Higher taiffs means higher prices and to match prices, we Europeans need to suffer when US companies are involved with stuff like this. I'm just wondering how this will happen in a country with people who own guns and people who lose their **** at video games having women or whatever, iirc both people who tried to shoot Trump last year were right wing so like, there's clearly some overlap

Pretty muj, foreigners are icky and bad so their products must be overpriced so American ones end up cheaper and sell morw on the market! Please ignore how increased production costs due to AI generated tariffs will affect American corporations super hard and how lack of regulation in the US allows their homemade stuff to be genuinely so much worse than say, back in the EU or Asia. It's just gonna cause another crash when things are already going badly

Unfortunately these games are probably gonna cost like 40% more in Israel because everything here is so ****ing expensive, especially Nintendo stuff. Did you know that amiibo cost over 30 dollars in the Nintendo store? This is why I stopped collecting them.

Christ that's like double when they were new, and then the Street Fighter VI ones are gonna be 30 a pop standard. At least the Switch 2 version of that game is surprisingly worth it, 60 USD for the base game and I believe all the DLC so far?

30 dollars a pop for mid quality display pieces with some NFC chips? What the ****???

I wouldn't have gotten them anyway since I only really collected the Smash line but this is ridiculous, I can get some SH Figuarts for slightly more than that

Right, I missed that, thanks for the reminder. I thought Bravely Default was the only one which is weird cause I think Cyberpunk isn't one despite the filesize and some of the first party titles shown are on par or even exceed BD's filesize. Cyberpunk is all on a regular game card, just like Witcher 3 was on Switch 1. Bravely Default being one is weird because its only 11 GB. Street Fighter VI is 50 GB.

Actually fun fact, the first game I played on my PS5 was Symphony of the Night because I am a massive dweeb, seeong as I'm mooching NSO off of a friend, I could very much make it a reality that the first game I play on the Switch 2 ends up being like Soul Calibur 2 or Wind Waker

If you told me "I'm boycotting and will not buy Switch 2 or ever forever", I would have a hard time believing you, because it ends up being performative and it'll be difficult to group up enough players. Remember that famous image of people boycotting Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and yet in that group like 50% of the people ended up playing it anyways? Remember when people raised pitchforks over Sony raising its subscription costs for PS+ or when they tried to advertise their digital only PS5 console? People raised pitchforks over that, yet nothing happened in the end. It didn't even seem to impact their financials at all.

I know gamers online can be really immature sometimes but like, it's not like I want a boycott or am not excited for the Switch 2. It's that the economy is really rough, looking to get even rougher, and that this price hike happened really fast.

I already struggle to afford games and now it's going to be even harder.

All they do is RUIN THINGS AND MAKE THEM WORSE INSTEAD OF, you know, conserving the status quo or at least making sure things don't go worse, but yay, ruin gaming! I also expect prices for PS5 and Xbox consoles to go up because of tariffs. Seriously, they can go **** right off.

From what I have read this seems to be mainly for USA preorders but it really sucks having to deal with exhorbitant prices because of a dumb president. FACEPALM
