Mother Mansion

Chance: 0.1%

Yeah there’s too many logistical issues with this stage for it to even be a viable choice. Most of which being issues with getting the likenesses of the various contestants and the core premise of the show not meshing well with the rest of the cast. I’m sure they can just include the titular Manor without any background cameos or just make up their own MILF Manor OCs to put in the background, but it wouldn’t be the same without the iconic cast of characters. There’s also the issue that the owners of the more child-friendly IP likely aren’t gonna be too happy with having their characters duke it out on a stage called MILF Manor. There’s rumblings that the reason Walter White can’t happen is because of his association with drugs conflicting with the image of the kid-friendly franchises, and if that is to be believed, then I can see them having similar issues with the NSFW implications of MILF Manor.

And even ignoring all of those issues, what market are they hoping to reach? I don’t wanna make too many assumptions, but I doubt my 50 year old mother who still pays for cable and consistently watches TLC is going to start hopping onto Multiversus because they added a MILF Manor stage. There’s virtually no overlap between the target demographic of Multiversus and your average TLC viewer, so it really doesn’t make sense to try and reach a market that still calls every video game console a Nintendo.

Want : 100%

Okay but… what, and I cannot stress this enough, if.

Yeah this is another one of those “yeah this would objectively kinda suck and not make any sense, but it would be really ****ing funny” picks for me. Not just the concept of having some random real-life mansion in Mexico, but also the concept of it being themed around a trashy TLC reality show about MILFs. Just the idea of some WBD exec going up to the Multiversus devs and being like “okay we have this new show called MILF Manor to promote and we want you to put it in as a stage” is enough to give me a pretty good chuckle. Plus, I can’t think of a better way to represent the current state of WBD than by adding content from a bottom of the barrel reality TV show before the thousands of other iconic scripted series that WB has the rights to. That really good show or movie you were excited for that got cancelled for tax money? **** that ****, it’s all about MILF ****ING MANOR BABY, LET’S GO MILFS!!!!!!

Fortnite

Alt Theme: Default Dance Sound(The Meme)

50%: Dahhhhh.......FORTNITE
(Is this joke appropriate to use?)

Ahem anyways, Fortnite, the online battle royale game made by EPIC Games released back in July 21st of 2017, fortnite is game were you are put to an island to build yourself stuff by breaking scraps while also killing other teammates who your face against, you are also down to a time limit that decreases alongside a barrier that gets smaller & smaller until your forced down to who the last will be, if you leave said barrier you will die in a matter of seconds.

Buuuuuuut apparently fortnite has changed a little since then such as adding in fishing and missions aswell which leaves me a little surprised at the game suddenly adding and changing stuff in it.

Fortnite is popular and is pretty infamous for it's number of crossovers were they bring in characters & references to movies, shows, video games, anime nowadays, brands, and even celebrities, Even some of WB's properties have come across the world of fortnite such as DC, Rick & Morty, Dune, Space Jam(Only with the jerseys and lebron), and probably more(but sadly cartoon network's not in that list), so maybe potentially warner could offer something in return to EPIC for all there collabs that they've done in the past.

Although, as people here have pointed out here there's the possibility of EPIC not wanting to participate mostly based on not having any crossovers with other media beside Marvel with Avengers: Endgame but there are references of fortnite in other places such as Saturday Night Live, South Park, and one of Warners own properties The Big Bang Theory showing that they've used fortnite for something before, another factor against fortnite is where the warner brothers gaming director is standing with 3rd parties chances in the game fortnite may have trouble coming to multiversus anytime soon.

30%: I didn't get into fortnite back then nor did i want to jump into the trend at all, i simply played the game ONCE and then never played gain plus uninstall it from my switch after that.

But i feel fortnite would be an acceptional choice for multiversus if they were to put it in the game, warner has worked with EPIC on the games before so it'd make sense as for what i see working i say Jonsey with some of the characters as alternate costumes such as Ramirez, Spitfire, Penny, The Cuddle Team, & Peely and a stage based on the battlefield from Fortnite or ontop of the Battle Bus.

Milf Manor
Abstain: I thought this show as porn but then i heard it's not and yet the concept itself feels weird on the outside, i don't know what to judge the show unless i watch it so i'll abstain for now until i can give myself the idea to rate it.

Gotta be real - when this concept was being nominated I thought it was either some really weird ironic Adult Swim thing or a literal porn thing (The Cracked to Playboy's MAD?) - this truth would be horrific if I weren't already aware of "I Wanna Marry Harry". I don't necesarily think there's no audience overlap, or even little, but at the same time the percentage of MVS fandom who would be put off by the title alone is likely much bigger. I can't really imagine WBD wanting to push this specific IP, even if they wanted an IP from the Discovery side implimented, and if they did I have enough... optimism? to say PFG would (and could) say no.

Want: 50%
OK, this is a really dumb reason, even moreso than the other reasons given, but... what are they going to call it on censor mode? "Mother Manor"?, "The Manor"? "MILL Manor"? That alone would make this a wonderful inclusion. Plus it is kind of a pretty location, regardless of the none-too-pretty subject matter, and I agree with the whole "Lone Ranger in Disney Infinity" time capsule angle proposed by Opossum Opossum .

I cannot wait for the inevitable battle passes that include **** like Godzilla and Gundam (or maybe they already did, I don't follow the game at all)

Chance: 25%

Let's get this out of the way: Fortnite is a sensation. Everyone knows what Fortnite is and it's a major factor for the industry's shift toward battle royales. To say that it's massive would be an understatement. Not only that, but WB is involved because apparently they distribute special physical editions of the game (Why do those exist for FTP games again?). Plus they have some of their IPs in the game so there is a pretty good connection. I imagine WB might see the potential in retrieving a character from one of the biggest games in recent years to strengthen their relationship with the brand and parent company.

