Is yoshi actually a good choice against ice climbers, or is polt just stupid good?
it's probably about Even but notable Ice Climbers Polt won against are so grab drop friendly and probably don't play the Match-up right :p

The same could be said the other way around, though. The fact that I'm getting grabbed means that I'm not playing the match-up to the best of my ability. Yoshi has a lot of safe moves against the Ice Climbers, but I guess I'm not using them enough.

You need to use b-reverse egglays more. I still don't see you using it whenever you face ICs.

If we get grabbed at an early percentage, and the other player is an expert at chain grabbing, e.g. Hylian, then should we immediately mash for our lives or wait & desperately hope they mess up the grab? I mean they'll wonder why the heck you're not trying to escape won't they?

I lost ICs last weekend, it was really evil because he didn't dropped the grab at all, ICs always drop grabs against Yoshi but he doesn't :'(
Mashing is good because if you mash loud enough they fail probably because you disturb their concentration. :p

If your SDI is good, it could be possible. The problem is that all they have to do is turn around and grab you still though. =/
It's definitely possible to SDI behind them. However, the problem is exactly as you said. If they are next to the ledge then it's possible to push them off by DI'ing towards them, though.

You should mash very loudly at first, then at around 40% or so, stop mashing and announce that you'll rest until you reach 100%, then start mashing very loudly again at 80%.

^I like how small Yoshi's hurtbox is when you don't take his nose into account.

And when you do he becomes as big as Bowser. :scared:

Took 5th out of 10 today at a small, but loaded tournament (all 5 of the top 5 were there, and all but 2 are top 10 worthy)

The Olimar boards are discussing you guys, all sneaky-like.

I'd like it if you guys would come talk about it, but it might be worth looking at anyway if you don't want to contribute. =P
