I think in that situation it's better to block high because i don't think you get a very good combo off of 3d

Arakune is dumb.

Speaking of which, I'm kinda glad I switched to Mu. Whenever I hit someone with Noel's 2D, I feel immense joy and guilt at the same time. That can't be good for your mental health.

That's alright, I used to have a thing for semi-yelling "Boom, b----!" when I did a Distortion ender to a combo. Or a super ender to a combo in any fighter. Luckily that's gone away a while ago.

Also, I was playing online a bit today and came across some Arakune players. I found if you get cursed as Noel your best shot is to try and play keepaway as much as possible to try and run out the curse gauge. Of course...that comes across as a "no duh" thing probably.

Throws are unblockable online, you jerk. Just like Jayoku. ;)

But yeah, because on the one hand they deserve it, because getting hit with 2D means you weren't respecting Noel, and even though she doesn't have real DPs, you kind of need to treat her like she's a DP character. But then on the other hand, I always remember how much I hated getting hit with 9k from Arakune, and then I remember how it always made me feel, I imagine the person taking 5k for their own mistake is feeling the same way.

LOOOL.

And if you get cursed, just block. Barrier if you only have one primer left. If you try to play keepaway, odds are, you're just going to eat a buttload of damage anyway with all dem BEEZ.

Running away from arakune is a bad idea. Especially if its a spammy arakune who mashes all 4 buttons to summon their bees.

Exactly. :(
I QQ about throws online all the time except airgrabs are like my favorite thing ever.

So I was just playing online for the past hour and these two guys who were hosting the room must've thought the game was called "Blazed Blue" because I swear these guys were freaking high just listening to them. Was oddly hilarious. It's not relevant to anything I know, just thought I'd share it.

I'd travel out for things but well...trying to save up money. And always seemed weird travelling hours on end for something like that. I'm not sure why.

I was gonna go to ECT, but I don't really have the money, and I've already travelled pretty far for one tournament this year already.

Maybe next year...

So, this is going to sound random and totally is something I should know, but since I tend to only Burst when I absolutely need it, I'm a bit confused on the whole Burst and "Gold Burst" thing, lol.

Green burst occurs when you are being attacked. Say you burst out of being hit by Ragna's Inferno Divider. It's green because you're still in hitstun. Gold burst is a burst performed when you're not being attacked. They launch on hit, and you can combo after them. If you use a gold burst mid-combo, it reverse prorates, meaning big damage.

Also, start-up is completely invincible.

D'aww, you're making me blush. :embarrass:

And it's no problem.

By the way, would any of you guys be interested in doing an online tournament? I thought it might be a fun idea...

Hmm, I dunno yet. Summer is generally ideal, because people aren't in school, and have deadlines and such. More laid-back time to do it. Plus, it's a topic that keeps coming up every now and again, and everyone's into it, but then we forget about it again.

We would need at least eight for each console to run a bracket.
