You can just say Inferno. It works. Some people call me Obama once in a while because of my control settings name being that. Some people just call me by my real name which is no secret. But no one ever types the whole thing out repeatedly like that. I don't really have anymore random Brawl facts, considering I think that isn't what this topic is for, and the Sonic boards are cluttered with enough excess spam concerning meat as it is.

Okay Inferno anyways for some reason people say that the Sonic boards are like the back allie of the Smash Boards maybe that's why of the spam meat like you said but everyone here is trying to turn a new leaf like everyone says... so I not sure why but people spam here alot but some people that don't even main Sonic comes here I don't know why but maybe someone else can explain to you.

I'm well aware of the problems with the Sonic boards. I could likely write an essay on the reasons for why they are in the state of disrepair they are now. A short summarization would be to point out the exclusionary nature of forming such a tight knit community based around inside jokes, hard to interpret ATs, and overlying general confrontational attitude. It really drives people away and divides the boards off from the rest of the community. You can see the inherent problem there. Most of us who like to better our sonic game just quietly read the necessary things rather than get sucked in. lol

that was kind of what we were trying to do... scare away all the 'ducks' as MC puts it, that way the only people left on the sonic boards are those that actually care about making sonic good in brawl. I think its worked brilliantly. Lucario boards are the perfect oppostie example. they went from being extremely noob friendly to the point it was overrun by people who dont even care about competitive brawl, drove away all the good players and now its an unpopular board. Sonic has probably the highest # of posts per day (im not sure about marth, but its close) and majority of it is actually related to making sonic competitive in brawl. Which is even more funny when you compare the viability of the two extremes in marth and sonic lol

We are the ones who know about Sonic. Yet people like to come in here and tout their OMFG awesome discoveries and stupid questions that are answered CLEARLY in the stickies. They say that WE'RE wrong about our character. That's messed up. We'll happily answer any questions not answered in the stickies.

Actually, a few do. It doesn't matter if the good outnumbers the bad when the public visibility is the bad. This reflects upon the whole. Furthermore, negatives are more reasily noticed than positive, so any large number, even if outnumbered, has more weight. This is a fact directly mirrored in actual society.

Really I heard that about the Link, and Lucario boards but I didn't know that was true but why does marth have almost the same amount of posts of the Sonic boards? because according to the Smash community Marth is high tier while Sonic is low tier.

Sup, Spin-Dash here. I've alternated between Sonic and a couple of others, but my mains have always been Sonic and King Dedede. The more I play, the more I find the need to play as Sonic.

That being said, I think I'm the only guy who uses Sonic in Alberta. LOL That and Brawl's competitive scene here is near zilch. :\ Which blows monkey nards. Wish I could say I'm one of the better Sonic mains in Canada, but I'll be travelling more for tournaments to uphold such an idea. In truths, I believe I have a very good handle over how to play Sonic. I've used him in tourneys and the first Brawl tourney I went to, I took 9th place using Sonic alone. Not too shabby, since Alberta's got some pretty nice heat despite the lack of Brawl in more recent days.

I travelled to Hawaii and despite switching to Dedede for the grand majority of it against people like PC Chris, DarkMusician, and etc., the friendlies or matches I played against one of the top players in the state (whom uses Wolf and Snake, but is also a very **** good Sonic, likely the best one in Hawaii), Merc, were nice. In Sonic dittos, first night I was there he pwned me. Second time we had a ditto I rocked some stuff. Also took 11th place on the Brawl Power ranking in Alberta when it was still up and running.

I need more tourneys, but I'd like to keep myself heavy into the competitive scene and keep up my speed with Sonic if I can.

lol shoulda gone for a U-throw kill (minimum 190% on Mario, maximum ~220% with DI - I think it might be 240% max for Dedede). IMO it's more satisfying to land one of those with Sonic.

I'm not sure who'd be the better Sonic between me and Umby. From the wifi matches we played forever ago, I can usually outread him, but according to him, he's more of a reflexive player, so if he's reflexive, he should be considerably better offline.

But then, there's a possibility that the results from my outreading would be more noticeable/frequent...