The big question here is would Epic be chill with putting their characters in another game? This may seem like an obvious question considering the nature of their own game but to my knowledge they haven't authorized their original characters to be used in another game yet. I don't see why not but it's something to consider. But overall I think this genuinely has a good shot of happening, especially since some of the characters like Jonesy are fairly recognizable at this point.

Want: 50%

I'm neutral on Fortnite. I don't play it as I struggle to get into battle royales (and online competitive games in general) even though it's a really cool genre. Also, I find the game to be straight up cringe at times (Naruto doing the default dance while wearing an Among Us hat for example). But I don't have anything against the game so if it gets in, it's whatever to me.

Now onto something different....

Chance: 0.01%

Unless if the team collectivity thinks this is ironically a brilliant idea like we do, it's a pipe dream. We meme on this but in reality it's just a throw away show meant to appeal to an audience who likely has zero interest in MultiVersus. Plus it gets really shaky when you think about how to implement this. If they want cameos from characters in the show, those are likeness fees they have to go through. If they do not want to bother with that then this is essentially just a random resort house, meaning there's no point. Either way you slice this it ain't happening.

Want: 25%

I hear all your opinions so I understand the appeal of this and yes it'd be very funny in an ironic, state-of-the-company way. But for me the joke would get old fast and I'd just prefer them to make stages for actual good shows that perhaps don't have the best fighter potential.

Thank God I didn't miss this day.

Fortnite

Chance: 5%

Fortnite was actually a topic I considered writing in-depth about back in the Smash Ultimate Days. I believe I wrote a short snippet on Jonesy at one point, but not any further. Of course, revisiting that wouldn't be worth much for this, as Fortnite has since evolved into even more of a cultural juggernaut than it once was. While prominent players like Ninja have largely faded into obscurity, the Fortnite machine keeps churning out new content in the form of seasons, costumes, and events among others (and Among Us, which they added...I think. I know they recently added Mr. Beast).

All that being said, I doubt Fortnite has a significant chance at getting into Multiversus. The fact of the matter is that any Fortnite character has a long line of iconic and popular characters from other Warner Bros. properties and Warner Bros. adjacent properties, and that line is long. So I can't see a Fortnite character getting in anytime soon.

Want: 1%
It'd be funny...I guess. I'd sooner get like, Johnny Bravo, Fred Flinstone, the Power Puff Girls, the Teen Titans, Jotaro Kujo, Homura, Samurai Jack, etc. etc. etc. etc. The point is, I too have a long line of characters I'd rather see before Fortnite. So no, I don't really want Fortnite in Multiversus.

MILF Manor

Chance: 0.01%

There is, realistically, no chance MILF Manor is ever represented in Multiversus. In fact, I'd be surprised if MILF Manor has any staying power whatsoever, whether that be in the form of a second season or any references after its syndication ends. At its core, MILF Manor is a gimmick dating show, notable only for its bold challenge of our society's Puritanical values, and I expect it to be remembered only for how ridiculous it was in its short runtime.

That being said, I would say nothing is impossible, and just like it's possible for the Sun to spontaneously go supernova and wipe out humanity in 8 minutes' time, it is possible for MILF Manor to be represented in Multiversus in some form. I wouldn't count on it any time soon though.

Want: 101%
I'm personally of the camp that MILF Manor is an incredibly humorous, if not trashy, show and its existence is more than warranted in today's society. I would even call MILF Manor an important television show, as it is the logical extreme of the trashy, raunchy reality tv show format that originated with shows like The Jersey Shore and The Real Housewives.

If you think about it, MILF Manor is perhaps a form of retribution for our hubris as humans. We've indulged ourselves on shows like the Bachelor and Love Island and Big Brother and, seeing the popularity of those shows, MILF Manor came from the depths of hell as the most extreme, absurd, and taboo version of those shows.

We have no one but ourselves to blame for the creation of the abomination that is MILF Manor, and I think there's something to be said for that. In fact, I'd say it deserves to be represented in Multiversus for that. MILF Manor somehow getting recognition in spite of what it is, or perhaps in commemoration for what it is, would make it a highlight of the game for sure.

Or perhaps, more simply, it'd be REALLY funny.

Chance: 7% (Or in American terms, half a fortnight.)
While its reputation among the gaming landscape is not too desirable, I'm giving it more than five percent because it's Fortnite. One of the most memorable modern mainstream games out there. And it has so many crossovers through guest costumes that getting Jonesy in MultiVersus would be a natural conclusion at some point. Plus, if there's nothing else, we can give him the outfits of various requested newcomers, just for the representation.

Want: 15%
Personally, I have never played Fortnite at all. Despite that? My interest would be piqued at his reveal, but then I'd go right back to playing as Shaggy, Bugs, or The Iron Giant. Actual cartoon characters. Sorry to the Fortnite fandom, but it's just not for me.

Not only are there better characters and shows to pull out the "promotional stunt" card on, but I can sum up my thoughts on this with just two words.

Hell. No.

If I wanted ANY reality TV content in MultiVersus, which I don't after what Zazlav did to the Looney Tunes, I would maybe allow Andrew WK a spot due to CN Real and Destroy Build Destroy. But that's it. And people already hate CN Real to begin with, so that limits WK's chances to a very small degree.

But MILF Manor? Why would that deserve to be in MultiVersus at all? Pardon my language, but get this show off this forum before it spreads.

MILF MANSION

Chance - 0.01%. I can't say anything that furthers the bit, so i'm going to play this straight. there is no reason on this god forsaken planet that they would add content from MILF Mansion. I've nominated concepts from the discovery side of the company before, but Guy Fieri or Animal Planet are a lot more... appropriate. Not even in the "the title of the show is a porn acronym" way, but in the "i would be interested in seeing this in a fighting game" way. Unless Tony finds out the game is going down and wants to Forest Gump 2 it all... i can't see it happening.

Want - 100%. It would be funny. I'm more of a "Twink Tower" kind of guy, but i can appreciate a good milf (

). More than wanting to see the milf mansion in the game, i want to see the milf mansion breaking into the top 10 MWs in this thread - im doing my part.

