There's a lot of holes in that period that you're missing. I'm just waiting for the next banlist and praying to the Konami gods.

Ruby, you hop through a bunch of threads, throwing your opinions at people as if they were absolute fact. I know you said it was "OCD" for you to "correct" people or whatever, but sometimes things are better left unsaid. It's called having an opinion. And, there's a difference between having an opinion and shoving your opinion in other people's faces.

You said want to make more friends, right? Here's a start: try listening to other people's opinions as well, and learn to just let go. A little less attitude will go a long way.
I know you can get the friends you want, it just takes work and effort.

I usually like to avoid this kind of stuff, but enough is enough. :C

So who all is excited for spellbooks?

Played a few matches on DN (I use Reaper's plant deck). Got wrecked by unusual deck archetypes and topdecks. Yugioh's still too good though lol.

Played a D-Fissure player that opened Bottomless, D-Fissure, and Mirror Force. Kinda answered all I could play. Then I played a really unique deck. Something gear-related, the guy said the archetype is 2 months old. All I know is I got ***** by Wisel. Just lost to a Machina/Machine deck. We both had no cards in our hand by the end and we were topdecking and I almost won. He topdecked into a card that goes like this: Must be spec. summoned by removing all light machines from your graveyard and it's atk/def is that number x 500. When this card is summoned send all other months on the field to the graveyard.

-_-

Oh well, back to playing Bastion.

What I was looking for was Constellars. They look like a great way to summon moster very quickly. Problem is that you run out of hand way too fast...

Cyber eltanin or something along those lines.

I was running one in my machine deck with cydras just so I could bomb the field when necessary.

I'm still confused as to how any of you guys can enjoy yugioh after the butcherjob that it's gone through since, 2011.

I find it pretty easy to stick with the game due to just deck building and collecting. If I wanted to win competitively I'd shell out more cash and learn to stack, but I don't really find the rewards too appealing.

As long as my friends IRL stick with it, I'll continue to play. Just like any CCG.

I enjoy it because I like to take a break and play with and against non-top tier decks. That's the kind of things that keeps you fresh: playing for fun instead to playing to win.

Yeah I play because I have someone IRL to play with. If my friend stopped playing, so would I and he'd probably do the same if the roles switched.

I enjoy it because it's a fun game that requires thinking.

And I make playmats and I'm actually getting commissions.

So what you guys are saying is that you like what makes every other competitive tcg fun, only you're basically playing the worst of them?

None of you mentioned a yugioh specific like.

I like playing fortune ladies because they are a fun deck with some silly little combos that can be frustrating for other people. I like playing against Inzektors because of that feeling you get when you shut down dragonfly or hornet nonsense. I like playing against chaos dragons because my deck has some funny burn options (quite literally: I side Fortune Lady Fire) that can shut big dragons down PLUS the banish power I have. I mean, I don't often win against big decks, but my deck puts up a fighting chance, especially if i'm on my A game and i'm catching options.

I like how spellbooks are looking.

I love all of the different archetypes and the interesting art (some of the time) that goes along with stuff like lavals, gustos, etc.

Is that enough?

For every dumb FTK, I do get a nice 1 for 1 duel nowadays.

I love WATER cards. Yugioh isn't as deathly serious as Magic and isn't as kiddie as Pokemon. I love that I can fight against armies of dragons and robots with beautiful and funny Fish cards.

Mermails and Atlanteans are new and exciting too. :O

I like the game mechanics. I play the game because I enjoy the actual game. What's so hard to understand? That people have different taste?

You don't really give any solid arguments besides "NO U" so... This is the last post I'm going to really respond to. If you don't like the game, then don't post in this thread.

I was letting the other posts slide because they were more reasonable (as in, stating that he disliked the butcher job in 2011 then asking for more specific, yugioh-centric answers), but no, that won't cut it.

Let it go, Ruby.

^ that (well what vyke said because Werekill is a ****ing ninja)

No need for your petty bull**** here, Ruby. We all have opinions, but once you go around forcing them on others, that's when there's a problem.

Here's a better discussion!

What do you all want to see happen with the September Banlist? It's right around the corner, so this is relevant. I remember sitting with friends when the March Banlist came up on Shriek and we were flipping ****, it's hard to believe I've almost accepted how bad this banlist is now.
