely ****ing hate Sonic in Sm4sh when he was my main in Brawl/PM. I used to dabble in Fox, but I didn't like him anymore either and Wolf isn't around to give me the alternative I'd prefer. I've basically got Mario, ZSS and maybe Pikachu as far as old characters go and Mario si the only one of those I feel all that comfy playing, though he doesn't fit my preferred playstyle too well in Sm4sh like he does in PM.

Oddly enough, Ryu, Cloud, Corrin and Bayonetta all each brought a playstyle I was looking for to the game, but Ryu and Cloud are honestly the ones who need to be nerfed and toned down a tad bit yet they're completely pardoned. Corrin...Is honestly fine now. Just give back her old run speed if possible, but it's not the end of the world. But Bayo getting hit this much? Over what? A bunch speculation from a vocal minority of paranoid people and what they think "might" happen with no actual results or evidence to show for it because it's been only 3 goddamn months? The devs are advocating this now to the point of making a single update with nothing but tons of nerfs to one not even broken character? This is why I think Competitive Smash 4 is such a joke. Aside from the fact that no one can agree on how to do anything and nothing gets done or resolved as a result.

-sigh- ...Well, at least Greninja didn't get nerfed again this time. ¦D

Spat of disappointment over. Hopefully it turns out that these nerfs don't hit as hard as it seems once the patch is out and she'll still be playable and enjoyable.

I'm gonna watch some Blazblue Central Fiction matches while I wait for the next episode of Pokemon to come out. ¬^¬

It's my birthday :b:
I'd share cake with you all if I could

Except PlateProp PlateProp , Squirtle mains don't deserve cake
Oh snap! On a much more positive note, HAPPY BIRTHDAY~! =D
