Yeah...forgots about Vice, and El Squeaky Feet Fuerte. Still, after watching that, I'm like trying to think how I'd best approach that as Noel and hoping I'd avoid the whole "B Optic Barrel then CHAAARGE!" thing, lol. And top Litchi again potentially? Back to the drawing board.

And with the Mu thing, I'm trying to remember if it's just that new like aerial move she got or if she got some other new ones too.

Command grabs are grabs issued by a unique command. Literally nothing more.

They just happen to usually be unblockable. If you wanna make a big deal about it, they're more like attack-throws from Soul Calibur and DoA.

I should probably start playing again too, but...been putting lots of time in TTT2 and been sick the past two days and watching Deadwood in the meantime. Ah hell, I'll pick it up again when I feel better.

i might be slow, but I just noticed Jdietz's signature. Haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Also, Raziek, you're going to APEX right? I'm gonna be bringing my fightsticks so if you'd like some in-person 1 vs 1 time in BlazBlue, hit me up! I'll be with Asa. Also, Smash Bros. obviously.

This ain't CS1 lol. BBS isn't that fast :V.
P. sure it'd still work just fine, wait till the end of the 4 when you have the extra second and lay one down to end the round. Or off an IB'd last laser if you wanted.

@Kuarado: Ikr? It's cracked me up since the day I heard it uttered irl, and a sig it has been ever since.

I'm torn now... do I play BB tonight, or start playing Journey since I gifted it to myself...... hnnng difficult decisions.

EDIT: I'm a sucker for interesting art games... but if anyone is wanting some BB I'd gladly join them later if I'm on.

I might hop on BB for a bit. TTT2 is being an odd bit frustrating as due to series unfamiliarity, my buttons seem to "stop working" half way through a match an there seems to be at least what feels like lag with my Tag Button.

Finally some N-O Rachel. Didn't really change my opinion on her but the matches weren't boring, which is a welcome change. I feel like she might be able to get okay meterless damage by adding george into the combo but if you do that you're basically sacrificing any possibility for george oki. Meh.

Random JBBS tier assessment, so obviously take with a grain of salt. Not ordered within tiers:

S: Taokaka, Hazama, Hakumen, Jin, Litchi
A+: Mu, Azrael, Valkenhayn, Relius
A: Ragna, Carl, Arakune, Rachel, Tsubaki, Bang, Platinum, Nu
B: Makoto, Izayoi, Noel, Bullet, Tager, Amane

Hmmm....yeah, understand if I'm gonna certainly take it with a bit of salt like you said, lol. Granted, Hazama/Hakumen/Jin and Tager/Amane make sense based off what I've heard but other than that...errr...

I would've disagreed with Azrael being so high, Lyth, until I saw some of the more recent matches (re)uploaded by Jourdal. Lol. I'm glad people are figuring out how to get in, because for the longest I was struggling to see it. I had a lousy impression of his neutral game, too. (As in, landing solid hitconfirms into combos.)

I still think Jin too stronk.

Hazama is amazing, too.

I disagree. Based on what I've seen so far, it looks rather accurate to me.

What makes you think otherwise?

I know, right? Stupid Jin. Though I'd honestly rather have strong Jin than strong Ragna. :I

I was sort of meh on Azrael at first as well, but it seems like he's got good answers to everything, and good damage to boot.

Partly it's random things people have been saying that I can't verify how much if any they know about the game that should be taken with salt (aka saying Relius is still 'meh', for one example) and my personal thought that with the amount of Bullets that at least SEEM to be around still meaning she can't be that bad (as Izayoi just came out, I feel I can't use that same reasoning for her as she pretty much is "THE" new character). Oh, and well...of course there's my own personal bias at not wanting to believe anything that would paint Noel as low/bottom tier since a lot of the BBCP Noel discussion on Dustloop in the character board was giving me a positive and hopeful feeling on her placement (I'd predicted a solid A).

Izayoi is like:

Expected Vergil teleports, got Nanaya teleports instead.
Expected Aegis IADs and mixup, got install mode instead.

I dunno what to feel about her really, I haven't seen anyone do particularly good with her.

Noel is like EX Noel with some nerfs and a new gatling with 5B 6A to help midscreen. When other characters get buffs instead, seems expected that she'd stay low on the tier list.

I'm hoping Goro makes more people salty and that Makoto moves up though lolol

The thing personally for me with Noel is that when I looked at the changes to her, I didn't so much see them as "nerfs" as I sort of did as "re-design". Like, I see them as things that will make us play her a good bit differently, but I get this feeling some of it could work out positively and to me, I kind of have a hard time saying one way or another whether it's going to work out positively or negatively. Plus Revolver Blast having essentially an ender is nice, and 236C is just so good looking.