FORTNITE

Chance - 30%. This is an interesting one. Fortnite is a big game, which does a lot of crossovers - including Warner properties. When it comes to characters in this game, all five of the DC characters, Rick, Morty, and Lebron (in Space Jam mode) all have skins, with there having been a DUNE crossover and additional DC/R&M characters as well. The tricky thing is that, despite the huge number of "internal" crossovers, there really aren't that many "external" Fortnite crossovers. Aside from the Endgame cameo, and a weak Destiny Collab, nothing original to Fortnite has cropped up outside of that ecosystem. Additionally, if i had to choose one major company that Fortnite would want to collaborate with, it would be Disney. If you consider Warner a constant collaborator with Fortnite, Disney (Especially Marvel) might as well be a double act. I do think that this is possible, mostly because of the cross promotion. While many MVS characters have Fortnite skins, not all of them do - while they add Jonesy or whatever to this game, they could easily make some money on the other side by greenlighting some skins (if I had to guess, they would add Shaggy, Garnet, Arya, and Jonesy in a Reindog outfit). There's also the factor where a Fortnite character, due to the game's nature, has a TON of moveset potential. I'm not going to lie, I've considered smash movesets for a few skins - there's a lot of potential there. All in all - maybe?

Want - 75%. Alright guys, i think it's time i'm honest with myself. I am... a fortnite player. I know, it's "cringe", but I enjoy the game. it's fun. it's drained my wallet more than i like. I wouldn't mind seeing it here. My biggest hold up is that putting Fortnite in here might negatively impact it's chances of getting in the next smash, (Geno is one of my most wanteds but not that Geno), but that's a whole different can of worms.

My nominations are going towards a spicy new concept. There's an incredibly influential American actor who has done a lot of content, especially for Warner, and I think he should be rewarded with a character. His roles include the beloved Joe Brady from Godzila and Dalton Trumbo from Trumbo. This means I am, of course, nominating "Concept: Character originally played by Bryan Cranston" x Max. This might lead to a situation where a hypothetical third party role that defines his career, people want in this game, and is not allowed to be directly nominated being the center of discussion, but aside from perhaps Hal from Malcolm in the Middle I can't think of any.

Fortnite itself does a lot of crossover including WB works which is a decent boost for their chances. The only issue they have is having not much content that isn't crossover related but I think there's enough original characters to pull it off though.

Day over.

Rate Cyborg from the DC Comics, as well as Sanda and/or Gaira from War of the Gargantuas.

Some videos to get into the badass cyborg mood:

And here are some videos to get into the mood for a kaiju war:

_________________________

“It lives up to the title. It’s more than a fight; it’s a war.” - James Rolfe

Chance: 5%

War of the Gargantuas is a 1966 kaiju film that is a sequel to Frankenstein Conquers The World (Where, yes, the Frankenstein monster is a giant creature, and he fights Baragon too). This film features two gargantuan Gargantuas (say that three times fast) named Sanda and Gaira who have clashing personalities. Sanda is relatively passive whereas Gaira actively attacks society and eats people, which causes a war to break out between them. Sanda is said to be the reincarnation of the Frankenstein monster while Gaira spawned from tissue cells from Sanda. So they are essentially brothers.

With that out the way, let’s talk in regards to the film’s legacy. It’s considered a classic in the kaiju genre and is beloved by many people. This includes famous filmmakers such as Tim Burton, Quentin Tarantino and Brad Pitt. Guillermo del Toro cited War of the Gargantuas as one of his top 5 favorite kaiju films and it served as an inspiration for his films like Pacific Rim. Michael Dougherty (director and co-writer of Godzilla King of the Monsters 2019) is also a fan and has expressed interest in adapting the Gargantuas to the MonsterVerse. Oh yeah, and there is the Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated episode “Battle of the Humungonauts” which is a big tribute to the film. Needless to say, War of the Gargantuas has a certain magic to it that made it stand out among its brethren.

The question is: Does the duo of Sanda and Gaira have a gargantuan chance of making it to MultiVersus? Not exactly. Despite the film’s legacy, it’s still not a very marketable product these days. Aside from Michael Dougherty’s comment mentioned above there is currently no known talks of bringing the Gargantuas to the modern age. It also doesn’t help that Warner Bros doesn’t own the rights to them. To my knowledge Maron Films owns the film rights in the U.S while Toho has the film rights in Japan. WB just has the rights to stream the movie on HBO Max. Now I don’t have their streaming service so I’m not sure how much they advertise the film but either way it’s not a very strong connection.

Still, it’s not completely hopeless. Again the film has a following so if more kaiju get into the game I can see their demand rise.

Want: 100%

War of the Gargantuas is not one of my favorite kaiju films but it’s a fun ride. For one I enjoy the drama stemming from the fact that a passive monster is coexisting with a hostile kaiju that looks almost identical to it. Which leads the military to attack both. This gives the story a pinch of tragedy and more depth compared to your typical kaiju film. Other than that, It’s a good ol’ kaiju film brimming with great special effects and when the Gargantuas duke it out it’s a sight to behold. It’s a solid recommendation for anyone who digs the genre.

And as always, I welcome giant monsters into my video games. I want this game to get to the point where The Iron Giant can team up with a Gargantua to fight Godzilla and Kong.

A well-known DC character who benefits from being both a Teen TItans member and a Justice League member. Right now there isn't anything pointing to him being added anytime soon but assuming this game manages to stay alive for at least a couple years I can see him be included eventually.

Want: 90%

Like I said on Flash''s day, these big DC characters aren't super exciting additions due to them being in plenty of fighting games. But MultiVersus has different game mechanics from the typical fighters so I can see them doing some creative stuff with these characters. Plus Cyborg gets some brownie points from me because of A. Having a great design and 2. Nostalgia of the original Teen Titans show.

