Ness for Wednesday, Jiggs for Thursday, Captain Falcon for Friday. Yoshi can be saved for whenever his games come out.

I can understand Gourgeist being a good tank. Most try and use Leech Seed First turn (Bad Idea.) and then I get one dance down and murder them. Then again, there's a reason I run Lum berry on occaision for my Haxorus, Caesar. Goodra is a good special defender that is Dragon, good if you want something that can hit as well as be bulky.
Not to mention every physical hit against it lowers the opponent's speed, which is helpful. I also don't recommend ever using Chesnaught, as Talonflames are everywhere and that 4x weakness to flying makes it easily the worst Kalos starter competitively. And no, Delphox is not a bad pokemon.

-Yeah, which is why I was considering Ferrothorn or Skarmory since they resist them. In that case, should I go with Haxorus or try one of the other dragons?
-Gourgeist can be a tank? I always hear about Trevenant being used as one before but never him. I'll look into him and Mawile because I'm also looking into other Megas.

Yep, the frog ninja shall conquer you all!

Yes, Gourgeist has a very good move-pool and stats to pull off an offensive tank, especialy super-sized. As for Trevenant, its got really average stats aside from attack and is slow, so it's not really that good a pokemon. Also, for Greninja, it's so easy to defeat nowadays as everyone just uses Fling + Acrobatics. :p

What is the name of the afro american dude on other m? I think that he is a possibility since he is the only nintendo char that is a black man.
I know I am late to respond to this but,

Reggie begs to differ.

In regards to screen time, the main protagonist is kind of immune don't you think?
Then so is the main antagonist.

You can't really equate Falcons screen time to Gorohs since Falcon is the face of F-Zero. He has infinite screen time.
Samurai Goroh is on every box cover that Captain Falcon is on.

You would be hard pressed to find characters that aren't iconic in Brawl
:lucas::pit::popo::sheik::rob::gw:

as the entire roster is pretty spot on with the All-Stars. Maybe you could argue Ike and Lucario but both of those characters are from way more popular series than F-Zero. They both also feature prominent roles in their respective games, something Goroh never has
Well then I guess Wolf didn't either. Also I'm pretty sure EarthBound wasn't nearly as popular as those franchises.

The difference between Donkey Kong and F-Zero is relevance, popularity, longevity and more importantly the fact that those characters are either always playable as themselves
Over and under representation is still a thing Sakurai takes into consideration you know.

How about Prince from Katamari Demacy?

I want to make a thread for him (a serious thread), but I just made one for Wart yesterday.
Though I love both of them equally.

Not a character.

I mean he's a character alright, but not in the traditional sense.
Yes, but he is an eligible Smash Newcomer.

Would rather have Pac-Man than the Prince. :p
If Namco Bandai were to choose, it would definitely be the Pacster and not the sticky ball prince.

Why is Fling + Acrobatics popular now?

Regardless, thanks for the advice! I'll start breeding Gourgeist as soon as I get back to the game (btw, which size is best for it?). I'll try to figure out the last two members later once I narrow it down.

Thinking about it, the Prince would make a cool assist (what he would do is obvious)!
Though I still want him playable :p

Still up Peach's dress.
Or for actual black male characters you got Grant:

Prepare to get rocked.

If we're talking black girls we got Lenora and the more important Iris. Who actually could be a cool dragon trainer.

Yes, but he is an eligible Smash Newcomer.

I prefer Wart. I think most here would prefer Wart. I think Reggie himself would prefer Wart rather than getting the **** kicked out of him repeatedly and being an endless meme.

They use Fling to throw out a King's Rock, get STAB on it thanks to Protean, the opponent flinches, and Acrobatics gets max damage + STAB which is really deadly.

As for Gourgeist, the best size is Super Size, which is the slowest but gives it an attack stat of 100, which is pretty good.

I use a special Greninja. Seriously, no one ever sees it coming. I'm really shocked people use Physical G-Ninja. Yes, Shadow Sneak is nifty, but it's not really too helpful for me.
Delphox is good!
I gave my Greninja a couple of special moves too, like Toxic Spikes, to trick up and set-up on opponents. And you have to be one of the first people I've seen to say that about Delphox, everyone else just calls it garbage while denying the thing is easily one of the best set-up pokemon out there, being able to set up both Will-O-Wisp and Future Sight, and it can cripple special attackers with Mystical Fire. In my opinion, every Kalos starter is at least decent at a different stat. Chesnaught is the best tank with Leech Seed and Spiky Shield Combos, Delphox sets up the best with Future Sight and Will O Wisp as well as crippling special attackers, and Greninja is the best offensively with quick speed and Protean.

I feel like this is a very weird thing to say... but this list seems too safe. Too realistic. The characters that stand out are the ones confirmed. Not a fan of miis, but everything on here is very deserving. But is also very... guessable.

Over and under representation is still a thing Sakurai takes into consideration you know.
First of all, you kind of ignored me when I asked nicely not to do that, it ruins the overall focus of a response. You continue to do it

Second, its debatable whether or not Samurai Goroh is truly the main protagonist of F-Zero, especially with the amount the more recent games such as GX and the GBA games, but I get the feeling you have never played any of those. Plus, you totally ignored my point about Falcon being "the face of F-Zero", its irrelevant whether or not Goroh is on the box. Do you think Zelda is the face of The Legend of Zelda, or is Link? Are you even paying attention

R.O.B and Game & Watch not iconic...? They both had their own hardware dedicated to them, they are extremely important figures of Nintendo's past... what a weird thing to say. Ice Climbers and Pit, again, are representing their own game, they are retro characters who are from a huge vault of classic Nintendo properties. If you know the story of Lucas replacing Ness in Melee, you would understand why he is in but again... He is the main character of his own game. Its really weird I have to explain this

The weirdest thing about your response though, is saying Wolf never had a prominent role in a Star Fox game. Have you played Star Fox 64, Star Fox Assault or Star Fox Command? Wolf was even considered for the original Smash Bros., along with Bowser, Dedede and Mewtwo.

I don't think Sakurai ever considered over/under representation as demonstrated by Melee. Either way, you are quickly turning this into a nitpicking at straws kind of discussion and I highly anticipate you to quote one or two sentences I wrote here and reply with one sentence responses. Its juvenile

Seriously, Magician Delphox is really fun to play. In fact, Blaze is too!
Like, I'm able to outspeed most other G-Ninja because I run a Timid Set with Life Orb.
And King's Rock + Fling is lame, they should play Life Orb instead!

You have a lot of audacity asking someone to type differently; however, I am fairly certain that he does it to ensure that he addresses every point. He doesn't always post like that, it is usually reserved for other responses. Asking "nicely" is irrelevant, he doesn't have to conform to your preferences.

So... apparantly Infernape is a thing again... or so my latest ventures into online revealed to me.
I picked an Iron First one up. Thoughts?

It's just not the same. You gotta put a "HOW ABOUT NO." on that Anna.
With so many Greninjas around online, I'm literally surprised anyone is brave enough to use one, considering Greninja is much faster and could take it out with a protean Acrobatics or Surf and is almost an equal to it in special attack and is still a decent attacker.
