Lately I've been feeling like too much of my screentime is mindless, so I'm trying to cut down on screentime forcefully and do other things. I'm hoping this will also retrain my brain and improve my attention span as that has definitely taken a hit in recent years.
Today I went screenless from noon to night. No TV, laptop, phone, nothing. Walked to the park, went swimming, did cleaning, brushed my cat, and read some manga and books. It was weird but definitely felt good, like time traveling back to the 90s. I don't think I'll regularly cut back to that extreme level, but likely try to shoot for a couple of hours a day. I already mindlessly scroll at work, I don't need to do that at home either.