Cyborg is a DC superhero who has been both a Teen Titan and a Justice League member throughout comic book history. While he first appeared in 1980, it was as a main character in the 2003 Teen Titans animated series where he really began his surge in popularity and public appearances. In fact, since the 2000s, he has appeared in TV shows, films, and video games like crazy. He even nearly got his own live-action movie made, before everything went down the drain at DC Entertainment.

With that said, while I do consider him a good candidate for a spot, I do not consider him all that likely. Let's get Robin and Raven in the game first, at least as far as Teen Titans representatives are concerned. And when the greater DC multiverse is put at stake, we still don't have Aquaman, Green Lantern, The Flash, or Shazam yet, plus countless other heroes and villains that could make it in.

Want: 50%
I'll admit that this high score is mainly because I want the Teen Titans fans to be thrown a bone after a decade of mocking something that's under their age range. But that's for another time. From a personal standpoint, I'm on the fence about Cyborg. On the one hand, I like the guy, and he could easily have a good moveset. On the other hand, there are more famous DC Comics stars not in yet, meaning our favorite African-American AI probably won't make it in MultiVersus any time soon.

But who knows? Now that James Gunn has revitalized DC as we know it, we may see that brand as this game's Fire Emblem counterpart, for better and for worse.

Sanda and Gaira
Chances: 2%
If Cyborg isn't a likely candidate by DC standards, then these two just aren't likely, period. If it was up to me, I'd have Godzilla, King Kong, and Mothra, and maybe a Rampage rep for good measure. That would be it for the kaiju representation in MultiVersus, and honestly, that's all that's needed.

Want: 0%
I'm not a kaiju fan. Plain and simple. Read my chance rating for them if you want to know who I'd want for Japanese monster mashups. Spoilers, but these two are nowhere near that list. It's just business as usual.

Who is this and what is their connection to Warner Bros?

Also for the record everyone starts with 10 noms automatically so you can edit your noms to reflect that.
Lum Invader is the mascot of Urusei Yatsura, and the 1981 anime was released on Blu-Ray by WB in Japan one time.
Click the first link to know what Urusei Yatsura is, and click the second to know about her connections to Warner Bros.

Oh, and thanks for telling me 10 noms is the new default.

In my opinion, the only thing that would prevent Cyborg from getting in eventually is the game ending service. He's a popular, iconic character, and one that DC has more recently pushed to the spotlight more in the past decade. His Boom Tubes also fit in very well as team support in a game built around teams, so that may help him in comparison to the rest of the Justice League. And if we take datamines into account, Raven should be coming down the line, so he could also get in in his Teen Titans design, offering another avenue for inclusion.

Want: 100%

I love Cyborg. He's just such an enjoyable, and decidedly human, DC superhero. And that makes it all the more tragic how horribly Ray Fisher was treated by the DCEU. But Cyborg in this game would be great. And he could get skins based off the comics, Teen Titans, and the DC Animated films, so there are quite a few to pick from.

Victor's chances are both held back and boosted by his famous memberships, imo. He's a popular character for sure and has a significant history with two big groups, Justice League and Teen Titans. However, he faces some notable competition in both of them. So even if he's considered, it might take a while for him to be prioritized by the dev team, unless they specifically choose him for his abilities.

I think it helps that Cyborg has a wide arsenal of abilities and wouldn't clash with anyone in the existing roster, unlike say, Robin.

Want: 85%

Cyborg is one of my favorite Titans and definitely the one I'm interested in seeing in this game the most. I'm decidedly less knowledgeable and hence interested in his portrayals other than the 2003 cartoon but he would be a fun and sensible addition either way.

"Boo-Yah!"
Cyborg
His Theme: Teen Titans GO!(The Original Theme Song)/The Cyborg Version
Alt Theme: The Night Begins to Shine from "You Know Who"

60%: Cyborg is one of the most well known and popular character from The DC Universe, He was once human who turned into a cyborg after an incident happened with a blog that wounded up killing his mother & his father having to save his life by turning him into who he is now, cyborg would become a superhero by joining the teen titans then would later move up to the justice league.

Cyborg has appeared in a lot of media more notably the teen titans tv show, receiving his blue & grey colored appearance and his iconic "Boo-Yah!" line. He also appeared in the DC Cinematic Universe, The Now Accepted Yet Still Infamous to others Teen Titans GO!, The LEGO Justice League Movies, Doom Patrol, and many other media with the DC Heroes in it.

Despite his popularity, cyborg isn't in the same row as some of the other heroes who are asked a lot more having more of a vocal support to getting into multiversus aswell as whatever film's coming that gives one of the dc characters a good chance of appearing.

I don't think his chances are low though, i think cyborg's in a good spot were he would be a good choice to add & people would be wanting to see him more from his appearance from teen titans to his personality & fighting style that could lend itself well, cause if there's a fighter who's good for one cool brawler slash shooter type then that's cyborg!

Um, this might suck for those are reading this

70%: My first exposure to cyborg was with the original teen titans and back then i always thought he was better with the titans, i remember liking cyborg for his color since i like blue however i've come to like him a little more as a cool character mostly for his catchphrases and maybe from the way he fights.
One highlight i like from cyborg is from the teen titans episode "Car Trouble" were his car gets taken over by the overload & cyborg says "It's not my car anymore" then shoots the overload, that might actually be one of the coolest moments i've ever seen him do.

I think he'd be cool in Multiversus, probably cause i like him and he would well in the game.

Sure, A Clockwork Orange appeared in Space Jam 2 over Pepe Le Pew. That joke's been done three-quarters to death at this rate.

But is Alex DeLarge likely to get in despite that representation? Honestly, no. He's not that high up the totem pole of requests, and even if we take Space Jam 2 into account, there's Pennywise, The Mask, and King Kong, among countless other cameos. He ain't special.

Want: 25%
I have no actual knowledge of that movie. I know it exists through cultural osmosis, if anything. But I have no real need or want to see Alex DeLarge in the game. It would be funny for the first day, at least.

