St.Louis Area Discussion Thread

Showed up to Toga's twice, your place twice (or three times can't remember) and Geno's once

In the 9 month school year period that averages out to once every 1.8 months.

But I haven't heard of one hosted yet this Summer.

Maybe that was unnecessarily harsh but your whining about people not playing is frankly getting old. You're just asking to join in - I've offered to HOST plenty of times without getting a single response, and that was when people were still in town. Now that it's summer and most Smashers are GONE, it becomes exponentially harder to get people together.

If anyone wanted to AND could play we'd just post that here. Crying when nobody responds to your requests is not going to get people to play with you. The sooner you realize that the happier we'll all be.

You want to play so bad? Stop whining and be proactive. Look outside of Smashboards. Start contacting people who aren't active (Legan/Toga), or people who post once and never post again (tAKs/cookiemonsta, etc.) on your own. Don't be shy, I'm sure you're Facebook friends with all of them anyways. I can give you some of their phone numbers if you'd like.

Make clear your exact logistical situation: Can you host? Do you have a car? Can you bring a setup? If you need to be picked up, where do you live? Which days and what times of the week can you reliably be available?

Put that info out so others can see if their schedules match up. Don't just post "why doesn't anybody play anymore" and sulk. Right now nobody knows any of this because of your "parent Johns". And honestly, I'd stop bringing that up as though it vindicates your no-shows in the past. If you are unable/unwilling to disrupt your non-Smash life and find time to play during the school year, why should we now do the same for you?

1) They try to convince you to follow their example and act holier than thou if you refuse to convert

2) They don't tell you in advance and throw a ***** fit tantrum if you prepare a meat dish for them.

btw at the last tourney tink and vro both went sheik against me and i ***** them, are you proud of me? :D?

What's good St. Louis... I'm going to be in Columbia for about a week, and I really want to get some smash in, so get the **** at me... I'll probably be busy the 15th-16th because I'm helping my sister move, but other than that I'll just be bumming around the whole week. So someone needs to get off their *** and make some smash happen XD

sorry man i'm returning to stl the 28th of august =[

I have 3 weeks at home to play all the good people i've always wanted to play. I'm especially determined to play lucien because he's norcal's best right now.. and will beat out all my bad habits and help me improve :p

and cool serves them right for trying to use gay tactics loll.
although i'm assuming friendlies because both placed higher than you?

Come to Metal's tomorrow. It's kinda far from Columbia, but Cook and Nicole do it weekly. There is a good chance you can ride with them.

Nice, I actually have a car I can use so a ride won't be a problem. Though I'm guessing it's over an hour to StL so I wouldn't mind saving some gas money if they wanted to take me.

But yeah either way it sounds good, I'll most likely be there

I have to work tomorrow night, but Nicole and maybe Watkins are probably going to Will's, so you could ride with them.

Otherwise, Thursday or Friday evening would probably be good times for us to play. Well, I dunno if Watkins has to work, but yeah.

Not really. I only pick on Daniel when he posts stuff I find disagreeable (granted that is like every 3rd post he makes). You rag on Muba for no apparent reason whatsoever
