I wouldn't mind actually seeing Fox vs Pikachu. I hear it's all doom and death but it'd be fun to watch.

Against Pika, Fox will get comboed to pretty obscene %s from a single grab.

Aside from that, the match is a fair one... Fox just has to not get grabbed...

Is it impossible? nah... just hard. very hard.

Fox can break out before he does in that vid, but it's still to somewhat like 70%... so yeah, pretty nuts.

Perfect SDI+Shine will get you out at 60%. But then you'll still eat an Dsmash/Usmash either way.

that too. its why Peach can CG him for a little while. which i think is silly. grab sit turn around and repeat to 30% then blast away.

Um...no one ever said you did? There's no reason to SPAM lasers unless your opponent sucks horribly, and true, you don't need lasers to win.

But then again, you also don't need jab, grab, shield, Usmash, Utilt, Nair, Fair, Bair, Dair, or Dsmash. It just makes it easier to win. Durh.

the only reason i see to use the blaster is for recharging smashes or just camping for no reason

after i got out of camping faze i also only use the blaster really for recharging while my opponent respawns, shoot at ungimpables like G@W while they recover, or just randomly move away and shot a bit to remind people i still have a gun lol.

So... I'm going to C3 this weekend, playing Fox main. More than likely GnW off to fight my hard counters.

I did quite great at the last tourney with Fox. Ended up 5th out of a good 40 people.

Besides the reasons listed above lasers aren't that necessary, but they contribute to Fox's overall presence you know? SHDL are fun to do while you wait for opponents to come back on stage if you can't gimp them. Plus sometimes there just the little bit of pressure you need.

Attempting to replenish your moves is never a bad thing, use the laser whenever you have enough space. Most of the time you don't even have to approach your opponent and this is huge. The laser can be one of your best weapons.
