Oh my god.
You use japanese voices.
Everything BlazBlue that you talk about is now moot.

I'm thinking she might become sub material, fo' shizz. :3c
Yeah, she's fun to play. I'm not worrying about subs right now, though; I'm still learning how to play Noel.

I partially agree. The English voice actors are actually pretty good, for the most part.

Lol continuum shift 2. They're just updating the arcade game with the new balance patch (which makes me hopeful that it will have some big changes) and DLC characters, but it's still pretty funny.

Mu is Noel with less clothes but less guns too. So it's an even trade. Perhaps I will play all tournaments with Noel and switch to Mu if I lose. Kinda like before and after pics, or a boss with two forms.

Tager's English voice actor is the best thing to happen to a fighting game since Street Fighter.

I think most of the Eng and Jpn voices are pretty even. There are some voices I prefer on the English side like Tager, some on the Japanese side like Hazama, and some on neither like Bang. lol

Both voice sets are okay, but you lose so much of the funny banter when you go with the Japanese voices. It's not like SSF4, where some of the English voices are cringe-worthy (looks at Chun/Makoto/Ibuki).

Anyone up for some lagtastic matches?

It's weird, I find Hazama's English voice actor to really suit things in the story mode dialogs, but in battle I find it kind of annoying, especially the "there you are!" bit. I'd also agree that you lose something with pretty much every character that isn't Arakune when it comes to using Japanese voices.

I'm actually getting interested in Mu now since she seems like she has zoning options that are about as good as Lambda's but with better defensive options.

Does anyone here actually main her?

Dialogue in BB has always been on point for English. There's not a single character whose voice is out of place or character.

I can see the draw of Japanese if you speak it fluently and understand it all... but if you don't, the English VA's are a million times better.

You can sort of zone with Mu, but you sort of can't. Mu is an oki character. Get a knockdown, set steins, apply pressure, (hopefully) get damage. As far as zoning and lockdown goes, Lambda is better. Mu's normals are pretty good, but I think Lambda does more combo damage overall. They both have decent DPs. I'm fairly certain that they have the same amount of health.

I guess it just depends on what you like better: zoning or oki?

As far as voices go, I play Noel and my boyfriend plays Jin, so I was really tired of hearing, "YOU'RE NO LONGER MY SUPERIOR, JIN KISARAGI" every time I did a distortion. Stuff like that gets old fast. Hence, Japanese voices.

...tell your boyfriend to stop getting combo'd into Fenrir thus ownage. |D

lolz Too bad he doesn't play other characters too. I'd get tired of hearing that over and over again too if I mained her.

At least Ragna just goes all ****** with Carnage Scissors.

Well, it's kinda hard not to, unless he bursts. Noel's 5D = invincibility frames.

And he does play other characters (Tsubaki, Lambda, etc.), but Jin is his main, so I hear it a lot, regardless. Mostly, I'm just happy that Ragna/Lambda doesn't have a special voice anymore. That was really annoying too.

Anyway, I agree with Minato that some are better in English (Rachel, Tao) and some are better in Japanese (everyone else).

Less QQ, more aerial distortion-based pew pew.

The fact that you honestly believe Tager/Hazama/Tsubaki/Makoto/Carl/pretty much anyone sounds better in Japanese is a combination of both laughable and sad.

Espy, stop being so rage about everything. Seriously, you're harshin' my mellow.

It's ****ing personal preference, and while I happen to agree that for the most part, the English voices are better, MY OPINION is that Hazama's English voice is really annoying, so I play JP.

Now stop raging at stick/JP voice players. srsly.

The only thing I rage about is the poor online. Minato and I could only make it through two matches before we gave up and played Street Fighter.

Agreed.

I was in a room, and everyone else was a local connection (as in, they live in the same city as me), and we had so many lost connections. It was really aggravating.

I actually like Rachel and Tao's Japanese voices (but that's because I'm familiar with the VAs other works), but I really like their English voices too. They're both pretty even for me.

I find all the voices good with some better than others. Like JPN Jin's "nii-san" beats the English version for me. I don't like English Hazama's battle voice. In story, it's good though.

which char is the easiest to rush and pressure with? I wanna say tao or ragna, but I'm not really sure.
Easiest might be Ragna since he's pretty much easy to use in general. Best would probably be Litchi, but her pressure game isn't easy.

This. I doubt this is going to happen though.

Haha, yeah. The lag was so bad that it's difficult to space. Most of the hits I could get out were projectiles, and I didn't want to get most of my damage off from that. I'd play BB more if online was less laggy. Other than that, I might just drop this game until the patch and just play Guilty Gear or something more.
I especially love how the game says your connection is really good, but when the match actually starts it's the worst lag ever, but that's more prominent in Street Fighter than Blazblue.
Fighters need to stop using those bars to measure if there's lag or not. I liked it in MvC2 where it showed the ping so you'd know if it's good or not. Not a green number/bar that ends up being a laggy match.

Yeah, but the good thing is that it's still a pretty new game, so there's always the chance they'll release a patch for it or something that helps to deal with the online aspect. And wow, people still get combo'd into Fenrir constantly? Go figure.

That's what I'm hoping for. Hopefully, they'll fix it whenever they release the next patch.

And he doesn't get Fenrir'd constantly. Just occasionally.

Oh, well that's less embarrassing then, lol. I haven't actually taken CS online yet, but is the lag so bad that it'll leave you doing moves 3 seconds after you do button presses?

I would actually say Bang. 2 air dashes help with approaches and even though he has **** range almost every hit he does leads to big damage.

I actually don't think it's bad at all. I've never had problems with it.

I'm seeing a lot of complaints about lag, but CS hasn't felt any worse than CT to me so far.

I disagree. I have a game that I played. Tager vs. Lambda.

I couldn't even sledge. The set took about 20 minutes to finish. I couldn't even manage a single Spark Bolt or 360.
I saved it because it looks so sad in regular speed.

I honestly don't care.
I'm just blatantly trolling, because it's boring.

And I finished my meatball sub. I needed some filler in-between.
