I find it weirdly funny that the character in the Alberquerque music video is called "Miracle Machine". Someone drew a Homestar Runner fusion of Fry Futurama and Earthworm Jim, gave him Weird Al's voice, and decided to give him a dark-biblical fantasy golem name.

Years later and I stand by it: "Scrimblo" is legitimately useful terminology. "Mascot" implies privelege that rarely exists, and "cartoony character" is far too long and argually encompases some characters who exist a little too far away in the style spectrum (would a human Disney renaissance character count as "cartoony"? They're not a scrimblo either way.)
