So this is what it's like sitting at the nerd table during lunchtime.

**** that I always went home for Lunch or went somewhere else. The cafeteria was a mess back in those days.

So this is another concept I had knocking around, but I didn't and still don't know how to draw it properly.

She's a bounty hunter and mercenary who has a high success rate at whatever task she's paid for but has an overzealous thirst for battle and really doesn't look before she leaps, resulting in a huge chunk of her body being replaced with combat-enhancing prosthetics. As to if even more of it gets replaced or not, though, she really couldn't care less, and she'd rather just keep being reckless until she loses something she can't replace. Despite her intimidating exterior and aggressive work attitude however she's surprisingly cordial off-duty and happily revels in the adoration of anyone that looks up to her.

For the record, the first thing I got out a couple days ago was this:

I've been really wanting to work on the idea of having a fantasy race on hand instead of just one super generic design but I really haven't even been taking the first steps into that until now. Both of these characters are intended to be the same core "race" (I have a couple of others in mind that would essentially be different species under the same genus, namely a small, stubby desert race and an ocean race with a dolphin-esque face and a flattened tail), but with differing complexions that I might potentially diverge a bit further to make it clear it's deliberate.

You’d be surprised by how many video game fandubs there are out there... Undertale seems to be a particularly popular one, considering how dialogue heavy it is.

I guess I'm just confused by the execution.

Modern games are so mocap heavy that it'd be impossible to match the lips and facial expressions with any meaningful changes to the script or delivery.

Classic games are so text heavy that you'd just be adding voices to the written words onscreen.

Maybe I'm just being too particular about the specifics though. Are they fandubs or parodies?

Oh, I heard of those quickie subs. Personally I prefer to avoid that stuff if the translation's less accurate.

Out of what I have seen they are fandubs. I think they only dub stuff such as the cutscenes, though. I could be wrong, of course, as I have never seen one myself.

You're talking about Snapcube? 'cuz it's definitly a parody in their cases, since everything is done in one take while the cutscenes roll, so it's the VA kob to try their best to make sense of what little things they can follow at time, and it's glorious.

If the fandub of Sonic 06 is anything to go off of, they just watch the cutscenes and make the characters say whatever they think of off the top of their head, because the entire dub is meant to be done in one take.

I know, right? People on 4Chan made fun of Champstice and Lew for being slow with Juspion and other shows (even though part of the slowness is due to hiring translators). But who's laughing now? I mean, it's rare to see fansubbers help with the official legal English release of a show.

Also, Gavan's been completed by MillionfoldCuriosity ages ago, while Metallic Fansubs got Jiraiya and Jiban out of the way.

WeeabooShogun's still busy with Shinkalion though, so Exceedraft is on hold for a bit.

So I just learned today that neither Naoto Kurogane, Teddie, Seth, nor Heart have unique voice lines in BBTAG. It's literally Palutena's Guidance and post-launch DBFZ DLC all over again! Could they not have delayed or at least save them for a sequel or something?? Jesus H. I was excited at the prospect of Tsukihime and/or Fate characters interacting with Blazblue and Persona characters, but now that will NEVER happen!
