That sounds about right. Didn't they add about that many in X/Y and then in ORAS? They should give Stoutland and Staraptor Megas.

I actually hope they DON'T do too many for two stage evos, they should just get regular evolutions. IMO. Like Houndoom's for sure could've been a regular evolution.

If Froslass has one then you could infer that Slowking and Turtonator will get Megas for parity with Slowbro and Drampa
And a Gen 6 fairy allegedly gets a Mega, Flygon apparently gets **** all again

keep in mind there may be 35 new megas. Some people are saying this chart isn’t fully accurate because the Kalos starter, Zygarde and Zeraora don’t actually count towards the 27 number as they were leaked beforehand.

No Mega Charizard A-W & Z, so I'm calling this fake.

Will still need to see more, but assuming this is true:

Grass/Electric/Poison/Ice all only had 2 Mega reps, so this at least checks off a couple boxes. Hopefully get get another Ice/Electric so every Type has at least 4 Megas. Slowking seems like a very good bet, but beyond that I have no good guesses.

Would be the most excited for Scolipede, Chandelure, Starmie, Pyroar, and Froslass myself.

Widely considered a return to form, how is Sonic Mania? Personally, I love it! Loads of fun zones both old and new which never seem to overstay their welcome to me (Except Oil Ocean Act 2 who thought that was even remotely ok). There's 3 characters, 5 if we count DLC, and they all feel super fun to play with their own quirks despite the very simple controls and ease of getting into the game. Sonic's Drop Dash lets you keep movinf forward, Tails has his flight to give him an easier time exploring, Knuckles is pretty much hard mode while also seeing a couple different routes or stages, Ray has the Super Mario World Cape and Mighty's immune to spikes when curled up and has a stomp! There's loads of fun secrets to find and the special stages are truly some of the best in the series. Also, if you have the DLC, you get Encore Mode which is a bit harder, look different but has a real neat mechanic where you can swap between 2 characters back and forth, though you only get 1 life per character lol. All in all, I had a lovely time with this, one of the first Switch games I bought. Truly, a great game I cannot recommend enough

With the exception of Sonic Heroes and Riders, most of my Sonic intake came from the 2D game compilations growing up, so Sonic Mania is, naturally, my jam. I love how they expanded on the 2D Sonic formula with new moves, clever expansions on classic zones and just being a perfect example of what 2D Sonic games should be. ALSO AND KNUCKLES MODE

You joke but honestly a Watchog mega would kinda rule. As someone who roots for the underdog, Watchog is a mon I feel bad for with how screwed over it is with its stat spread and just how little it's appeared in future regions. I'd love to see it get something new.

I thought it might have had something to do with how the official soundtrack was released but no, the official soundtrack released in one package (and has more songs than we are getting with Nintendo Music)

(Also I am not even sure what versions they are using, the soundtrack or game versions quite yet)

Looking it up, there’s actually two CD releases for the game in Japan: a Sound Selection, and the Complete Soundtrack.

Nintendo Music is using the Sound Selection minus 10 songs.

I also assume this is because of the game’s three year anniversary like with Pokémon Legends Arceus in January.

Most of these are guys I think could use one, except Pyroar/Starmie could've been a full evo, IMO. It's a LITTLE weird that Typhlosion and Samurott get regional forms and NOT megas, and then the Snivy line gets Jack and ****. I dunno Mega Samurott and Mega Typhlosion could have been badass. And I don't even like that line all that much. I hope Stoutland gets one, easily my favorite of the early game mammals. Turtanator and Vileplume could be good choices since their counterparts have them. Dragonite's like the 5th 600 Club dude to get one. I hope it looks closer to Dragonair but with arms and legs. Decent spread across the gens, barring 3, but hey Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire took care of most of that, EXCEPT KING FLYGON. Game Freak? More like GAME FRAUD!

Y'know what would be cool? If a Pokemon that DOES have a regional variant gets two drastically different Megas depending on what version you use.

I like a lot of the choices here (and don’t dislike any) and that the Kalos and ZA starters are getting megas, though I hope Typhlosion, Samurott and Serperior get megas too. I also hope Raichu and Flygon get megas. Give me Gorochu, GameFreak!

Seeing Victreebel also makes me hope Vileplume gets one.

Besides the starters, I think my favorites among the ones shown here are Dragonite, Clefable, Chandelure, and Falinks.

I can only imagine if we get a direct this week it’ll be a Mini. Such a weird thing to do, holding a separate direct right before the grand reveal of your new system. Especially when February was open, But they wouldn’t be Nintendo if they weren’t weird.
