That's related to what i was trying to say earlier, for plenty of people smash bros is about the roster and the gameplay is a bonus, thus cuts can break the game for them doesn't matter what improvements there is, there's a reason why Ultimate Deluxe is a popular request, a lot of people don't care about the gameplay, stages, modes, items, new mechanics, reworks, new artstyle....they just want to see the roster grow with no cuts, whatsoever.
I'm on the Smash 6 side as i'm more of a gameplay guy, but people on the Smash 6 side needs to understand that not everyone cares about the series a fresh coat of paint every 6-7 years and just want to see the roster grow, people have diferent mindsets.
Same thing happened with Mario Kart, some people wanteed to stick with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and wanted to see the game expand, while others wanted to move on and have a coat of fresh paint with MK9.
