Thinking about doctors in Smash more, I think the best doctor clone choice is actually Dr. Diddy Kong. Like, imagine a slow, powerful, heavyweight Diddy, and instead of banana peels he throws edible healing bananas as bait. Megavitamin-coloured peanuts would be cute too.

I think part of the reason I can give NASB1 more leeway on prop moves than Smash, aside from it starring cartoons, is because NASB1 is clearly meant to be - to some extent - a "training wheels" game, meant to introduce kids to how platform fighters work, and to me, Mr. Game & Watch and Villager were both instrumental in introducing me to how platfighters work because I could clearly figure out which button does "the key" or "the turnips" compared to punches and kicks.

i have a habit of clicking youtube recommendations of songs i clearly know i hate repeatedly, and currently it's "earth" by lil richardy, which is one the worst songs ever bar none, and thankfully that one opens with a fake news report about wildfires so i can get off before i can see and hear the type speciment for all faux-pixar ai models.
I don't like the MVS Shaggy moveset less because of the meme and more because it feels like they tried to awkwardly fuse together the meme and actual Scooby-Doo stuff and it just really comes off as incoherent. I think they should've gone to one extreme or the other, with the meme being my personal preferance since MVS is so dialog-based and you can do all the personality compensation there, while all the mystery stuff has 4 whole other characters to give to, and one who can get the snack stuff too.
I was making a roster for a Sonic fighting game, but in a timeline where the public domain works as intended, but ALSO Sonic 2 only just became PD so I can't use Knuckles/Amy/most of SatAM's cast, and scrapped it for one reason: I realised that in this timeline, I could put Darkwing Duck in a Sonic game, and I had to step away because that was just too cool to handle. You may not believe it, but I suffer from overwhelming copyright cognitivie dissonance too.

I think a lot of people put way too much stock in the "quality" of a game/movie/TV show so on when talking about... literally anything about the work other than its quality.

I like that Garfield and TMNT are in the NASBs, IMO there isn't really much difference between "acquired IP" and "homegrown IP" since ultimately they were made by artists who can leave or go at any time - but... Ice Age in Disney Magic Kingdoms feels like an actual sin against nature

Idea for an unlockable system in a multiplayer game:
Every few matches (number would likely have to depend on the unlockable-to-starter content ratio) a dialog box pops up and lets you select one of 3 unlock options, and the winner gets to pick. RNG picks if a CPU wins.