Edit: It's actually funny you mention that Lunakage post, because that was one of the things I thought of that made me think she wouldn't be that bad. And if she winds up being just at what her Extend counterpart is, that's fine with me because I've always felt she wasn't nerfed nearly as badly in Extend as people were crying out and saying that she was.

That's what they've been doing the whole time though, are "redesigns." They just involve buffing and nerfing, adding new moves, etc. They've been trying to make Noel less reliant on drive every single iteration, and they're getting there. CP is probably the best they've come so far, and Extend does a pretty good job of it, with the exception of 4D (which is still a pretty dumb move).

As far as something working out positively or negatively doesn't really matter much for the character, but for you, as a player. I'm pretty positive about her changes, but it doesn't necessarily make her a better character than Extend Noel. And I think EX Noel is mostly fine as she is anyway.

Yeah, I can agree with that. It partly depends on what you're sort of expecting to be able to do/get out of your Noel, if that makes sense. Like, I actually kind of prefer Extend Noel to CS2 Noel, because even though yeah, CS2 Noel is stronger, I feel I have more freedom with Extend Noel. And oddly enough, I kinda don't miss the Haida like I'm most likely going to miss the A version of Optic Barrel.

Goro's a huge outlier indeed. But Makoto's gained back a lot of her stuff since EX. In comparison to CS2, Corner carry is arguably the same, orb oki is slightly slower but still favored. Midscreen is actually better. Lander Blow is a mix depending on the respect level of the player (it's fantastic to reset pressure if they're more conservative vs aggressive). Overdrive seems to be among the better ones. Cosmic ray is meh lol.

Hopefully the other good players catch up to him such as Matsu.

Almost at APEX. After Brawl's done I'm gonna try and get some games going in BlazBlue with Raziek and some others (brought PS3 version of Extend in case nobody else brought it).

Come to Evo if you can, Kuraudo since I'll be going. Probably going to be a BB side tourney like last year (which had around 100 or so).
Hopefully CP is out before then too.

Well, GGs Minato. I'd say I've had a full night at least. Playing P4A with some people on my friends list from 8-10:30, migrating over to Extend when they went, and then playing Minato from about 11 to midnight. Once again, sorry for getting irritated, frustrated, and at times a bit bewildered/baffled over my mic. I didn't mean to, it just sorta happened.

However, that being said I do admittedly feel as if things could have gone much better in our matches and that I have some idea of what's going to be said. I could make the excuse that "remember, a bunch of things I did were unintentional", but I kinda think that goes without saying in a lot of the instances since nobody would really intentionally do some of the things that wound up happening anyway, so it's pretty unlikely people would think that in the first place. I'm hoping some good came of it though, and that these next few months of practicing and learning aren't nearly as long as they could be.

He just needs to block low and react to highs rather than the other way around since I saw a lot of yellow exclamation marks.

Habits I noticed was jump back air dash at every start of the round. It's fine since a lot of people do it and you can't really punish it with most characters/start your offense, but you failed to block low each time after. You tried doing less j.AAA throw I noticed, but you did j.B throw instead or 5A throw. If you want to tick throw, make sure to delay it so it isn't a purple/pink throw so it's more effective offline. Other than that, try relying less on mashing. Most of your wake ups were you jumping or doing 4D/2D. Every other time where you didn't do either of those, you got hit by a low.

I saw some hesitation though on your actions, so I feel like you're slowly trying to correct yourself.
Also remember to save some of the matches where you lost, not just the two that you won.

I'm admittedly unsure on the exactly time delay needed to properly tick through, so yeah that is a bit of it. I'm not too sure on the thought process regarding some of those 4Ds or j.2Ds so I think what likely happened is that I panicked or it might have been the couple of rounds where I was like "what the...this feels like it's WORSE entirely, I should go back to what it was before more". And yeah, I was trying to be a bit more thoughtful with my actions, but I admit that a bunch of the time I thought that I was actually playing scared or coming across as playing timid or something. It was also admittedly tough to stick to because I remember there being a number of times where it just felt kinda...weird since my mind was going "you're getting hit more and fighting back less, what's going on?. If you're in a shoot-out, you don't let the other guy shoot you a few times before you start firing..." during parts. Plus, there were instances where I REALLY wanted to go in. Gotta say though, I'm glad I seem to be doing something right though.

Edit: And yeah, I saved more replays than just the couple that I won. Hmm...it'd be nice though if you could have the replays show your input history throughout the match, and if they somehow can and I didn't know about it until now, then sweet.
