People actually like Flygon. Hell, nearly every Pokemon has SOME fans, but Flygon is a legit pretty popular Gen 3 guy.

Flygon has always been a fan favorite, people love that thing. Fans were disappointed when it got skipped for a Mega in ORAS, and when they revealed that they were gonna do it but scrapped the idea, it made a lot of people upset.

So if they really skip it again there’s gonna be riots in the streets.

Cause I'm assuming that every previous Mega returns, which would mean that they've been remodeled/retextured for the higher fidelity Pokemon games, so by all means are future proofed for Gen 10

Assuming this game pulls a PLA, this means we're all gonna get a perma Diancie, Volcanion and Hoopa too, which is pretty sweet.

I think that’s part of the reason they made Champions, to have somewhere else for the new Megas to go. It’d be weird if they only got to be in one game and the they disappeared for another decade.

Though at the same time, Manaphy (and by extension, Phione,) didn't require save data of other games, just knowledge of a book that they hid in BDSP, so I would assume one of the mythicals is baked in base game with no hidden requirements.

On the topic of Diance, something I find interesting is that they're one of a very few examples of a Pokemon that underwent "real world" evolution.

The whole lore is that it's a Carbink that has a genetic mutation, and thus mutates into Diance. That's why they have similar stats (Diance has better (Spec) Attack stats but everything else is the same) and near identical movesets.

Tickles my brain as someone who really enjoys biology.
