Haha, don't be silly! Most Noels won't go for guard breaks because drive strings like that are risky. But CS1 Noel is high risk/low reward anyway, so what the heck? I just do it now because it's funny, and it makes people freak out.

Noel vs. Tager matchup will always suck because no matter what Noel is always within throwing range, and Tager can sledge through half her moveset. It is what it is.

So wait, isn't doing a drive into 6C isn't a valid blockstring? I think I've seen R-1 even do 2 of them in the same blockstring on Kaqn.
I just don't know if Kaqn couldn't react or if it really is a blockstring since I'm not familiar with CS2 Noel.

I dunno, a lot of people say that on Youtube. I think he's good at blocking. He just takes a risky approach since you can't really sit there and play defense against Noel or you're dead.

I dunno, I'd think a Jin or possibly a good Lambda might have some success to a degree. But I don't play Lambda much and I'm more offensive with Jin so I guess I can't comment.

Yeah, I seen where Noel was mentioned, but then the topic went to a whole different match. Didn't know if we were still talking about Noel or what.

And wtf I hate Tsubaki. Her midscreen combos are a bit too convenient now.

You can definitely reversal out of it, but if you mess it up, then you're just going to eat the rest of the combo.

I agree. Plus, he plays Ragna, so he has to play a more risky game than most characters anyway.

Maybe so but isn't Tsubaki well...still Tsubaki?
Nah, Tsubaki is way better. Her pressure is ridiculous now, and against most characters, she can get access to charge all the time. Her damage is still meh, but if she can get charge then it doesn't really matter.

Good thing it's almost fullscreen, it's like his only unsafe move. :I

I cleaned up the first post a bit. I was thinking of making some sort of FAQ, what do you guys think?

What sort of info would be in it? I'd be interested in a FAQ.

I'll be practicing a bunch while I wait to get AH3. Late tonight I might be willing to play some online if anyone wants to give it a whirl.

Edit: Also, I <3 jC and j2A

EDIT EDIT: I definitely meant j2A. :v

My bad, his 2C is also sort of unsafe. His j.2A is da bess. <3

I'm not really sure yet. Picking a main, maybe some terminology, I dunno. I just wanted some feedback on what might be useful for that sort of thing.

If you don't keep on tsubaki at all times she can get fill her gauge completely in no time, and you don't want that.
Meaning you have to play a very risky approach game against her 5b and 2c(c).
Tsubaki is just dumb.

Her 5B isn't that good. You can't follow up at max range with it, and I'm pretty sure you can trade or win the hit if your hitbox is better. You can totally hit her arm when she extends it. I agree that her 2C is godlike, but if you rush her down, there's nothing she can do.

I know it's not that great, but it's still her best ground to ground spacing move, and you can follow it up with a special right? If you use a D special you can follow those up with an actual combo too.

Depends on the special, I think, but probably.

You know, this is mainly directed at Lythium, but any other Noel player can comment but...any suggestions for getting the CS2 Haida loop down?
Practice. It's really hard. Like, really hard. The hardest thing you will ever do with Noel. Try it on a fat character like Tager, in the corner. Once you have the execution down, add dashes. Then try it on smaller characters. And it is character specific.

To be honest, I can occasionally do it in training mode, and I don't think I've ever pulled it off in a match. I can do 22C shenanigans, and sometimes 22BC stuff, but weird stuff like 22BC > 22B, nope.

But yeah, practice. :urg:

That happens to me sometimes too, kinda. Like i'll be on a win streak and I lose one and I get frustrated and start mulling over what I could've done differently and before you know it i'm losing over, and over again. It's best just to take a break, and hopefully come back to it later with a clear head.

Yeah, I saw the video that was up on Dustloop and talked to one of the people there and the amount of rotations are really dependent. Also, I noticed that it's a bit of a visual tricking thing since you'd expect to do it when the shot down goes (like with 22C) when actually you're doing it so that the blast after the shot down hits the ground hits them. That being said, I've discovered a number of 3000-4500 combos. I totally forgot about Muzzle Flittering in combos and how both 4D and j4D can actually be decent starters.

So I'm going to be going to Brazil for about a month and was wondering if it'd be worth getting CSII on the 3DS to kill time/practice/whatever when I'm not doing anything else, assuming I don't get my 3DS stolen within the first week. If anybody's played it, an opinion would be appreciated please. :o

The Ragnas? No way. We just can't 5B our way to victory and derp our combos anymore. It takes skill to do damage now. :D
I'm kinda liking how Ragna is now too. It felt weird at first since I didn't know what his combos were.
He's pretty hard to use online though, imo.

All right you guys, give me your opinion on this one: Who in the game is best at guard breaking?

...herp derp I need to read. Ignore me, Scamp.

Thanks for pointing that out, Lyth.

Dunno how I mixed that up. lol At least I was half-correct. I blame it on being really, really stressed lately. And tired.

A couple of people in this thread had CSII for the PSP and they liked it so... idk, maybe you'll like it too. You obviously can't use an arcade stick or console controller, but you do get that great story and that dungeon crawling thing.

On another note: After playing Rachel again, I must say it is very perplexing playing her. I DON'T HAVE A GOOD JAB!? WHAT IS THIS MADNESS??

Don't take this the wrong way, but there's something amusing about when you bluntly go "doesn't need it" as a response to something. I don't know why, probably since you always give out useful explanations that it's funny and seems out of character for you to be blunt.
