Keeping my skills in MHW Iceborne fresh in anticipation for MH Wilds. Helping SOS get their (first) clears against all endgame threats such as Furious Rajang, Raging Brachydios, AT Velkhana, Alatreon, Fatalis, and occasionally other niche quests and base-Iceborne SOS. I still have an intention to finish every other game of the franchise but for now I am interested in maintaining my skills relevant to modern MH titles.

I'm surprised people are still playing MHW. I really enjoyed it but haven't touched it for a few years. I'm also looking forward to Wilds.

Right now I'm playing the Elden Ring DLC.

Yea I also play the from games like they're the other side of the same/similar coin. Was able to clear SOTE last month and now I'm back to mainly sticking to MH. Will be there for the next from title though, especially soulsbourne.

SOS is still hella active at least in my area, not to mention the mod to unlock region. In my region, there are still many and a constant stream of people requesting for help against their first endgame monster clear. Some of us high MR yellow tag folks who are done with the game still come back to help, and for me at least on a semi-regular basis.

don't mean to kick a dead horse of a topic, but Risebreak is the more recent title but has less longevity judging by player count, Worldborne is still the highest one but it helps that Wilds is mainline just like World; I still love the Ichinose/portable titles for what they are and even find their endgames to be harder, but I jive with the combat philosophy of the mainline team / Tokuda / Fujioka / Ryozo more than Ichinose's vision

moving on to 200 kill count against Fatalis, but lowkey Alatreon is my most favorite SOLO fight... worst SOS clear rate by far tho

I got Scarlet while there was the extra gold coins promotion.

I've just completed the main game and will get on to the DLC soon. Hope to get Raging Bolt and Gouging Fire to have the Pokedex on Home completed again.

Skyward Sword HD up to recently but beat it. Got into my nostalgic flavor and ordered Paper Mario TTYD Switch afterwards and am playing it now. Albeit on a slow pace.

Horizon Forbidden West is so ****ing fun! I swear, if I wouldn't get carpel tunnel syndrome I'd play it 24/7 and rescuers would discover my body a dead husk clutching a PS5 controller.

I'm playing Vampire the Masquerade: Reckoning of New York, the last of the New York trilogy of Vampire the Masquerade visual novels.

Sifu. Masterfully crafted kung fu experience I will never master. I've beaten it in each difficultly without dying. The only thing left is to beat the whole game... hitless.

I was going to replay Chrono Trigger but then my laptop broke so I switched to replaying the NES Mega Man games on an emulator on my phone, and I just finished the first one.

For games that are considered some of the quintessential 80s experiences, Mega Man is surprisingly unlike anything of the era. There’s almost an assumption you will get hit a lot because health is so plentiful which allows the platforming aspect of an action platformer to take focus and you get the best of both worlds. The “action” aspects are very fun and switching abilities is genuinely very engaging because it allows you to deal with challenges in different ways. You’re missing out a lot if you don’t use powers in levels and save them for the boss like a lot of people seem to do. Speaking of which, the robot masters are easily the highlight even the quality of their boss fights can vary a little. I disagree with the notion that it took Mega Man 2 for the gameplay to hit its stride because the format is done so well here.

The main issues are the significant drop in quality once you reach Wily Fortress and that the final boss was underwhelming, relying on robot master rematches a little too much. The game is of course very brutal and unfair at times but I’d say it’s more forgiving than I originally remembered and I managed to beat it all in two days without restore points so it’s not too BS for me. I played it lots before though so that might be why. Oh, also that platform power up. The fact you might need to backtrack to get that was pretty frustrating and I’m glad that didnt happen in games that followed it.

Overall, I’d very much forgotten how good these games were and I’ve kind of fallen off the Mega Man series lately so it’ll be fun to play Mega Man 2. I haven’t played it as much as the original Mega Man since I usually want to replay the whole series in a marathon but stop after the first game.
And I also like trying some new games, and some time ago I decided to play casino games for the first time. I had no expectations because I had no idea whether I would like it or not. I have one friend who plays such games, and he recommended me this page https://online-casinocz.com/casino-vklad-1-euro/ where I found information about some casinos with minimum deposit. I chose the one I liked the most and decided to give it a try. I like it more than I thought I would, and I play different games when I have time.
Mega Man used to be one of my favorite games, but I've not played it for such a long time.
Now I play Perfect Dark and try to finish Days Gone

Downloaded and started playing Raiden Nova, I actually like the idea of a Twin-Stick Shooter Raiden game. It was surprisingly easy to get into even though I can be pretty klutzy with my hands. XD

Banjo-Tooie on the Switch.

