Spear Waddle Dees existed before Yin Yarn.Also, I must say, I find it funny it took Dedede 16 years to train one Spear-using Waddle Dee, but it took Yin-Yarn like five minutes to train a full army of them.
The difference is that Bandana Dee is an expert

I'd like it if you guys don't raven on people if they want another Kirby character or if they want to have just 3 slots. Do not spear their heads off. Or I will spear yours. Respect other's opinions. Now, if they don't respect yours, that's a different story.

I haven't payed attention to the newer Kirby games, so I might be mistaken:
Dedede helps out in Kirby 64, but he joins later in the game if I recall, so he might have villainous motives at the start. I'll go check.
The only game where Meta Knight was a villain was Revenge of Meta Knight in Super Star. But...why?
It's cool and all, but still. What's he trying to get revenge on?
Kirby for beating him in Kirby's Adventure/Nightmare in Dreamland? I always assumed he was just testing Kirby in that game to help him finish his quest in a way.
Dedede wavers between villain, anti-villain, anti-hero and full-fledged hero at times.
I think the only game where he was a full-fledged villain was the first Kirby's Dream Land.

Anyone else like Mario more than Luigi? I don't know, I always liked Mario more. Maybe since he isn't a coward like Luigi. Then again I like both of them more than anyone else in the franchise. Mario reminds me of a classic cartoon character and Luigi can be funny at times too. Wario's a close third, and Bowser's fourth.
Well that Tail Dash would definitely be a special attack if it was used. Either the Stomp or the Pogo Tail can work as pretty much any attack. Be it an aerial attack, special attack, or even a Smash attack.

The saddest thing is that even if Dedede gets Waddle Dee, I can't really say that would deconfirm Bandanna Dee as it's perfectly normal for King Dedede to control Waddle Dees and for Bandanna Dee to fight generic waddle dees
No, I'm asking why someone would want a move set that is only spear over a move set that has variety.

I use the spear for most normals, some tilts, two aerials, One Special, and two Smash Attacks.
The other attacks utilize Magic Wand, Paint, Parasol, Bows, mostly weapons from the entire Dedede army.
Oh, and Megaton Punch, baby.

I can see wanting to use a bunch of different things together in a moveset more. Much like Saturn is pulling for. But given all the crap that the Spear power can use in Kirby, that alone can make for an interesting character to play as.

For Dedede, in 64 he hesitates to team up with Kirby, and he only does it to save his castle from Dark Matter. I think Masked Dedede was his last attempt to beat Kirby, since he said something like, "This is where it will end. The score will be settled here."
And apparently it was. Dedede was a hero in the next two game after that (Return to Dreamland and Triple Deluxe)
As for Meta Knight, he seemed to be testing Kirby in Adventure/NiD. I think he was also trying to take down Nightmare, but got mad that Kirby stopped him and tried to get revenge in SS. It is also possible Meta Knight was trying to do something andKirby stopped him thinking it was something bad in SS.
I think Meta Knight is somewhat of a teacher or something of Kirby. Or he looks to Kirby as an equal or something.
I even have this weird feeling deep inside me telling me that MK is Kirby's father or brother somehow.

He's probably a dark horse candidate at best. But he has a cool playstyle nonetheless. I can see a few other characters that might qualify as such too.