Archie's Weird Mysteries: The Gritty Reboot
Chance: 35%
Despite the show ending relatively soon, its fanbase is what truly keeps this show around, which explains why it has lasted THIS long on the air.

But there's one more problem, and this is a big one: Warner Bros. Discovery does not own Archie Comics, nor the town of Riverdale. Does this mean they can't negotiate some association with the CW drama in MultiVersus? No, but it would be hard to justify it over the original comics.

Want: 60%
The further down the Riverdale rabbit hole you go, the more moveset potential you can come across. Usually by accident and by happenstance, but that's another story. And even though the most I've seen of this show are the Alex Meyers reviews of each season, that's enough to make me want a rep for the lulz.

But I've always preferred the mainline Archie universe over the Riverdale kind, as cheesy as it is.

On an unrelated note, we're not predicting the next character?

The Titular Clockwork Orange

Chance: 1%

A Clockwork Orange was, and still is, a very controversial film for its portrayal of violent acts. Just from association alone and the fact that including Alex in a fighting game would involve direct references to said controversial elements, I feel like there's a very solid case for this not happening. The film has become regarded as a classic, but it's different from including say Kane or Sam Spade given the subject matter. Even if Little Timmy wouldn't really appreciate Citizen Kane, his inclusion would be harmless. The titular Orange showing up in a major role like this is a risk that they would most assuredly not be willing to take. Really, the only thing he has in his favor is the undeniably funny Space Jam 2 cameo, which yes, is a family film, but that's a blink and miss it moment instead of, well, a full playable character that would require references to graphic scenes to be an accurate portrayal. Really, the only fighting game the Orange should be in is Mortal Kombat and even then it'd still feel in poor taste.

Want: 30%

It would be funny seeing this guy in a crossover again. The Space Jam stuff was really silly, but given the content and message, definitely should not happen. He would unquestionably have The Kubrick Stare as a taunt or win animation though, and that scores some points. This film was the codifier for the Stare.

Abstaining on Riverdale because I just don't know enough about it to say anything well thought, but everything I hear about this show is nuts so there's definitely some potential.

Abstaining on the titular Clockwork Orange because I'm not cultured enough to say anything thoughtful on his inclusion, so how about we just skip to the shlock?

The Epic Highs and Lows of Multiversus

Chance: 20%

So Riverdale is actually a pretty interesting case to analyze. On one hand, the show is insanely popular among the CW's viewerbase. If it weren't, it wouldn't have lasted for seven seasons and it certainly wouldn't have stuck around in the public discourse for as long as it has. It's probably up there with Supernatural as one of the network's biggest hits. And with the show's final season set to air this year, I can't think of a better time to capitalize on the hype than now. That being said, Riverdale's inclusion would definitely be controversial amongst the playerbase. Although the show is popular and has its fair share of genuine fans, it seems to have almost an equal amount of ironic viewers who are purely watching to see a trainwreck unfold. There's also a large section of people who absolutely detest the show and everything it stand for, whether that be Archie fans who dislike how it handles the characters or people who just think it's not a very good show. From what I could tell, there's no general consensus on the show's quality, and I can totally see that dissuading the Multiversus team from adding any Riverdale content. There's also the issue of whether or not the team would need to negotiate with Archie comics to use the characters. While WB owns the rights to Riverdale, the greater Archie franchise is still handled by a third party and that's probably an extra hoop that the team wouldn't want to deal with for a character that's ultimately going to be contentious.

Want: 100%

So remember when we rated Rue from Euphoria and I decided to give her a 0% because despite the show being insanely well-made, I felt like representing it in a wacky fighting game felt really dirty and undermines the heavy subject matter that is integral to the show’s identity? Yeah well Riverdale is the exact opposite case. The show is 100% trash through and through and completely ****s the bed when it comes to depicting a majority of struggles that plague high schoolers. If Euphoria only has some “how do you do, fellow kids” awkwardness while still getting at the heart of what the teenage struggle is like, Riverdale cranks it up to 11 and makes it hard to see these characters as anything but adults in their 30s trying to desperately imitate a demographic they have never interacted with in their lives. Any serious topic is horribly botched to the point of borderline offensiveness, and the dialogue features such gems as Jughead’s “I’m a weirdo” speech or “you never got to experience the epic highs and lows of high school football.”

Oh yeah, also it forgoes the whole semi-realistic murder mystery high school drama premise and essentially becomes a bat**** ****ing insane sci-fi thriller/horror anthology involving organ harvesting cults, zombies, aliens, wizards, ghosts, mole people, underground nuns, the rat king, and evil billionaires, as well as having such plot points as Archie joining the military and characters getting straight-up superpowers. If you want a good idea of how off the rails this show can get, I’d highly recommend Super Eyepatch Wolf’s Riverdale vid as a starting point. It will never not be insane to me that what started off as “what if a silly ‘60s comic about teenagers getting milkshakes was a gritty high school drama” turned into a complete fever dream of a show. When you have no artistic integrity to compromise, Archie and friends duking it out alongside Ultra Instinct Shaggy sounds less like a gross disservice to the source material and more like an actual plot synopsis for Season 7.

As for who you’d include, there’s a lot of options that all bring something unique to the table. There’s obviously the main character Archie, who can bring his military expertise and iconic gun to the battlefield. Amongst the rest of the main cast, we also have FBI agent/maybe vampire Betty, bee queen Cheryl Blossom, Jughead, that one cult leader that was planning to launch himself into space to escape from the FBI, and so much more. Honestly with how varied this cast's set of abilities are and how Multiversus likes to double down on reps, you could totally get away with adding two Riverdale reps and have them both be totally unique from each other. I would personally go with Archie and Betty based purely on moveset potential and relevance in the show, but you really can't go wrong with any Riverdale character. I ****ing love this stupid ass show and if by some miracle they give it a rep I will be one of the five people popping off hard.

