I certainly wouldn't be surprised if they did. If Toon Link stays I can see them add Toon Zelda with whoever is her transformation. With Mario anything is possible I guess...

Mario and Zelda getting new characters? Actually, I don't expect newcomers from these, but I certainly would like to see Bowser Jr. and Ghirahim.

Waluigi, Tingle, Impa and Dr. Mario returning aren't bad choices either, but wouldn't bring as much hype as the two above.

It's kind of a doubtful thing that Mario or Zelda will get a new character, considering the character we do need are already included. Mario Luigi, Bowser, Peach, Link, Zelda, Ganondorf, it's going to be kind of rough to top the main stars of their respective franchises. Of course it could happen, but it's a gamble. Mario seems to have a better chance at getting a character then Zelda though.

I suspect Mario will, and it'll either be Toad, Bowser Jr, Paper Mario, or Waluigi. I'm leaning towards Jr, but it's really a toss up.

Zelda doesn't really have any character too popular or too important to add, they've already got the series staples, and two Links, so, it's possible, but I doubt it'll be anyone other than Toon Zelda or maaaybe Tingle (but I doubt him). My guess is the SS representation will come from the character designs, the stages, and the trophies (though hopefully with a bit more variety this time. Was upset how everything was a TP or WW trophy last time ).

Well having Waluigi would be weird if Wario is not a Mario universe rep. And I think if a zelda character is gonna get in at all it would probably be Skull Kid. But, do we need any more Zelda characters?

I agree. The biggest and most prominent character from both series are already in, so all that's left are secondary characters that are recurring but not as famous or prominent in the series.

These other characters include Tingle, Impa, Vaati, Bowser Jr., Skull Kid and Ghirahim. Sure, they have their own degree of importance within some games, but they definitely aren't in the same boat as the characters already in Smash. The only character that can be considered on the same level is Toad, but given his status as a special move for Peach, he doesn't seem likely, but then again, anything can happen.

Believe it or not this undoubtedly IS the most hypocritical forum in the history of the internet. Gonna love hearing this. Hope Swampasaur doesn't mind me stealing his format.

Reasons:

1. Criticize Noah for doing everything YOU are doing, including being rude, being childish, avoiding the subject because you are losing a "debate", and stating that if people don't agree with you that their opinion is FACT. (EX: "It's obvious we proved this guy wrong about Ninten being not even close to Dark Samus.") What is the criteria for winning a debate again? The fact that you're the only one on your own side shows you haven't exactly changed any minds to your favor. Last I checked, it's the losing side that only has one member after the debate has gone through. Beyond that, we changed the subject because the thread was starting to turn into a "Listen to Noah be a martyr while everyone else is wrong" thread. That's off topic, as is responding you right now, so I guess the both of us a thread de-railers right now.

2. Claim Dark Samus is okay when Ninten is not. (EXTREMELY HYPOCRITICAL) Aside from the near-universal understanding of why Ninten and Dark Samus are separate matters, Ninten is simply irrelevant and unpopular as a Mother series rep. He was foregone in the very first Smash Bros. for Ness instead. There is a much higher demand for Masked Man or Porky than there is for Ninten. Dark Samus is not anyone's predecessor and is not anything remotely similar to Samus outside of name and silhouette.

3. Troll somebody who's not trolling and then call them a troll for not responding nice to a troll comment. The way you're handling all this backlash in the first place shows that you're either a professional troll beyond my comprehension or that you simply have no tolerance for the mannerisms of this forum, let alone most of the internet.

If you disagree go ahead. But, people on here ARE hypocrites. Deny it all you want. There's really no getting around that. Someone being a hypocrite isn't really an opinion. If you criticize somebody for something there is evidence of you doing, then you are a hypocrite Yet you credit yourself for doing none of this as well. You can stop playing yourself up as "the only right one in an entire forum of immature idiots". It makes you look all the more arrogant.

LOL, I was simply informing him that because of YOU guys, it won't be long til you guys come back to a closed case. It seems until this guy, I've been the only one who has been trying to change the subject all the time and you act like you guy act like you NEVER go back to closed cases.

I'm going to make this very clear: You aren't doing yourself any good by continuing to post here. If you are that offended by us, do something about it and stop giving us reasons to criticize you. Sorry it took a long time to reply, but I pretty much agree with what Golden said. If Sakurai had said Starfy didn't "warrant" inclusion, like was originally thought, then that can change over time, Starfy could eventually warrant inclusion in Sakurai's mind. But he said he didn't think any character between Pikmin and Brawl had characters suitable for Smash, which, unless Starfy drastically changes (which he hasn't), is fairly definitive. Increasing merit is easier than suddenly becoming fighter material with really nothing new to go on (the one Starfy game released after Brawl didn't do that much to expand Starfy's basic fighting ability - which I agree he has, but I guess Sakurai doesn't).

Yes, I see where you're coming from. I think it mainly stems from me thinking I found the right thing, but in reality, did not. I thought it was a case of fan mistranslation, but in the end, I looked in the wrong magazine.

And tbh the only reason I don't think Sakurai mentioned Starfy in that NP interview is because he was Japan-only at the time.

I agree Starfy has more in his favour now, and if not "warranting" inclusion was the problem before, I'd agree he's done enough to be reconsidered, but as it was really Starfy himself that was the problem, I don't know how likely it is that he'll show up. Not that I dislike Starfy or anything, I defend him when people keep trying to bring up Sakurai bias, but it seems he's kinda been ruled out.

I've actually been coming to the conclusion that I'm losing quite a bit of faith in Starfy's chances, myself. It mainly came down to me trying to find some contradictory evidence that clearly wasn't there, but yeah. I'm sort of coming to that realization. It's a shame, though, but life moves on.

That being said, I still support the hell out of him, I just may keep him off my prediction rosters soon if the outlook doesn't start changing for him.

When I first saw all you wrote I thought either it must be unrelated to Muddy or you're really pissed.

Just as a quick tip: it really does take a lot for me to get angry. In all actuality, I think I've gotten angrily hostile on this board all of...one time.
