G-Force is the movie that made me realise movies can be bad, I think I've said this before, but Bee Movie was the first movie that made me realise movies can be entertaining but have extremely annoying flaws, which might be even more depressing.

(for reference, that flaw was Honex saying they'll "work Barry to death" but Barry and Adam working for them being the happy ending)

I recently found out that Disney owns the cartoon "Crusader Rabbit", the literal first television cartoon, through Fox and apparently they just... don't know, or at least don't care? It's not on Disney+, and the only time Disney has ever used him was as a Funko Pop in 2020, probably a pre-buyout holdover. Like, wouldn't that be the perfect character for Disney to use for pre-nostalgia-zone merch aimed at history buffs like they do Oswald and, in the parks, Gertie the Dinosaur?

I really hope crossover skins like MVS' Matrix/Jason mask skins catch on in platform fighters. As a guy who chooses characters based on function instead of emotional attachment, a skin for Donatello where he has a Rocko shirt or Marth with a Duck Hunt mask would be a godsend.

I'm not saying these are valid substitutes for a new game, but it's really weird how Donkey Kong (particularly Country) fans will say "We're so starved!" when they've got a major role in one of the highest grossing movies of the year, and basically the biggest signifier of cultural relevance (sans Avatar): a devoted, major theme park land.

I may have a go at writing the Smash Ballot article, that being said, certainly not yet, and I also am struggling to think how to talk about this subject to a slightly larger audience, some of whom probably will have never as much as considered the idea of the ballot being bad, without coming off as vindictive or judgemental and without criticising any specific character picks (I will absolutely discuss the Banjo-Geno/Chief-Sephiroth disparity, which being neutral about is gonna be EXTREMELY difficult). It also might depend a bit on the nature of the application, I don't want to be giving away my email address or such.

I had always heard about the "AVGN scandal" and the TheCinemassacreTruth subreddit, and had always been a bit skeptical but never looked into it, so after watching a bit of the Dan Olsen video, noticing how mundane and trivial his criticisms (if that) of Rolfe were and how the comments were ragging on the subreddit, I decided to check out said subreddit... uhh, so all they did, all this time, was just insult Rolfe's appearance???? THAT'S IT???? it feels like this subreddit was pre-emptively made while waiting for a non-existant scandal to happen.

If copyright still had to be manually renewed after 28 years, I'm not 100% confident that Nintendo would let its wacky So Obscure IPs like Stunt Race FX or Mole Mania or whatever become public domain - HOWEVER, there is no way this guy would still be copyrighted (at least in the US) post-2021.