Chance - 1%. Yeah I can't see this movie being added. For how iconic it is, it's also... not for good boys and girls, to put it lightly. To be fair, there are series already in the game that also have more mature content (such as GoT and Rick and Morty), and there are incredibly requested series with mature content (Mortal Kombat and Breaking Bad), but Clockwork Orange is simply more. The movie is about a literal murderer and rapist, and seeing if he could be made into a not-that. I don't want to sound like a puritan screaming "look out for the children!!!!!1!", I have no doubt this movie is good, but i don't think it really fits having Alex Delarge chilling with Steven Universe and Bugs Bunny. Yeah, there was the cameo in Space Jam 2, but not only was that a blink-and-you-miss-it cameo (as compared to the permanent spotlight a Multiversus appearance would be), that already brought a bit of controversy. I would say that this movie is in a slightly better position than Gone With the Wind, because at least the Droogs are very clearly depicted in the wrong, but still - there will be no ultra violence in this game.

Want - Abstain. I haven't watched the movie or read the book. Though looking into it on Wikipedia, I found out something I think is really interesting. The book ends with a chapter of Alex saying basically "yeah i grew out of psycopathy im a cool dude now", something removed from the US release of the book and the movie. While this sounds like a strange form of censorship, like the alternate ending of Fight Club in China, it's basically the other way around. Basically everyone was telling the author "this last chapter really doesn't make sense" but he was really adamant that it improves the story and was kind of pissed it wasn't in Kubrick's movie. It doesn't really matter for anything, especially Multiversus, but I just think it's weird.

The Fish Wrestler

Chance - 20%. This is a weird one, as while Riverdale is one of the CW's biggest properties, the CW is also on a downward spiral. To the best of my knowledge, the only noteworthy shows on the channel are done or ending, and it's status as a collaboration between two companies is not a valuable trait in the modern TV landscape (see also; Hulu). This extends to Riverdale, as it's next season will be it's last. While yes, Archie Comics will still exist, that might not be a benefit - why would Warner want to promote some other comic company? Hell, going back to the CW, there are plenty of characters they could add to represent that channel - Green Arrow and The Flash, for example. While i will admit i am not the target demographic for this show, and I did accomidate my score to account for potential bias, i don't think it's that likely.

I never saw the Clockwork Orange movie so I don't feel like I can make an educated guess about how likely it is (other than saying it's not very probable) but I'm interested in talking about what this character means in a game like Multiversus going from the book.

Want: 15%

So, Alex is a terrible character and the book spends its first portion spends drilling it into our heads. He's a bully, a thief, a sex offender, and a murderer. He takes glee from kicking down others, mostly because it gives him a sense of control and satisfaction that the dystopia he lives in doesn't. That's an important part: he's very much a product of the setting he grows up in, even though he still bears full responsibility for his actions and has every chance to just stop.

So, when he's forced to stop committing crimes thanks to the infamous Ludovico Technique, that's supposed to be a good thing, right? One less criminal in the world? Well, the book's answer is no and I think this is the most brilliant part. I know a lot of people find Clockwork Orange distasteful because they think its use of violence is gratuitous but I'd argue that making the reader experience the atrocities Alex commits firsthand makes the second part hit much harder.

Ultimately, the book shows that no, taking a criminal's free will away from them and torturing them is not reforming and it's not something society should strive for. No matter how evil they may be. In the end, Alex leaves his past life on his own accord as he was never actually satisfied with violence and was just using it to fill something in him that he felt was missing, showing that nobody is beyond turning a new leaf - which I think is a shame that the movie omits.

I don't think Clockwork Orange approves of violence of any kind but I'm also aware that it's hard to divorce Alex's highly disturbing crimes from putting him in a fighting game. His showy persona would be a delight to see in Multiversus but I don't think I can quite appreciate it when his bloodthirsty is not given the context of how he develops in the story. He's also not a character with a very interesting moveset potential.

So, this is another case of an "interesting but not likable" character that I am fascinated by but don't necessarily want to see in a goofy video game. Alex feels bizarrely more suited to Multiversus compared to some similar characters but I just don't feel like it's a good pick. And again, while I liked what I saw from the movie, visuals-wise, I don't like how it uses the US version of the story.

Abstain: I've never seen this and i will not, i'm pretty much one of the small minorities here who probably doesn't want to watch it for a reason or so.

i am familiar with Archie though with Archie's Weird Mysteries being my first exposure to him and then later discovering his comics at some point, they used to help work on the sonic comics, plus the robot chicken skit(before the archie special they made) and the old cartoon with it's theme song.

Alex DeLarge
Abstain: i don't have any thoughts on alex since i've never watched A Clockwork Orange and will likely not due to it's content, i would of thought that alex is a possible choice to get in multiversus due to his Space Jam: A New Legacy cameo, now though i feel maybe he's a little likely out of the picture due to what's presented in his movies.....but the same arguments can be made for other horror movie and adult movie/shows out there yet it's likely alex won't be an acception with the rest.

I don't wish to nominate a character since it wouldn't be right to nominate characters when you don't have a score for any of the characters.

There are so many Cartoon Network characters that people would want more than Uncle Grandpa, no matter what decade the character came from. Not to mention how the show had quite the first impression on viewers, for better or for worse. Despite that, I do think he has a chance.

For one, we already have Steven and Garnet in the game, and Uncle Grandpa is a sister show to Steven Universe in more ways than one. For two, there is a lot of potential in UG's moveset, due to the lack of continuity in the show. And for three, being a 2010s show, Uncle Grandpa could be easier to obtain the rights for representation than something like Ed, Edd, n Eddy or Total Drama.

So, given the circumstances, while he's not that likely, I can see why he may be chosen.

Want: 50%
Meh. I can take him or leave him. There are other shows I'd want to see in, but at least people know who or what Uncle Grandpa is. That's more than I can say for other early CN originals over the past 30 years.

