Going back to the subject of mascot horror, as much a lot of more recent games in the genre have either failed or, in the case of Poppy Playtime's company, treated their employees like **** and tried to capitalize on the NFT business, I'm actually really looking forward to what other developers of some upcoming Mascot Horror projects are cooking up.

This one, for example...

...not only looks really high quality, but also simultaneously disturbing, heartbreaking, and moving. The trailer alone genuinely invokes a bit of nostalgia of watching edutainment shows and going to places like theme parks and arcades as a kid that tons of other Mascot Horror games have tried to either replicate or just outright parody, to varying degrees of success, yet still keeps an underlying tone of dread and unease, setting up for both the general horror element and something big later down the line.

Poliwrath. Pawmot. Really any “it just gets bigger” pokemon.
Not sure if I agree.

I’d argue “it just gets bigger” is simply the most basic form of Pokemon evolution design philosophy. Mega Evolution on the other hand is about exaggerating one or more of the Pokémon’s traits to the extreme. Like Garchomp being even more spikey, or Blastoise getting a bigger cannon.
Also Dundunsparce.
That’s just a ****post

For a while my Deadly Six brainrot was so ingrained into my psyche I designed a group of Eevee-esque Pokemon that evolved into Deadly Six homages. Like, we had a baby normal type named Zetiny, and it'd evolve into Zavok (a fire type), Zazz (an electric type), Zomom (a ground type), Master Zik (a water type), Zeena (an ice type) and Zor (a dark type).

And because I was (and still am) a shipper, you could breed the Zeena and Zor-based evos to get another, Fairy-type Pokemon.

These six owned my soul, and it could be argued they still do.

As much as I love the joke of Dudunsparce, the fact it's a joke is kinda... well, jokes are funny maybe the first few times, but will it still be funny in 10-15 years?

Maybe not. But I do appreciate that it’s really an in-joke for dedicated players.

Longtime fans will have the context of years of fake Dunsparce evolutions turning it into an epic dragon thing. If you’re a new player or just aren’t really involved with the fandom, it just looks like they got really lazy.

Dudunsparce is truly for the fans :nifty:

At the very least, it gave a longtime forgotten trashmon some new relevancy so that it's viable in casual playthroughs.
