I think the other Hazama on top of the grimoire was cooler. You can see his whole crazy pose that way. What if you ditch the Hazama on the right, and if it looks really naked, why not throw in another Ouroboros chain instead? It might help it look more consistent.

I haven't touched BBCS in a long time, but Tager was my 3rd most frequent encounter.
My matches would go Ragna, Ragna, Ragna, Hakumen, Tager, Hakumen Hakumen, Ragna, Hakumen, Bang, Tager, etc.

I expected to see Hazama before the game was released, but lag makes Hazama too hard to play. And usually if I do see a Hazama, it was usually bad one that would just use Drive and try to cross me up EVERY TIME and just score a reversal DD whenever he has heat. Apparently they didn't learn since I would always use Rachel's chair to punish.

I wouldn't necessarily say that those of us that don't use sticks are crazy, it's just...those things are pricey. Plus, I can never do commands anywhere near as well with a joystick as I can with the joypad.

For me, an arcade stick is easier to use than a pad because of the button layout and the stick. It was difficult at first, but after getting used to it, it made my execution better in the long run. But honestly, I think it's better for people to use whatever is easier for them. (Although keyboard players are crazy lol)

I think BB isn't too hard to use on a pad. I've tried it before, but that might be because I was using Rachel or Ragna.
For the life of me, I don't think I could ever do Guilty Gear on a pad because of FRCs.

I'm going to learn how to do it so everyone in my group will be like "ARRRGHH, NOEL." Not that they're not like that already though. ._.

And likewise, I usually try to avoid online, but I've been in training mode with Mu, so I wanted to see how my combos would work against a human opponent, but good grief. I know waiting for a ranked match takes a very long time (and that was annoying enough), but all I got was Tager, Tager, Tager, Ragna, Tager, Ragna, Hazama, Tager. Exaggerating a little, but sheesh. I never realized it, but Tager must be the easy scrub character or something. When the game first came out, and all I could play with were Japanese players, at least most of them played Lambda.

Fair enough. I can justify the money because the pros of the stick outweigh the cons for me.

Yeah, I can understand it having some pros, especially if you're using someone like Tager and have to pull off 1080s. It's just when I first got into fighting games as a young'in it was all d-pad and stuff (Smash is actually the only one I use the joystick for). And plus, the pad makes it easier to air-dash I find, and I always tend/ed to do a lot of that when using Millia in GGX2.

I think the 360 controller is near perfect already. My only gripe would be that the guide/start button can be accidentally pressed when your nervous and you try to do a motion really fast, but really I have no problems executing anything. Not even in Marvel.

Also, when I speak of the 360 controller I'm not talking about the D-pad. D-pads in general are p. horrible.

One more thing, on Live, Hazama, Tager, and Noel are the most popular from what I've experienced.

My main problem with the 360 D-Stick is that 623 is touchy as balls.

As for online, I always seem to get Ragna, Jin, Noel. Rarely anyone else.

I have yet to play a Jin or Noel online in CS.

When I played on a pad, I would use the PS3's d-pad. It's pretty decent, as far as they go. I can't even imagine playing anything on a 360 controller. Well, I played SFIV once, and believe me, once was enough.

As a Melty Blood player, I can say with experience that I would rather play on a Nintendo 64 controller than a PS2 controller.

N64 controller is the worst controller, by far. Not only did they kill your hands, but they just broke. A lot. I dunno, maybe I'm biased, but the Dualshock is one of the best controllers.

Yeah, I can understand it having some pros, especially if you're using someone like Tager and have to pull off 1080s.

I would just like to point out that my roommate plays Tager on pad and can pull off his command grabs at will (including the 720). It also helps that BB's buffering system is redonkulously lenient.

I'm comfortable with playing on pad for now, but if I ever get a ******** amount of money an arcade stick is one of the first things I'm buying.

It used to be you couldn't be good on a pad. Mostly because no one was ever good on a pad.

Times have changed for sure. I think most Melty Blood players play on pad, at least from what I've seen. And players named Vangief and Snake Eyes have made it legit.

That's pretty much all I've ever fought online.

I don't use sticks because they're so expensive, bulky, inconvenient, and from what I've observed, easily break and require maintenance (more money) over time.
Controllers are inexpensive, comfortable, easy to carry around, and fit in the palm of my hand.
That, and the red PS3 controller makes me climax.

Sticks are also just...stupid.

Freakiest thing is though, I remember hearing something that some Zangief player at like EVO or something (can't remember the tourney for sure) was using the 360 pad and almost won the whole thing. I actually didn't mind the N64 controller or pad much, but only fighting game I played on N64 was KI Gold. I remember liking the Dreamcast controller though, but the PS3 pad has always felt alright to me and the fact the controller hasn't changed much at all just helps to keep it familiar.

It was EVO and it was Vangief. He also won the HD Remix tourney, iirc. I'm telling you it's just a solid controller. My brother and I like to joke that the reason PS3 players don't complain about their own controller is because they all play on stick.

I still can't believe how good that C Viper player was at EVO. Using a standard 360 controller for Viper sounds pretty difficult because of her execution.

And I think pad players have it easier now. Fighting games are generally more lenient on inputs and timing. Also most fighters don't require 6 attack buttons so that might ease things up a bit. I have problems playing Super Turbo with a d-pad. The timing for DPs are strict for me. But newer fighters like BB and Melty are much easier to handle. It's only muscle memory that's causing the problem for me there.

SnakeEyes won HD Remix with Zangief, Vangief beat Justin Wong in SSFIV and got 5th with Zangief. Both used pad.

BlazBlue on pad is actually not too hard imo. I have trouble with SF games on pad though because I don't like mapping things to the shoulder buttons.

I'll be coming on right away, but if you see someone using Beginner Mode stuff on my name while we play, it's because the neighbour's kid (he's 11 years old) is playing. He wants to get into the game because of me and uses Bang. Don't expect anything too good outside of what Beginner Mode has in store, but it'll mostly just be me playing.

It makes you wonder if there's something about most Americans that makes it seem noninstinctive to block. I block, but I forget to use barrier.

And thanks. If I can get the small bits into my muscle memory, it's just a matter of linking everything together. Baby steps I suppose.

I hate that too. I can't go online with my Wii (like I'd ever do aside from shopping) because the only Wi-Fi I can use is for computers, particularly those with certified connections (aka being a college student).
