Trust me, she doesn't need it. ;)
I know, but well...I used that cancel a TON in CS1 to where it was like a staple for me to get longer combos. I suppose it could be substituted with a 236A>6C>j.D bit at some point in a drive combo, but that's just me. Also, there's something about 5D and 6D that just seem...different or more likely to crossover or something, I swear.

Well, this sucks. May have to find a new main.

I CANNOT for the life of me get the forward dash to work properly with Hazama's 5C and 6C combos. That wasn't a problem in CS1, because I just did the one BnB and it was lenient as hell. :(

Anyone have any tips to get that to work?

What's the full BnB? Hazama was weird at first with his new combos, but they're pretty easy after a day or so.

It's the forward dash to 5C/6C that I can't get. The one used in like, every new combo he has except his mid-screen low damage ones. D:

So now you are forced to pick a single character in ranked and you can't change before matches, so no more counter picking.

And you can leave a match before it starts, so we don't have to play against bad connections.

I like these changes.

This is going to be a really embarrassing question to the other Noel mains but uh...how do you manage to get the 22B>22BC or 22BBBBBC>66>6C parts of combos off? I can never figure them out. I always either hit B too many times, go way too slow, or mess up on something.

Not being able to counterpick is terrible. What if you're character ends up against a god awful matchup that's not even fun?

People have secondaries for a reason.

Yes. And someone play me. Although I have to eat dinner soon, but whatever. lol
Minato, you available?? I might play another round or two. I only played for an hour and I've already gotten a decent hang of Ragna. I caught onto this game faster then I did CT or CS1. lol

Yeah, I'm still on PSN. If you're up for it, let's play some matches and see if online's changed or not.

This.

Rachel vs lamdba is much better for rachel than it was in cs1 but it still sucks and i don't want to be forced to play it out.

Man that was fun. Ragna's combos are fun to try and pull off now too.

Great games, Minato. Your combo ability is definitely beyond my own. For a 0 connection that...wasn't the worst thing in the world either, at least I found. lol

I kept dropping the Gauntlet Hades combo though... lol online.

Offline matches between us would be pretty damn epic. My rushdown vs. ....uhm....everything you got when not playing online which gives me nightmares from MvC3. LOL

... CA as in Cali?

You wouldn't happen to be considering a trip to Genesis 2 wouldja??

Yeah, I'm in Cali. I probably won't be heading up to Genesis sadly.

Damn. The closest I'll ever be to ya unless a big fighting game tourney happens later on for BlazBlue/MvC3 whatever you go to that'd bring me there. :(

Oh well, here's to more epic online fights?? Also, as I'm hoping to improve, how have I been doing? Asides my combo botching and fail on finishing off Inferno Divider at times.

I remember the last time I faced you I would get slapped around like silly, with maybe one or two wins.

Closest big tourney is Revelations which is next month. But that's in half a month.

Matches were laggy, but you seem to have gotten better. You did win a lot more than me. XD
I need to step it up and get out of MvC mode
and get a better internet connection.

Man, I missed out on the online shenanigans. I'll have to try to get on next time. :3c

5D is definitely slower, and she sort of slides a bit before she takes a step. It looks really weird. 6D is the same as far as I know.

I think using 236A in combos is sort of like the new 6C throw whiff. Keeps them juggled in the air longer for better drive opportunities.

Well, this sucks. May have to find a new main.

I CANNOT for the life of me get the forward dash to work properly with Hazama's 5C and 6C combos. That wasn't a problem in CS1, because I just did the one BnB and it was lenient as hell. :(

Raz, you could always send Simon a message on FB. He picked up Hazama recently, so he might have some pointers on how to do it. I would help, but I know nothing about Hazama. :I

edit: While browsing DL, I came across this, it might help:

"For those of you having trouble with dashing 6C links, as far as input difficulty goes, try pressing C very early on in the dash. At first, I thought I was dashing too late, because dash momentum carried through my 6C. However, the only real thing that affects the combo is when the knives reach your target, therefore, it is best to get the knives out as soon as possible."

Don't know if that works or not.

For 22B > 22BC, that's pretty much what it looks like, but the timing is kinda strict. Input the 22B, and then while your opponent is still in hitstun, input 22B, then C in quick succession. So, you should get the damage from both Bs, and the C will pop your opponent back up for combos.

For 22BBBBBC~66 > 6C, it's a little weird. Basically, you do 22B, but mash it like five times and then end it with C. It's super easy to dash cancel now, but it sends your opponent really far, so you have to run really far to catch them with the 6C. It's a weird combo. I still can't do it.

Raz, you better not drop Hazama. :|

I was considering it too because of how awkward his dash combo timing is-- but then I gave him another try and was able to complete all of his challenges fluently in less than five minutes. I've still got some bad CSI habits, but they're slowly leaving me.

The main reason it got easier for me is because I started watching the frames of Hazama's attacks like a hawk. That way, I would know exactly when to double tap the stick forward for him to do a dash. Pressing the 5C is simple as hell after that because you'll know at what frames the dash command will register. The same applies for the 6C, as soon as you're able to perform the dash, hold the stick forward for just a split second before pressing C.

If there's another online session tonight, I'm in. I really need to find someone that has a good connection with me so I can get better.

I know what you mean, Werekill. Feels weird to have options, right?

The more I play with Mu, the more I like the changes they made to her. She's just much more solid. Also, 5.8k corner combo, get at me.

Mu seems a bit more fun, now.
Still liked cs1 mu a lot more.
i should probably learn some damaging combos before i make a final opinion on her, though.
right now she really just seems like lambda-

It seems like a lot of Mu players are really split on CS2 Mu. Some love her, some hate her.

But I'm sure there are a couple characters like that.

edit: SUPER NINJA'D. :awesome:

@Livewires: Noel's 5D is lol now. It's so bad.
