OMFG do I get to get ***** by a Melee player at Brawl? I'm so excited! All of my wildest dreams can come true; your true skill will certainly outshine my spamming and inability to use real combos, thus putting me in my place like the Brawl scrub that I am and shaming me for all of eternity!

Wait... In before you die at 80% because you don't know how to DI in Brawl :p Bring et!!!! :)

lmfao, exactly my point.

Melee-only Brawl-haters don't understand that Brawl's DI is different and have no idea what to do with it. I THOT BRAWL WUZ JUST THA SAME AS MELEE BUT WID NO SKILLZ, WTFZORSZ!?!?!??!!?!?

I'll teach you if you want... after I kill you a few dozen times :p

ahhh I see! no momentum canceling! Sounds really complicated

I don't know how I'm ever gonna figure it out... I rely on momentum canceling oh so very much in my melee DI hahahahaha

Wow will get ****ing ***** in that conversation, you obviously don't understand how deep and complicated melee is.
I would smoke everyone here in melee and in brawl. And I think that... wait.. what were you guys arguing about?

edit: Oh yeah, brawl is easier than melee. That's why I play it. I was average at melee, then I switched to brawl a year after the game came out, and I started winning local tournaments almost immediately. I could teach deku to be a high level tournament player in about 10 hours of game play.

But brawl is still a lot more complicated than deku thinks. I still haven't been able to switch over to the new DI. Dodges are easy to punish when you get used to them. They are pretty ineffective for getting out of combos at high level of play. And I gimp people all the time. It's a lot harder than gimping fox and falco in melee, but it's still not bad.

uhhhhh zoze you can't beat me in melee lol

but other than that good show!

also 10 hours sounds a tad extreme. I'm thinkin more like 2-3 hours of FFA with my buddies back home, then I should be set.

I bet I could beat you in melee ;]

And it would take weeks (maybe months) to teach high level Brawl from scratch.

I KNOW RIGHT? lmfao

Exactly, thanks Lain :)

Yeah, high level Brawl is a lot more abstract than Melee. Whether you think that's "better" or "worse", whatever, but it's definitely more abstract and loads more complicated than it's made out to be by the Brawl haters.

Of course, Brawl is easier to pick up at the beginner level, but I don't think either game is any easier at the top level.

Melee is more about muscle memory and memorization, while advanced Brawl is a lot less cut and dry... but every Melee-purist just thinks that it's "just Melee without wave dashing or combos" so it's impossible for them to understand how in depth it really is since they've never actually attempted to understand it.

Sigh... I don't really know why I waste my time trying to teach those who are unwilling to learn... I think I have a disorder. Oh well. :p

i agree with the latter statement

but you'd get 4 stocked by deku every time in melee
he 3 stocks me half the time, and I **** 80% of the midwest easy.

also zoze, you wouldn't be able to beat half the people in this thread at melee. and by half i mean the half of us that play melee.
