It happens to me, at least.

Sometimes it's fun but sometimes I need to take a step back and realize that I've basically only been thinking about the same 5~ franchises for so long that I'm not sure what to do after I grow tired of them.

Gotta be honest, this year kinda ruled for me. I'm really happy where I ended off this year compared to where I started, my whole personal accomplishments and growth journey, I was able to achieve my major goals for the year.

So 2025? Well I hit the goals of moving out, new job, making new friends, so I guess what's next for me is... finding love.

Oh uh this year in summary?

I'm actually not sure. More than any other year, 2024 felt like it went by so fast that I didn't even realize it was ending until too late.

Well, I can easily say this wasn't a terrible year, cuz nothing is ever gonna be worse than 2022 or 2019 were for me. But for me this year just...kinda happened. That said I made a lot of great memories and, my worries about the future after the election aside, I'm pretty confident about this coming year too. And I guess that's gotta count for something.

Also music was actually good again this year thank god

This was a pretty huge year for me. I finally figured out my gender identity, played a bunch of games that I meant to play for years (which is something I haven't done in a while AND I discovered some of my new favorite series like Persona and Pikmin), and figured out what I wanna do with my life.

I don't really think this is the right time for me to recap this year as a whole and declare my new year's resolution and stuff though since I haven't actually aged up yet. That would be in a few hours from now

Happy to see all the success stories here. But I gotta be real you guys my 2024 was mid as hell.

I can’t say anything really substantial happened. Had some pretty bad news a few times but things worked out alright, at least so far. Tried a few jobs that I ended up hating, figured out I just hate retail in general. School’s going fine I guess, nothing to really note there. Still can’t drive. Social life is still a joke. Don’t even get me started on what went on with the world.

Far from the worst year I’ve ever had but far from the best either. If I had to rank it it’d be a middling C tier year.

When it comes to things like my working or social life I don’t expect 2025 to be any better, if something was gonna happen it probably would’ve happened by now.

But hey, I’ll have tons of new games to play, movies to watch, and a radical new theme park is opening. Thats something

I'm thinking about my idea for a Pokemon Love Type again. Y'know, the one that's strong against cruelty and darkness but weak against insects.

For a while, I considered making Love weak to Fire, cuz, y'know, heartburn. But then I realized...part of my wishes when it comes to the Love type was to nerf Steel, which DOMINATED Gen 9 and has been one of the best types for years. But Fire is not only strong against Steel itself, but also just one of the best types in general, with a lot of resistances (including Fairy, one of the OTHER best types) and being the most reliable counter to Steel in general. Plus it has Incineroar, so, yeah, y'know...

I feel like if Love was added and was weak to Fire, Fire would supplant Steel as the new Best Type in the Game - which is ridiculous given that it's a STARTING TYPE. I don't want the main Starter Type Trio to be that hideously weighted, and Love being weak to Fire would also probably cripple the Love type overall (nobody likes being weak to the best type in the game, as Hydreigon can attest), so I kicked out that idea.

And as a summary, here is the type matchup I made for Love.

I like this cuz not only does it nerf Steel and give a nice boost to Bug, but it's also a huge boon for Psychic, which has suffered HORRIBLY since its initial fall from grace and has just fallen by the wayside overall. A new type like this would let Psychic become more of a mainstay again.

1. Nintendo E-Shop sales suck ****. All trash.
2. Denuvo sucks and that's why I'm holding off SonicxShadow Gens
3. I'm thinking of buying games I normally wouldn't try/unfamiliar with, like Live-A-Live, MGS, Yakuza (where do I start with Yakuza?)
4. I should dust off my PS4.

I'm a man of my word. Went to gamestop today and got Horizon Zero Dawn, Yakuza 0, and my unexpected choice, Ghost of Tsushima. I was gonna pick FF7R but then I remembered the Yuffie story and sequel are on the PS5 which I don't own.

Anyways, all that came to $60. 20 dollars a pop. Mario Kart 8 today goes for $60. A game that's over a decade old.

This should be illegal.