SANTA!
Chance: 10%
He would be a seasonal addition, like how Beetlejuice and The Wicked Witch of the West were presumed to be for Halloween, but Buddy also has some competition with other live-action WB characters, and other New Line Cinema characters, like Willy Wonka, Harry Potter, or Gandalf. Plus, outside of the Christmas season, I don't see much admiration for Buddy or his movie.

But he's still a heckuva lot likelier than Buddy from Looney Tunes.

Want: 75%
I actually do see the appeal in Buddy the Elf. Let me rephrase that.

I see the appeal in getting Will Ferrell into MultiVersus, and Buddy is one of the better ways to pull this off. Besides that, though, I do have some nostalgia for that movie, even if people my age had the same love for The Polar Express around the same time. But that's for another review.

"Gooooooooood Mooooorrrrrrnnniiiiiinnnngggg

Good Morning!"
Uncle Grandpa
His Theme: Theme of Uncle Grandpa
Alt Theme: I Love Peanut Butter/Smile Juice Song

49%: Uncle Grandpa, while not popular should be among one of the well known characters from cartoon network's lineup of shows coming from the 2010's era with Adventure Time, Regular Show, Gumball, and Steven Universe, the show features a man named "Uncle Grandpa" who travels around the world helping children with their problems while bringing them into crazy events & adventures that ultimately ends with them learning a lesson. Uncle Grandpa travels in his RV with other characters living among him such as a talking belly bag(voiced by eric bauza), a dinosaur named mr. gus, a talking pizza with sunglasses named pizza steve, a giant realistic flying tiger, a robot name tiny miracle who is made for...tiny miracles, and funnily enough frankenstein. there are also random skits & shorts focusing on the lives of the UG gang aswell as other characters such as an evil wizard and a bear name Beary Nice(That's Me) and Hotdog Person(That's Me).

The show ran for atleast 5 seasons, had a crossover with Steven Universe, was on the commercials with every show at the time(including a good morning & good night bumper for the guy, which you could find creepy), had comic books & even an interaction choice making book(i bought it a long time ago, gonna check if i still have it), and has appeared in a crossover game called Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers alongside Finn & Jake, Mordecai & Rigby, Gumball Watterson, Clarence, and Steven Universe to save the world from...evil crystal clones or possessions from their homes.

And that was the last crossover game we got since then.

So, what about UG's chances?
first off before anyone brings it up the HBO max purge should not effect him, for those who don't know plenty of shows including those of Cartoon Network and Adult Swim have been removed from HBO Max which includes shows from the ratings list or nominations such as OK K.O., Mighty Magiswords, Victor & Valentino, aswell as Infinity Train, Final Space, and numerous of old Sesame Street Episodes, Uncle Grandpa barely was able to survive this with only one episode before it got removed permanetly however unlike Final Space & J.J. Villard's Fairy Tale were they got written off for taxes, all the remaining adult swim shows and cartoon network's were all safe & are mostly still allowed to be displayed on streaming services aswell as the network's youtube channels.
Uncle Grandpa in particular has shown more times than all the shows though mostly from some information i heard that the rights aren't completely plugged out due to it coming out earlier in the 2010's era which explains why the show still aired on cartoon network's 30th anniversary marathon & christmas event(plus the christmas stream too), the show is also still available to purchase on sites like itunes and is still available to see on Hulu aswell.

unless there's something i don't quite understand then uncle grandpa's chances shouldn't be effected by whatever happened back at HBO max especially considering how the show is still available to see else were.

Now with that out of the way,
what of his chances in multiversus? well he does has a fanbase going for him but he's likely not one of the highest characters in the requesting scene of the community, however he does have a good shot since i think i've seen in the discord poll that Uncle Grandpa is seemingly in a good spot showing people want to see him, i think if the game continues to prosper and we manage to get some of the 2010 characters in here then UG might be one of the next requests from the renascence era of Cartoon Network.

Only time will tell.

70%: Back in high school, i think i liked Uncle Grandpa which is weird and i don't want to think too much about it. what got me interested was it's art style, the change of background in the later seasons, plus it's creative direction in some episodes does give the show an interesting flare.
i do remember my friend making impressions of Uncle Grandpa which sounded good and i make some here & there aswell.
in otherwords, i like Uncle Grandpa but opinions are kinda hard to say and i'm kinda already going through a lot as is

For Multiversus, I Think Uncle Grandpa would work, he's a silly cartoon character, one who could pull a lot of stuff from his bag(literally) that could work as attacks while also playing in a way that plays out differently to represent the nature of his show, he has a hammer which is usually used to whack people Uncle Grandpa shoots a laser out of it, Uncle Grandpa gets KO'd another Uncle Grandpa shows up to replace him, his head's a bomb!? drops it like a mime(that was from battle crashers, the crossover i mentioned before).

There's much you can do with Uncle Grandpa to make him a pretty enjoyable well rounded fighter and he can be fun as long as you don't recycle stuff from bugs bunny to make him look uninteresting atleast that's what i'm hoping a little.

Uncle Grandpa can be cool, plus i'm hoping we get a stage were we fight ontop of the UGRV

"Santa! I Know Him!"
Buddy the Elf
His Theme: Title Theme of Elf
Alt Theme: Baby It's Cold Outside

30%: Elf, is a christmas movie that came out in 2003, it features a "elf" named buddy played by will ferrel who was a human baby that accidently went inside santa's sack of presents and got taken to the north pole, an elf would take him up as his own until years later buddy would found out that he's human and would go find his real father in new york and the rest of the film says the rest.

this movie was praised for it's by many and it grossed over 200 million dollars in the box office becoming a christmas classic of the modern generation, the movie got a broadway play, a stop-motion special with sheldon cooper's actor playing buddy, and a video game that only came out on Gameboy Advance.

There was a sequel in consideration but actors having uninterest and conflictions plus no reason for there to be a continuation prevented it from happening.

