Like the 450 price tag for the console doesn't bother me, but , first party games being 80? In this economy? *.

If Luigi isnt using his poltergust on me everytime I turn on my switch, I aint paying 80 bucks for a game

Also why bring up the higher game card speeds in the Direct if there's nothing on them?

EDIT: It might be a way to distinguish between regular games and those that require a download.

See that’s an admirable viewpoint to have, I’m all about optimism too. But this isn’t about being a downer, it’s about being outraged at a company that’s taking advantage of their customers.

Now maybe there’s a really good reason for this. The world’s economy is kinda screwy right now, maybe they really couldn’t justify pricing it any other way without losing money.

But something tells me they were just being greedy. And if they were, we gotta make our displeasure known if we have any hope of this changing.

Doing the conversions, Mario Kart would be about the price of a new PS5 game in Aus. But what helps is that a $AU120 new title digitally tends to only get charged around $AU90 by retailers. Hopefully the same happens with Switch 2 games.

Well 70 dollars is more so Sony/X-Box ect. fault setting the precedent. 80 is probably THAT and Tarrifs cause ****** voted wrong in my country by being short-sighted fools.

Well it looks like every game wont be $80, which is good. Probably just a few premium titles, like TOTK.

MKWorld better be a really impressive game to justify this. I mean it looks good, but sheesh…

Well said there. If everyone is outraged at the ridiculous pricing, then speak up on it! It's the best way we can make a change in this crazy world.

I mostly said all that because, even beyond Nintendo, the economy and the tariffs have gotten so wild lately, and I wanna try and be optimistic about the future, but sometimes...that gets really hard.

You’ed think this would affect things but with the current gaming culture they’re gonna sell plenty and change nothing.

I wasn't expecting games to be $60 anymore given how trends work.

I’m not stoked about it, but that seems to be the way the wind is blowing. It wasn’t too long ago that games were $50, before $60 became the norm.

Jumping straight to $80 across the board so soon though, that would’ve been completely outrageous. $70 games is only decently outrageous

The site is saying with a bunch of asterisks that it's just the MSRP but the fact that they avoided mentioning price in the Direct makes me think that's just what it's gonna be.

Just looked at the website and it does not change any of my feelings about the new DK game. We have another Jungle Beat on our hands and it ****ing blows.

They’re gonna pull the same bs in interviews to about how “the game is just so radically different it didn’t feel like the old characters belonged” and it just sucks man. Today was supposed to be a happy day. Why couldn’t I just get a win? I don’t want to be some soulless void who doesn’t care about anything and is fine with whatever they serve me because “at least I have food”. No! That’s bull ****!
