Also we finally get playable Penguin. That's been my most wanted character for ages.

Y'know what, if they put Mega Man Network Transmission or Mega Man X Command Mission on NSO, I'll be happy. Granted, I HAVE MMXCM, but hey, it's something I'd like to get more people into, and I dunno how cheap it is to get now. Before it was like 20 to 30 something bucks.

Mario Kart looks rad, Legally Distinct MP Bloodborne looks cool, 3d DK looks rad, Kirby Air Riders is cool and Gamecube on NSO is rad, especially for Path of Radiance and Soul Calibur 2, new HW is good too

Do wish there was a lot more on the first party front tbh but very good showcase

Nintendo must be pretty confident in the system though as are other developers. Getting an exclusive from software title is pretty wild. So I’m glad the support third party wise will be strong.

There's a lot to digest from this Direct, though one thing that it definitely did is remind me of plenty of games that I should get around to playing. There was Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Yakuza (either Yakuza 0 or a turn-based one), Hades 2, and one of those co-op games by the developers of It Takes Two.

I feel like a Kirby's Air Ride sequel wasn't the Sakurai game that people expected to finish off the Direct, but I'm interested to see what's done with it (I enjoyed the original), and it seems like a relatively relaxing/low-key game before he inevitably starts working on the next Smash Bros.

3D Donkey Kong looks like fun, but it doesn't seem like they're bringing back the Kremlings from what I saw in the trailer, which is a shame.

Makes me think they won't be the villains for the Seth Rogen DK spin-off yet again replaced by different enemies and villain.

I think I saw one of those ducky things from Mario Sunshine, too.

They didn't really go into detail on what characters were available, so who knows? Maybe they're keeping things tight-lipped and King K Rool is in after all.

I'm really curious about those parkour mechanics.

Between that and the courses being fully open it seems like the new Mario Kart has the potential for some really open and expressive movement.

I bet some of the shortcuts people find are going to be crazy.

Also Mario Kart 8’s booster course was 100% an asset flip. They had all that made for this new game and decided to add some of the characters they were working on. Freeing them time to add whoever they wanted to this game and whatever they wanted lol