In terms of buddy's chances in multiversus, i'd say there is a pretty good shot atleast by a margin, the only thing pushing buddy back are the rankin bass characters who are owned by warner brothers. they are iconic by large extent and are likely some of the christmas characters that might be in the list of wb reps to use, but buddy should still has a legacy to help him get in the game even if his chances are low.

60%: I remember watching Elf a couple of times back in middle school in fact this was one of the movies i remember the most then the rankin bass films, i thought it was okay but fun to watch i didn't mind seeing it too much but got a little worried about losing care for it after witnessing some critique online ranting as a bad film(that critique is no longer active) but even then the memory i had the film does give me some fondness and the movie i can consider enjoyable.

Although listening to the title theme there was a melody their that sounded a lot like the polar express theme strangely.

in terms of multiversus, buddy would be a good choice he seems like one of best characters to represent christmas for multiversus besides Frosty & Rudolph

The only reason why I am giving him this score is because his show did get 5 seasons which is news to me. I was under the impression that this show just came and went but apparently it was decently popular so hey I guess Uncle Grandpa does have a decent chance. But I just don't see him as high priority. His show didn't reach the heights of Adventure Time, Steven Universe or even Regular Show in terms of popularity and there is still a lot of competition in the CN realm. I wouldn't be surprised if we do see him eventually, but it probably won't happen for a while.

Want: 1%

I'm curious about his moveset but otherwise I don't care about him. His show came out right as I grew out of watching cartoons for the most part. Thus I have zero attachment to him and there are already like 50 other CN characters I want to see.

Elf is a well-known film that is nostalgic for a generation of people so it does have some merits. But it has some major hurdles. Like aside from a musical and an animated special in the early 2010's, it's an IP that hasn't been super active and a sequel is unlikely because apparently Will Ferrell didn't get along with the director. Add on the cost to get Ferrell's likeness and I just don't see WB gunning for this, unless if this game continues for a very long time and they start running out of ideas for Christmas-related characters.

I'm one of those people that watched Elf from a young age. I didn't love it like a lot of people did, but it was an entertaining little film so I'd be cool with Buddy making it in.

Annoying Orange

Chance- 2%
I feel like Annoying Orange is a case of it definitely would of at least had a 40% chance if Multiversus was made several years ago. Currently I don't really hear anything about the orange that would warrant anything higher than a 5% chance.

I didn't like Annoying Orange since it was well annoying. Also it looks creepy if I stare it too long.

Annoying Orange
His Theme: He's Orange from The High Fructose Adventures of Annoying Orange/Theme of Annoying Orange
Alt Theme: Christmas is for Giving

0.1%: The Annoying Orange is a youtube character from the channel of the same name, it's about a talking orange who annoys a random fruit that shows up in the kitchen by acting annoying making them aggravated & made until they are killed by the individual who sets them up there.

The series would become one of youtubers most popular brands at the time and would go out to release merchandising such as shirts & toys, Annoying Orange would later get his own tv show produced by cartoon network called "The High Fructose Adventures of Annoying Orange" were orange and his friends from the youtube series would get into adventures and events such as gain travel to space, jump over to a castle, gain superpowers, and survive from the likes of a strange group of corn, a murder mystery house, and a freddy krueger blender played by Tom Kenny.

The show was pretty popular and ran for a couple of years however despite this people weren't liking the show and criticized it for orange himself and how all the characters mouths moves, and probably even some episodes too. it was cancelled & cartoon network hasn't acknowledged it in a long time. some episodes are likely hard to look for nowadays with some episodes from the first season being available on the annoying orange's official youtube channel.

Plus, Orange's popularity has dwindled over the years despite still making videos it isn't popular anymore unfortunately(Maybe if they didn't expand with a second channel plus other trends on youtube then it wouldn't be this unpopular).

Even if orange has some people going for him it sadly doesn't seem like he's going to get into the game due to warner most likely not acknowledging him & the tv show being ignored by Cartoon Network.

50%: I used to watch the annoying orange and thought it was pretty entertaining to watch, i guess i mostly cared about what orange is getting into and the kill counts but i still have a heart for the series.

I'm still subscribed to the channel but i haven't seen any of their newer content since i feel they aren't good(though i am curious to try to look at some of them) i own a orange plush that talks out some good lines from orange, and like some episodes of the tv show.

i remember seeing orange in MUGEN and thought about how he'd play in a Smash Bros Styled Game, while his chances might not be high i'd be curious to see how'd he work and maybe try to get some enjoyment again for the series again like i used too.

If this was 2010 I'd probably give him a much higher rating. But the truth is, while the Annoying Orange is still, somehow, very much active, he's not super relevant any more. If you're gonna have a YouTuber pick then it makes more sense to go with someone who modern kids are actually into. There was a show that aired on CN, but I still don't think that makes him likely for this game. If there where more memes around his inclusion, then maybe I'd bump this up. But with this games current reputation, I don't think they can afford to use a spot on a joke character fom semi popular youtube skit from more than a decade ago. He also doesn't have limbs, which doesn't help.

Hello everyone.

I know it has been a little while since there has been any activity in this thread. The reason for this is, and I'll be frank, I saw the writing on the wall. MultiVersus' player base has dropped dramatically, 4 months have passed since we've gotten any new characters and overall the speculation scene has lost a ton of steam. And considering the extremely low activity in this thread recently, I felt it was best for us to have a break.

Now today we got some major news. MultiVersus' open beta will close on June 25th and the full release will happen in early 2024. This most likely means that we won't get any new characters, or any major content drops until 2024.

In light of this news, I want to ask you all if you are fine with RTC taking a break until the full release comes out. I figure this would be the best decision to make, but I wanted to make sure it was alright with you all. I will open a strawpoll, but feel free to ask questions or make recommendations underneath.

That said, no matter what happens, I do have something special planned for the April Fools day. Stay tuned for that, because I know most, if not all of you will be excited for it.

Here is the poll:

It is a good idea to take a break until release. Since it seems like it is starting to become inactive.