I'd played it before on Xbox but got burned out at Terrydactyland.

This time I've been able to collect more things and am up to Grunty Industries. I think not playing Tooie right after Kazooie has helped a lot.

Vampire Survivors, specifically the Castlevania DLC. There's a lot of content here, and it's encouraging me to seriously dig into the Castlevania series at some point to familiarize myself with the characters that I don't know. (I've played the Metroid-inspired ones, mainly Symphony of the Night and the GBA ones, though I haven't played much of the DS games or the classic ones, though I have all of the Switch collections)

So I started playing LoZ Echoes of Wisdom and so far it's pretty fun. Collecting echoes to summon gives you a sense of progression and there have been several time when I got an echo and thought "yeah, that's going to be useful". I also like that there's a difficulty setting because it's pretty easy. My only complaint is your character (and everything) toddles along slowly and there aren't fast movement options.

Started playing Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu!

Whilst I do adore the musical soundtrack of the game, it is a bit strange that you do not have to battle wild Pokemon and instead catching them in a "Safari Zone" style mechanic.

I started playing FFVII Rebirth. The first thing I noticed is the presentation is top notch; the game is like playing through a movie. The downside is movement and exploration feel extremely limited, especially compared to the open world games I'm used to. I'm hoping I'll get more freedom once I'm out of the tutorial area.

Just went through Lego Horizon, Donkey Kong Land 1 and 2 and Secret Agent Clank.

I've got Dragon Quest III to go through now but I keep checking out other games.

Sonic Adventure 2 on Dreamcast.

I finished the Last Story but I'm debating on whether or not to go for 180 emblems again like I did on the GCN version.

FFVII Rebirth really doesn't put its best foot forward. You're hit with a good two and a half hours of a tutorial section where nothing you do matters because it's a flashback before getting to the open world. Then every stop you make or thing you discover leads to more tutorials. Everything, including the battle system, is over-complicated and you are constantly interrupted to have things explained to you. I'm hanging in there hoping it gets better.

Rebirth is probably my GotY but I don't remember being stopped all the time for explanations and tutorials. Unless it was a minigame because Rebirth has a lot of them.

If you don't like it now, I don't think you're going to enjoy it at all unless things like the battle system start clicking for you.

The Thing: Remastered and Super Mario 64. (so a bit of a contrast when it comes to my choices haha)

For Mario 64, I'm at 46 stars - I haven't beaten the game before, but I think that I'm getting close to unlocking the final set of regular levels. (I know there's a star door that requires 50 stars, while accessing the final Bowser level requires 70 stars and/or a backwards long-jump glitch that was likely patched out of modern re-releases - I'm playing on the Wii U)

The Thing: Remastered has me a little paranoid (I've seen the movie that this game serves as a sequel to, so as far as I'm concerned, any character with the possible exception of the player character could be the titular shape-shifting alien, and even then, I wouldn't put it past the writers/developers to make it so the main character became a Thing in between some levels), but I'm nowhere near as nervous as I was when I played Alien: Isolation, where I basically quit the game after the first Xenomorph encounter.

Alien Isolation is really good for the kind of horror where something's hunting you and you can't do much about it. Another game that's really good for that is amnesia the bunker.

Half-Life 2 Episode 1.

I think I'm nearing the end - I just got the crowbar, and there are only a few achievements left. It's my first playthrough, and I'm playing the game on easy mode since I'm trying to get the "The One Free Bullet" achievement at the same time. (it makes for an interesting challenge, since I'm largely sticking to the gravity gun and relying on Alyx to do a lot of the fighting - I'm hoping I didn't make a mistake somewhere, since while the game is fairly short, I don't want to risk having to play through the entire thing again)

I'm enjoying the game so far; it's interesting to go into it blind, and the puzzles have been fun to figure out. Going by the achievements, there's a part where I have to escort citizens to an escape train and I can't let any of them die if I want an achievement, so I'm concerned that it will be frustrating if I try to go for that one. (I'll still give it a try, though)

I am now playing Dodonpachi Saidaioujou, a really good game but I wish there was an English patch. At least I've finally played all the games in the Donpachi series. ;)
