Between this and the fact that Dreamworks just...doesn't operate the same way much of Disney does, partly by virtue of being a completely different company anyway, I'm actually having some hope for this remake.
I don’t want to jinx it, but could you imagine If the first Dreamworks remake was actually pretty good while Disney’s been pushing out live action schlock for a decade?

That’d be crazy.

So I guess, so much for the idea of the HTTYD LA remake being more like the books? Cuz I'm pretty sure the Night Fury species was made up SPECIFICALLY for the animated films.
Yeahhhh this is 100% the movie universe.

Apparently the trailer even has movie 2 dragons as well, bridging the gap between the first film and the sequels. No book canon here.

Cutting off a min min main's d*ck
here is a cool joke
Two hunters are in the woods when one of them collapses. His hunting buddy immediately calls 911. "My friend isn't breathing," he shouts into the phone. "What should I do?" "Relax," the operator tells him. "I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead." There's silence, and then a gunshot. The guy gets back on the phone and says, "OK, now what?"

Started a new save file on Scarlet to go for the shiny meloetta and randomly found this along the way.

It's male and naughty nature to. I already have another shiny Gallade that I found but hey, I'll be able to use this one as part of a story playthrough.

Of course there is a part of me tempted to give it a modest mint and evolve it into a Gardevoir. Decisions, decisions.

Wasn't the Jungle Book remake fairly well-received? That was one of their earlier ones and I thought it was generally considered pretty good.

Either way, considering that very few, if any of their live-action remakes beyond The Jungle Book have been considered good films since (and most of them are considerably flawed compared to the original works), and their very first attempt at one (AKA the 101 Dalmatians remake) was also e flop, Dreamworks hitting the ball out of the park on their very first attempt at the same type of project, after years and years of mediocre at best remakes would be nuts.

Jungle Book was decent, and I don’t think Aladdin was too bad either. But neither of them were as good as the originals.

And two “okay” films in an ever growing collection of movies ranging from steaming mid to hot ass, isn’t a massive accomplishment :nifty:

Colors is simple, but it’s a solid platforming game and a great time. It’s probably the most “Nintendo” feeling Sonic game. Even more than Lost World, which was blatantly trying to rip off Mario Galaxy.

Sonic Generations is just amazing. The only real gripes with the game is that the final boss sucks, and that there’s not more of it to play. Thankfully that last issue’s been fixed with the addition of Shadow Generations, which is also radical. There’s really never been a better time to get into Sonic Generations.
Having just beat Sonic Generations for the first time less than two weeks ago, I will say this: I WOULD RATHER FIGHT THE END IN SONIC FRONTIERS: FINAL HORIZONS AGAIN THAN FIGHT THE TIME EATER EVER AGAIN!!!
TGA Game of the Year nominees are in:

Astro Bot
Balatro
Black Myth Wukong
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
Metaphor Refantazio

Edit: My two cents is that I never played any of these games.

Also, I’m not a fan of the Elden Ring DLC being there (I feel DLC should get a separate category and not be tied to GOTY).

And, although I enjoy the game, I feel Multiversus should not be up for Best Fighting Game again. Not only because it won two years ago, but I feel there are other fighting games that deserve the recognition too (DBZ Sparkling Zero anyone? Then again, I haven’t played that either (I’m not a Dragon Ball fan so probably never will)).
Multiverses should not be there and neither should the Marvel Fighting Game Collection!
Someone recommend me a anime or two to watch instead of the TGA.

Dandadan is already on the list.
Delicious In Dungeon if you haven't seen it yet.
Folks, are you ready?

The invasion of the Padoru force is drawing nearer by the minute.
The Padoru wall will fall after Thanksgiving.

Well, Bowser vs Eggman Death Battle is going to stay on people's minds for a while. Fun fact: Victor Borba that sang "Bury the Light" did his work for Game Over.
Two kings killing for the crown

Behold the king, let it be known

Just watched a video about the history of Oda's health-related hiatuses. I only caught up with One Piece in 2022 so I kinda figured there weren't any before the pandemic, but I guess that was a silly thought, huh?

Anyway, the good news is that Oda's health struggles combined with the very vocal support from the fanbase (you can say a lot about One Piece fans but sometimes they can be real ones) have led to Jump prioritizing the health of its creators more. Oda's legacy doesn't just come from creating one of the greatest stories of our time, he also changed the industry practices for the better even if it does have ways to go.

The fact that one of my favorite creators of all time struggles with health issues and charges through them is incredibly inspiring to me as a creative. That being said, get some rest, Oda-sensei, and get well soon.

Sora explain what happened to those other friends on Destiny Island
I think they've pretty much just been dropped. It's a bit weird if you go back to Chain of Memories because Sora thinks of them alongside Kairi and Riku. If they show up again it'll probably just be in a minor capacity.

Could be worse. Could be Sora's mum.

Metaphor might have honestly rekindled my love for fantasy RPGs.

I know it's easy for ATLUS games to win me over but I was so skeptical about whether or not I'd like this one before its release.

I love getting messages about Black Friday , not just cause it makes my work take significantly longer but because it'll never not be funny to look at the eshop. Like, I love imagining someone go "Hmmm, do I want to get the new Prince of Persia with all the DLC for 25 euros? How about both the Crash and Spyro remakes for that price, or Doom Eternal for just 10? Wait a minute... Is that... A 7 year old Nintendo game for 40 euros instead of 60?!? What a steal!"

Well this is pretty bad. The more I read into it, the worse it gets. Not only would it somehow give Sony an even greater monopoly on the Anime/Manga industry (already owning Crunchyroll, Aniplex, etc.), it could interfere on the Video Games side given some of the studios that are under the Kadokawa umbrella. Ex. Spike Chunsoft for the Mystery Dungeon series.

Kadokawa also owns Acquire, the studio behind Mario & Luigi Brothership. :mario64::luigi64:

Tbh the studios probably wouldn't be prohibited from working on Nintendo games seeing as we're getting multiplat Sony games but this is basically Japan's version of the ActiBlizzard buyout which is obviously very bad. Monopolies ****ing suck

So Sony is currently in talks with purchasing Kadowaka, the creator company of Gamera.

Bro! Could you imagine an animated Gamera film in the animation style of the Spider-Verse films and its writing! That **** would be so peak! :D

We've never been so close to the franchise being potentially revived if this and Rebirth from last year is anything to go by!

All things considered though. I would rather much prefer Toho buying out Kadowaka Corporation (Especially if it meant Godzilla vs. Gamera becoming a film).

But anything to have the big turtle come back in his full glory (As long as it's in the hands of the writers of the Spider-Verse films).

If it’s gonna not happen, it would only be if it affects Japan’s monopoly laws… if they have any, which I don’t know nor care enough to find out.

What if the dragons from Bubble Bobble got added to MonkeBall?
Now it has Godzilla and Miku, and the previous game had Sanrio characters and the eyeball from Monster Rancher. How would they top that?

Destiny Island was restored like all the other worlds that fell into darkness so they’re probably just living their lives while Sora tries to save the Disney multiverse
Squad done left him dip
I mean most of them have their own stuff to work out...

(No, I don't know how that works with Yuna and Rikku being fairies, and also Selphie from a completely different game being there)
them being Final Fantasy characters never even crossed my mind tbh…definitely on my lack of FF knowledge

Boy oh boy. I can't wait until Warner Bros. decides to join the train with Disney and DreamWorks and live-remakes The Iron Giant because apparently that's what the world needs more of. More pointless live-action remakes when the animated originals are fine as it is.
