I'm more excited for that new Mario Kart than anything.

Smash can wait, I really look forward to seeing what new stuff the Mario Kart team has cooked up after we've been playing 8 for a decade.

No, because Ryu only moves from side to side in a two-player match, and Duck Hunt's side taunt is the dog's infamous laugh. So, from Mr. Fighting Game's point of view, that dang dog is literally laughing right in his face.

I'm picturing him having a life crisis when he realizes he's going over the crimes of an ordinary hunting dog and finding the biggest misdemeanor being....laughing at the player for failing.

Like you pick Botw link and he criticizes the design or you pick kirby and he tells yu he owns multiple plushies of him!
(Because Vsm is basically me and likes to break the fourth wall)

Man... I remember at the time I was so stupid. My 18 years old mind just didn't take the ballot seriously and voted for Miles Edgeworth just for the "lulz", even though I already knew back then that my most wanted character by far was Crash Bandicoot. I know its like just one vote but it still feels like a big punch on my face whenever I remember I did such a stupid thing.

If it makes you feel better 17 yo me voted for Vince from Art Academy, i really wanted another WTF Nintendo character like Wii Fit Trainer back then.
I used to joke that Vince got as an AT because Sakurai looked at my balloot request.
My most wanted was a Dragon Quest character so it doesn't really matter at the end of the day for me, but you're not the only one that voted someone that wasn't their most wanted.

They could adjust it. Nintendo and Sakurai has done it before. Just look at Krystal. Her outfit does look similar to Shantae, just she's an animal from a tribe.

In the next Smash, I want them to add some taunts that don't end as long as you hold the button.

Cute stuff like Banjo/Kazooie playing their instruments, Ice Climbers playing Rock Paper Scissors, etc.

If I could sit in the top right corner of Temple as Dark Samus and ominously glow for 3 minutes straight while I watch everyone else below fight each other, that'd be a match I'd remember for months to come.

Imagine they make nods to both Birthright and Conquest through M!Corrin and F!Corrin, where Phoenix looks through Birthright for M!Corrin and looks through Conquest for F!Corrin, as how they were based around in the marketing.

For what it's worth I think some games depict Shantae's pants as semi-transparent, though like others have said, there's only so far Smash can take that aspect before CERO starts giving them the side eye. Granted, they have gotten away with stuff like Zero Suit Samus, Bayonetta, and Krystal, so who knows how CERO's thought process works.

What I'd like to see though, is some smooth smear frames on those pants if they give her a kick attack. It's really satisfying seeing them use the character's costuming like that, and it's one of my favorite aspects of Jack-O's animation. It probably wouldn't be quite as prominent on Shantae since her main attack is whipping her hair back and forth, but it would still be a super fun detail.

Considering Tharja wears something similar, and her Trophy was cut from Smash 4, I'm guessing that'd be a no.

Not to mention, Shantae's pants aren't actually like that. So I don't know why Nintendo would make her less accurate to make her MORE risqué.

So it looks like Minecraft is getting a visual update. I wonder if this means that the Minecraft World stage will look very different in future games.

At the very least, we're getting warm and cold variants of the farm animals (minus sheep), so the variants that have those animals in the background will potentially have different looking cows, pigs, and chickens.

I don't think it really means anything for Smash.
Speaking of Minecraft. I do think it's posible Minecraft World might not return and we get The Nether as a new Minecraft stage instead.
Melee, Brawl and Smash 4 gave each series a new stage (except Gyromite for some reason), so who knows.

She did have moves in her first game after buying gear in Water Town. She doesn't need to use Pirate Gear to fight. I have seen SSB Crusade done a good job to give shantae a moveset and transformation (I feel like the Final Smash could be better then the dance mini game from the GBC). Though, I don't know if the Switch 2 system can handle 8 versions of that.

Still, I like talking about costumes and there are some similar costumes that could maybe be possible for the existing cast. The following could join s beach ready gang:

the swim trunks from Odyssey.
unarmored, if we stick with BotW/TotK
the swim trunks from the Awakening DLC.

Surprisingly, despite there being several male swimsuit units in Heroes, none of characters in Smash have any (unless I somehow missed them.) Not even Chrom who has one in his own game.

And if any character is going to actually straight up have underwear as a costume, then they need to add Arthur from Ghosts n' Goblins.
