Given that the game is more corner oriented, you should aim to have your corner combos do at least 3k.

Yea I always concentrate on cornering 3k's, I just need a bit of maneuvering, other than that it's impressive.

That reminds me. I think the best way to organize your combos in terms of practice is to organize them as such as midscreen, corner, corner carry, and Astral (like you'll be needing it) with the first three having subsections for meter building, meter using, damage capping, and mixup setups.

Yea I think I figured another GREAT advantage

Ragna's Belial Edge combo is completely different (and only on corner with the new properties) And his gatling is totally different too. His 6A can only JC, and his 3C doesn't link to 5D, heck, his 5D doesn't launch anymore either. (Unless the foe was already airborn.)

but yes, midscreen, corner carry are what I need to further capitalize my game on.

Pretty much relearning him completely.

In general, I believe 3Cs have been changed such that only certain characters can OTG from their attacks (Makoto comes to mind) like in CS1.

Yeah, very few characters can pick up after 3C now.

And on top of that, then you can learn combos from moves that you get the most hits from, throws, fatal counters, etc. :3c

Hmm...I'm playing it now, and I'm experimenting

I know I am able to combo with Dead Spike in corners but would I be able to do it as effectively if I were to do it midscreen? Any meter gains?

Off CH j.B with Makoto:

Midscreen
> 5CC 2D(1) 5B 6A 2D/(j.B dj j.D) Corner carry
EDIT: K nvm, skipping the 5CC 2D(1) actually makes it harder. It's just really awkward to land the 2C after the reversed 2D.

Non CH j.B
Was already covered above or you can do a j623C~(whiff)D 5B 6A j.B dj j.D Corner carry.

Thanks for the offer, but Dustloop is back up, so I wrote some down. :)

Speaking of Plat combos, there's some janky timing for 6C > 22C > 5C.

Dustloop's not working for me... :urg:

And i have a hard time with that too.
I find it easiest if you delay bubble a little bit and then 22c immediately after 6c.

Ugh, it was working a little while ago. Hmm, I'll just have to practice a bit more. Other than that, her combos seem pretty easy.

Actually, would you mind PMing me that document?

Anything for after CH and non-CH j.B.

And here's something you might find useful for Makoto. In the corner, if you decide to end your combo with BBS, depending on the proration, you might be able to hit them with 6A giving you a mixup.
You can hit them with 6A if BBS hits them with the spirit fist only. Assuming this is at the end of a combo (yay, uber super proration) you can do 6A, Particle Flare to finish them off because, in my experience, the only reason to do BBS in combos is to tack on a little more damage before Particle Flare. You can't do anything else after 6A anyway because the proration is so bad they tech after 623C. In my experience, it's either 100 meter or no meter. It's not worth it to waste 50 meter for 800 damage and a terrible oki.

Off CH j.B with Makoto:

Midscreen
> 5CC 2D(1) 5B 6A 2D Corner carry
The 5B 6A 2D is really hard to confirm into =| Usually I would just skip the first part and do 5B 6A 2D instead.

Non CH j.B

Listen to this guy.

lol, yeah, that 2D, you have to do it as soon as it happens, you can't let that bar get full. It's annoying.

I'm going to Otakon as Hazama. I'm just going to repeat the same quote to everyone I come across. "I'm going to stick this sword right through your throat! Hahahahahah!" I wonder how many Murakumos will follow me around like pets. :|

I just got this game recently, and really got into it.

I'm almost done with the story mode whatnot, but.. I'm trying to figure out a good way to get xp and money. Someone suggested Abyss to make money, but I think I made more money doing story mode...

Only thing I didn't like was Arakune's talking. It gave me a headache by the time I actually got to his story, and I don't feel like listening to him talk in paragraphs ever again.

EDIT: Okay. Yeah this game likes giving me a great big troll face. xD Too bad, I don't exactly have anyone to help me improve like I did with Smash.

That figure is amazing, and I want it just to have awkward conversations.

Plat's frying pan is so neat. Might be one of my favourite items. Tech traps, maybe? :3c
