Reason #30 why we need a new 3D Mario. It’s been nearly a decade since the last one.

And Overwatch 2 is bringing back lootboxes.

Upon reading what blizzard has released about this Lootbox thing, It appears they might only be obtained through free means and you cannot purchase them. They do not mention the ability to buy them anywhere.

They are not 100% confirmed to be free only but it is likely.

The Lootbox stuff is very worrying but everything else they announced in the stream does look really fun, especially the perk system and the third person gamemode.

Things that could also hint at something Eevee

• Pokémon Center is celebrating Year of Eevee
• Eevee got a Pokémon Day promo trading card this month
• SV has a Mystery Gift event for a Flying Tera Type Eevee to celebrate Pokémon Day
• The Pokémon Day banner is Eeveelution themed
• Last Eeveelution made was almost 12 years ago

Of course for all we know it could all be big straw grasping and inevitable disappointment.

Does Overwatch 2 actually have a proper PvE gamemode now? Or is one being developed again and on the way? And I don't mean the Halloween or story events that only playable on occasion.

I haven't played the game in years but I've honestly been considering getting back into it. I miss playing as Orisa.

Yeah grey is the official color of the normal type, so I'm going to assume the grey stripe is for Eevee.


That said though imagine if they did make a normal-type Eeveelution. I wonder what approach they'd take with that. Making a bigger Eevee would be lazy and I can't really see them doing it that way anyway. Maybe give it a type-changing ability like protean, or give it an ability that boosts move damage of non-STAB moves (maybe by like, 30%)?

If the grey stripe doesn't represent Eevee and/or the Normal type, I believe it COULD represent the Steel type.

The coloration represents Steel just as well as it represents Normal, and Steel has been a heavily requested Eevee type since it was introduced (given the Dark type also got one in gen 2).

Plus we all know how Game Freak wants to marry the Steel type with how broken it is. ESPECIALLY in gen 9...

Yes it does kinda they added paid PVE missions a while back.

They aren't adding new PVE missions anymore right now though, and are probably reusing some scrapped PVE gameplay ideas into the PVP with a new Perk system and a new mode in the future called Stadium which is like a weird MOBA style gamemode that also has a third person option.

Why? The color of the balloons is clearly for typing and not their color scheme, as if their color scheme isn’t based off of their type to begin with.

The colors of the other stripes are the colors that the types Eevee can evolve into are associated with, not just the Eeveelutions themselves.

Like, wouldn't it be so cool if they put in elements from all its evos at the time? Like, let its genetic instability be on full show and let it wield its potential at full power, and make its max move either burn, paralyze or freeze the opponent like with Tri Attack.

Instead we got 'oh, it's friendly and wants to hug things'. Yeah, Goodra and Bewear say hi.

That's very true. However, Pikachu's line is typically more

than Eevee's line -it exemplifies electricity, energy and rodents. So I'm more fine with Pikachu's Gigantamax being on the sillier, simpler side.

Eevee...look at the Partner Eevee in Let's Go, it played with Eevee's genetic instability really well. Something like that is what I would've loved to see rather than...G-Max Cuddle...

Now I'm thinking about a Gigantamax GOODRA with a move like G-Max Cuddle. That would be awesome.

Really? They haven’t made it evolvable in any other game yet? That surprises me.

It's not really that surprising, it's intentional. If you wanna 'catch 'em all', you 'have' to download Pokemon GO.


Now granted, they've made it less so in recent years with the permanently free Melmetal from HOME, but ya Meltan outside of GO is as useful as a Male Combee, even less so since at least Combee can breed.

If Meltan and Melmetal were in S/V in some form it'd probably be evolvable either through the same method as Gimmighoul or using the Metal Alloy that Duraludon needs tbh

All the specifics about acquiring and evolving the Meltan line makes it one of my least favorites. It’s just a lot of hassle for a design that I’m not a huge fan of anyways.

Thankfully, a lot of that space is shared between the Eeveelutions.
