Draw your sword Sairento. We strike at the break of dawn.

Doin' alright Ed. People here in town are slowly dragging me back into Melee and have even managed to get me to play Project M. I'm not half bad at them apparently. I managed to hit 3rd and 2nd in my city's PR for both games after my first tournament, so I'll give both a shot again and see where that takes me.

Still playing Brawl, but it's kinda tough to keep up with it since the scene here in my city has evaporated. A lot of key players are gone, and the ones left just lack the means to get around, so it's tough.

I also lost my car, and I was one of the more reliable taxis here, so that's another pain in the ass that I need to deal with. Once I get a job I can start working on a way to grab it again.

Ups and downs. Mostly downs, but those make the ups nice.
And what curve balls, if any, has life bestowed upon you, sir?

Woah, I said San Antonio's BRAWL scene was tapering out. Houston and Dallas seem somewhat stable, even though Xyro ain't hosting anything until four I believe. Denti's group is still hosting, as well as other smaller cities around.

We just discovered a large group of Brawl players recently here in town too. As far as SA's concerned, Melee is still booming, and College Station has plenty of Project Mers in the area.

It's just my city's Brawl scene that's suffering, as far as I'm aware. :applejack:

Shame to beat about your even and your car bro. Gotta be a pain to do things. Pretty neat to hear you picked both of those games up, if nothing else, it'll keep your hands warm definitely for brawl if you keep it going. You heading to Apex?!

Also, ruptured my Achilles' tendon for my curveball. Lame! Came when I was looking for work so, worst timing lol. Gonna survive, just gotta keep my head screwed on lol.

I'm broke, and my family put me in the red on my bank accounts, so I have negative money to my name. Needless to say, APEX is a no-go.

It's not a big loss. The one Apex I went to was a disaster, and I had nothing but regret for going to it.

To be fair though, I'm still living under their roof, but... yeah. :applejack:

You know what is worse?
Not getting paid for a 6-week job because "we didn't reach the goal".

It was a Market Study where we had to make surveys (that lasted like at least 45 mins, 60 average, and like two hours sometimes). We had to make 800 of them, but a lot of people here are so scared because our country recently went through some Personal Info leaking, so it was pretty difficult.
We had 6 weeks to finish (the period ended this last Sunday) but we only completed like 250.

Then they told us they would give us another 3 weeks to complete the goal (of at least 500), but none of us had the will to continue (not even our supervisor).
And they haven't even called us back in the whole week....
I'll wait at least until this sunday, if we don't get even a call we'll start our counterstrike....

I didn't want to get anyone down but since the thread's going this way:

Yeah my State had a 500 year flood, my place got flooded, had to bail water, pump it, put furniture on big flat rocks to dry once the water was out (after several days), move everything to one side of the apt, pull carpet up, move it to the other half of the rooms, pull the rest of the carpet up, box everything because they had to replace the floor and drywall but FEMA said the places were livable, sleep on cement several nights, get movers to put stuff in storage, stay in a hotel (including dragging my cat around) for 3 days, came back and little work was done (even though they projected about 4 days) so we find another hotel (repeat 4 times), find out FEMA would only cover the first hotel even though everyone couldn't move back into our homes, Yeah moving and hotels are expensive so my mom and I are 4 grand in the red (together). Unpacked some stuff, THEN a new apartment complex owner raises the rent and we have to move AGAIN by April and there aren't many places around since the flood and I'm looking after my mom and grandma and need to be close. If they had told us we had to move before we moved EVERYTHING back at least FEMA would have paid for that.

You go through life, don't drink or do drugs, try to find several sources of income, get good grades, take care of people, stay out of debt, and end up $4,000 in the red. You can't ****ing keep your head above water.

That's awful Kyo, sorry to hear that. The job market is so ****ed right now, it's disgusting.

EDIT: You too Rizen, I feel for you. :( Keep your head up guys.

I try to avoid job-related Reddit threads. They get insanely depressing the longer you stay in them.

@Rizen: Yeah, I can relate to you. Be nice and do good all of your life, do everything you can as properly as you can, and the world still decides to **** on you because you happened to be the point the roulette's needle landed on. :applejack:

I myself am not allergic to cats, but two members of my family are, so I've never owned one.

I've wondered what it would be like to have a cat though, any owners here wanna share? :)

EDIT; Oh yeah, so I found this picture that somewhat sums up the Ice climber matchup.

... Did I win? :awesome:

I would have a cat if i had my own place, i like how they are mostly independent creatures. so instead i just drawn them because cats make great artwork.

I'm not the biggest Lady Gaga fan. I like some of her stuff.
Cats are cute. My cat walked over me when I was trying to do the Twilight Princess Snow Peak Yeti race. Cats have a 6th sense for knowing the worst time to bug you.

Gaga's a mess, but occasionally her songs are catchy. Although I can't hear "Applause" in my head without thinking of the hamster car commercial.

Media brainwashing at its finest.

I don't like Lady Gaga at all. Music and such. (Sorry and no offense to anyone that does like her.) I don't know what Cats see when they glare at me. They always do one of the following though...

1) Walk around my leg with their body touching my leg.
2) They'll lay down next to me.
3) Very randomly will jump onto my lap and lay down if I'm sitting down.

There's no need to apologize for having different tastes in music or anything ;)

Cats are weird. As my mom pointed out at some time, cats are the one animal that will scratch at the door to go outside just so they can look back inside through a window.

Edit, got a letter from FEMA: appeal denied. No news is good news.

Remember my Market Study? It was precisely about that (Media, Preferences, how much attention we put on advertisements, consuming habits, used services, etc etc etc)
