Anyways...

How about we talk about how to abuse Pit's movement to its fullest potential. At this point, what areas do you guys think I need to improve on in general to get out of this mid-high level player range...

Looking at Earth... Walk everywhere. Don't stand around either, always try and find a better position. Dashing is reserved for punishing, acting on a read, or transitioning into an aerial. Haven't had a chance to watch you in a while but that's just my immediate thoughts.

If you're talking about Bidou and such then I don't think Pit needs the crazy stuff. Go ahead and learn it if you want but understand what it's for and how it fits with Pit.

CHOMPY I understand. I don't like risking doing anything I'll regret, but sometimes you just never know, ya know? I was planning on leaving for a little bit because I need to figure out certain things going on in my life. No, it is not just band or anything (it is a factor, but there are other factors I need to consider). I recently figured out what was wrong with me.

There's a Robin and a Link on my PR and I have to say the MU is in Pit's favour but it's definitely not +2

Biggest thing is their kill power, we can outplay them in neutral and even outcamp them but they kill much earlier than we can.

Well I might be getting better internet service soon so that's something.

Thinking about becoming a Twitch streamer as a result. I mean, I play a lot of video games and I'm not terrible at them, so... I guess I could speedrun something. It's really far off if it's happening at all, but I really want to do it because accomplishing things like that just feel lonely otherwise.

Kinda been speedrunning for a while now. Don't really have a game yet though... Some games I've played with real routes and stuff like Shovel Knight, Metroid, and Freedom Planet, some games I've "casually" played fast like Sonic Colors, Megaman Zero, and SM3DW, and there's others I'm interested in like Kingdom Hearts 2 or Wind Waker, but I haven't put crazy amounts of time into anything yet. Kinda hard to pick just one because I like them so much, and then there's plenty of Pokken and Smash on the side plus whatever else that's new.

Oh and I can Discord now. Not using a phone from the stone age helps.

It's about time man lmao. Just a heads up the discord can be really wierd at times the metagame channel is safe though.

You speed run? Huh. I've never had the patience to learn shortcuts and such in games. I've tried it but I can never get it down.

Speedrunning isn't about tricks, it's about going fast. If you've ever played through a game without stopping to smell the roses then you've done a speedrun.

I barely even try to learn tricks, lol. Mostly I just try and replicate what I see at GDQ and in WR runs and ignore the stuff I can't do. Some of the more trick/route heavy games I look up stuff, but generally it's me winging it and holding forwards. Really, just pick a game you know you won't get stuck in one spot for an hour and play it. Bonus points if it's meant to be played fast like Sonic.

Wouldn't think that would be a problem since 80% are super short save like the last couple of levels for Classic Sonic

Planet Wisp I agree with

Crisis city though... It's only long cause it has a bit of platforming.

Also pretty sure City Escape and Rooftop Run are shorter then GreenHill. I know, i play those two stages constantly. (all Modern Versions I'm talking about)
